The food was absolutely amazing. Really some of the best Italian food I’ve had in NY. The owner was so accommodating when we arrived with a party of 15 and immediately seated us. The service was outstanding and the prices were exceptional for the quality of the food. We will definitely head out from the city to visit them again.

Just ate here for the first time last night. It was delicious. Friends have been raving about this for years and I understand why. The food was amazing. We shared a Burrata on crostini appetizer that was super creamy on a perfect piece of toast. For dinner I had the chicken parm, which was so crispy and a large portion. My husband had the Spaghetti bolognese, which he devoured. Will definitely be going back again soon!

The dining area is a bit awkward(it’s a narrow, long room with tables placed close together). In the past, the delicious food had made up for the uncomfortable seating arrangements, but the last two times my husband and I have eaten there, we didn’t feel great after the meal. The first time, we thought it was just a fluke, but then it happened again. The staff is generally friendly. Maybe we’ll try it again someday.

We stop here every year on our way back from getting our Christmas Tree down the road. We have only had the pizza but it is very good with a unique crispy crust. The specialty pizza including the veggie is very good. Service is great and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. Although we have only been in the pizza oven section, the dining room looks very nice.

I was just there for casual dining but it was fantastic. Food was great, service awesome. Clean, friendly, reasonably priced. Everything you want when you walk into an Italian restaurant.

This by far is a place my husband and I truly love. We travel from Nassau county to dine here. Last year we had our wedding rehearsal here on a Friday afternoon and it was perfect. Everyone still talks about the food and experience. My husband and I decided to go there today to celebrate our anniversary and the food is still just as perfect from our first visit. Great staff and very friendly owner. Absolutely a must place to stop in and eat. Only calamari I eat. And I’m not a seafood eater. Won’t be disappointed.

I used to come here all the time. After about 3 years I came back and it was just as I had remembered it. It is a very good restaurant and I definitely recommend coming here.

I don’t know where to start being that my husband and I absolutely love Bella Gusto! We drive a half hour to get there and it is well worth the trip! The food is always fresh and outstanding. Scott the owner and his staff are extremely personable. They are constantly creating new dishes and will make your dish to your liking. Their menu is only a glimpse of what they offer. I wish that another location would open near us.

After my last visit on 11÷17÷11(see my previous post of that date) while visiting my Mother we decided to give Scott another shot. For several reasons: He as a business owner responded to my critical review and asked for another chance. My Mother likes the ambience of the dining room and the dinner music that is played, which is apropos to the venue. We went on Thursday, 15 January. As it turned out they offer a BOGO entrée(at least on Thursday nights) we both had the veal parm(again) and this time it was right on. As it turned out Scott(the owner) was the server, and his bus girl was on top of her game as well. We had the house Merlot(which my Mother has always enjoyed, which is Century Cellars as far as I can tell). The BOGO that he offers during the week makes this an exceptional value. May I suggest that one calls ahead as I am not sure of which nights he offers it. Scott has earned back our business.

I stopped by w/my mom, aunt & cousin, and what a pleasant surprise! Don’t be put off by the ‘strip mall’ location this restaurant has incredible food. My mom had the baked combo(baked ziti, sausages, baked lasagna) my aunt had the Chicken Francese, my cousin the angle hair pasta dish & I had the special of braised beef w/portobello mushrooms/sundried tomatoes with spinach. We had the spinach salad w/warm lemon dressing & the Caesars salad. For dessert we had the molten chocolate cake/vanilla ice cream & whipped cream and the banana ‘burrito’(banana slices, maple syrup rolled in pastry) served with ice cream & whipped cream, it’s the kind of desert that makes you roll your eyes! Every single item we order was fantastic!!! Even the garlic bread was terrific. We all live in west Nassau but will make plans every couple of weeks to take a ride to Wading River to have dinner in this unassuming little gem!

I am the first one to say a place sucks if a place sucks– and let me just say that this place definitely does not suck. I am giving the restaurant 5 stars because I dug it. Every detail. Cleanliness, service, food, atmosphere. 10s all around. So the first thing when you walk in thru the pizzeria to the restaurant, you look at the linens, lighting and ambience and think it’s going to be pricey. It’s a beautiful restaurant. It was very fairly priced! Only a few tables, maybe 14 or so, which added to the experience because all of our neighboring tables were very friendly and we had some nice conversations. I had my 10 month old son with us and he was definitely welcomed there. The food was so good I wanna use curse words to describe it! I had a seafood dish that was shrimp, clams, oysters and calamari on pasta in a lobster-bisque type cream sauce and I was floored by it! So good! My daughter had mozzarella sticks and spaghetti and meatballs and it was great also. Our waiter(who turned out to be the owner) was very personable and welcoming– and his bus girl was the hardest working busser I’ve ever seen! We were impressed watching her buzz around nonstop, constantly making eye contact as if to check on us and smiling. Very refreshing. I generally dislike writing a review like this on the first visit because odds are it could be hit and miss– but I really didn’t get that from this place. I think we’ve found a regular dinner spot here in NY! I feel like I found a total gem on the East End. I’ll be sure to update if it’s hit and miss though

Decided to stop here with my family after a fun day apple picking. It was noon on Sunday. No one was in the place. We sat in the dining room since we were a large group including 5 kids. We noticed it was very hot. We asked the owner to put on air conditioner. He told us he doesn’t put on air conditioner when there is only one table. Really? Get a clue dude! We walked out and then he had no customers again. Would never go there again. Brilliant business owner. Lost a big customer to save a few bucks on electricity. Ridiculous!

This place is a joke the pizza is flat no flavor the grandma is the worst it tasted a day or two old. The owner should really take this serious if you read this and you care about your business don’t serve old stuff gross. whats funny is I was in there one day and I here the owner talking on how good his food is. praising himself cut it out dude it could be the worst pizza place I’ve ever been in will never go back even if it was for free.

My wife and I are recent transplants from CT. I grew up going to Wooster Street in New Haven(Pepe’s, Sally’s — where Sinatra would eat); she lived in Italy for a short time and also ran 3 tremendously successful restaurants along the CT shoreline with her ex. So we both consider ourselves pizza snobs and rarely find anything that lives up to our expectations. In WR, we found Bella Gusto. There’s nothing like leftover pizza for breakfast, but a large margherita with some fresh basil only lasts about 10 minutes after we bring it home. The same could not be said for their competitor just up the street, whom we had been told repeatedly was«the best» in town. Well, not only did this other place’s pizza not make it to the morning but didn’t even make it through 5 minutes before half of it went into the trash. It just wasn’t worth the calories. Maybe one of these nights we’ll have to bring home two pies, so I can make sure that I’m able to have breakfast the next morning!

No word describes our experience at this restaurant better than horrendous! We have now tried the place 3 times, always trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but there is no question, we will NEVER be back. Why? This time: 1. We waited 10 minutes for the one bus girl to clean an open table and seat us… she did about 6 laps around the restaurant to remove the two wine glasses and two napkins and reset it. 2. We asked for butter for our bread and never received it. 3. We asked for more bread, and once again for butter, and never received either. 4. We received our meals, and both had a minimal amount of red sauce, so we asked for more sauce, and guess what, never received that either. 5. It took 10+ minutes for them to clear our plates and that was only because we had to flag down a guy from the pizza side of the house for containers so that we could wrap it ourselves. Experiences similar to the above were experienced all three times we’ve eaten here. Avoid it at all costs. The owner must be a control freak because he is always the only one waiting tables and the service is horrible. Take our advice and don’t waste your time, and don’t try to save a buck with their specials because the aggravation isn’t worth it!
