I love a cappuccino, but the two times I tried to get one from this Cups, the baristas burned the espresso.

This «Espresso Shop» has the Absolute Best Service! The friendly Baristas go out of their way to ensure your beverage is exactly the way you want it. Plus, their memory is impeccable, so order once and when you walk in the door, they know your usual. Their espresso beans, tea, and other goodies are five star as well. I pass other great locations to come here.

4 stars specifically for two reasons, they have espresso ice cubes and when the guy accidentally forgot to put them in my drink, he remade it with a smile.
Service: excellent, they listen when you make your order or their willing to make you exactly what you wanted. The reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because of speed. With one customer in front of me I waited longer than 5 min to make an order.
Environment: this location seems to be pretty quiet even though it’s small. It was clean (even the condiment bar was clean) and well organized. I will say though at any Cups I go to the back work space has always been really cluttered and as a barista I know what that can lead too. So simply while their not busy if they dedicated time to cleaning and organizing, the back bar would be just as neat.
Coffee: by far the best cups of joe or espresso I get in Greater Jackson are from Cups. This location always makes my drink with fresh espresso and the perfect blend of flavors!
Price: Oddly enough I feel they are well priced for the product. I say this because I know their large is not equivalent to a Starbucks venti, however it’s less money. Not to mention, the espresso is always fresh and tasty, and the flavors not too overwhelming yet complimenting to the coffee. For this reason, I don’t care if my large is smaller because I’m getting more of a better product. I’ll take more of better even if it’s less than «more» by itself any day.
Check this place out for study time or a cup with friends, you’ll like the service, feel welcome in the environment and enjoy the coffee!
I’m raising their rating to 5 stars, I got my drink really quickly and it was so good I want another one right now! I had the iced blondie with espresso cubes. Highly recommended for a sweet tooth seeker who needs a caffeine buzz.

Very trendy local «chain» coffee shop. The service is always good, though sometimes it’s more cheery than others. They have a lot of options to choose from. Many of the specialty drinks have lotsa chocolate or caramel or milk (lotsa calories). But you can ask for soy instead… for a price.
They also have smoothies, a multitude of teas, coffees, and espresso drinks. If you wonder whether it’s comparable to Starbucks? It is. (And I’m a Starbucks junkie!) If you wonder if it’s cheaper than Starbucks? Barely. Still a little pricey but it’s a local business so I’m ok with that.
The atmosphere is typical. Nice eclectic deco with hand painted tables and colorful art. People come in and out for their caffeine fix. Others sit and read newspapers, have interviews, enjoy the free wifi and blah blah blah. Haven’t seen too many hipsters if you’re into that sort of thing. Which I kinda am. But who would honestly count that as a deal breaker? I like how everyone is kind of jaded. It reminds me of my home away from home :)
I got the chai tea with apple cider and I forget the correct name for it. I think it’s a chaider? Something catchy like that. Anywho, it’s delicious. She said that in the colder months, you should get it hot with whipped cream and caramel and it’ll taste just like a caramel apple. I might take her up on that. I also got a banana nut muffin for a buck fifty (on sale). Nom nom nom. Pay attention to the price at the end that they remember to give you the sale. I almost paid two dollars more. Yikes!
Only thing I don’t like is the bar meant to put computers on and plug in underneath. Unless you have a good battery life on your laptop then you’ll have to likely station yourself there as the tables fill up quickly. Your back is facing everyone else and your computer activity is exposed for others to see. Not saying that I’m James Bond or looking at porn, buuuut I don’t like folks in my business. You know?
This place is definitely worth checking out. They do use some type of styrofoam cup for the drinks and have a sign posted as to why (because it’s good for the evironment and yada yada). Basically, it’s code for «these are cheaper than those recyclable cups other shops use so deal with it» lol.

I love Cups, but this location isn’t the best. The quality of the drinks are a little hit and miss. Once my husband ordered a granita where the taste was pretty odd, and the bottom eighth of the drink was nothing but powder. Other times we’ve ordered granitas and they’ve been great! It really just depends on your barista.
The staff is super friendly! They remember the names of their regulars and greet them with a smile.
There’s not too much room on the inside, but it is a great place to get some work done. This location has free Wi-​Fi!

Great coffee and wonderful customer service! Everyone is so sweet! Small tables for customers to sit and read a great book or sit at the bar area and work on your computer. I always love that I can grab a Jackson Free Press to see what new events are happening in the week to come on my way out.
