This place is precious! My 3yr old son and I went for brunch today. He didn’t want to try tea so they served him his milk in a little teapot with cup and saucer. He LOVED it! They were so sweet to him! Much appreciated from a mama who just wants her little one to learn how to behave in a restaurant. He had the kids’ pancakes and fruit. Didn’t get a pic because he devoured the entire thing. I had the Eggs Benedict, which was delicious. Eggs were perfectly poached, and I requested bacon instead of ham. I don’t do dairy so I requested the hollandaise on the side. Though I did taste it and it was perfect. I also had their beanfruit French press coffee — delicious! We will be back!

Stopped by for brunch with my daughter. I had two eggs, grits, and a lamb chop. Very good breakfast. I’m not really a tea person but the waiter recommended a smoky tea that was really good. My daughter had the pancake breakfast and they made her some fruity tea. She enjoyed it all. I would really recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened as I love tea sandwiches and that type of food. This place is a small dine in spot in a shopping strip. It’s basically just a room with 10 – 15 tables and a check out station. I was expecting pastries and scones in a case but this is not the way it’s set up. As far as the food goes, I’m a little disappointed. I dropped in to try it out and ended up getting the«pick 2» option. I chose a scoop of chicken salad and a cucumber sandwich for $ 10.50. As the photo I posted shows, it was a small serving(the to go box was also small.). It was about a half cup of chicken salad at most plus 3 silver dollar sized open faced sandwiches. The chicken salad was just ok. It was chopped so fine it had little texture other than the few bits of nuts and apple. It was served on a few chopped romaine leaves. It may have been better as a sandwich but it was pretty lackluster. More apple and seasoning would help and maybe a little vinaigrette on the lettuce The cucumber sandwich was actually 3 small rounds of light wheat bread topped with a seasoned cream cheese and a cucumber slice. This was close to what I make and was good. Peeling he cucumber would improve this as the skin was somewhat thick and chewy but other than being a small serving it was pretty good. I didn’t try the scones or pastries and maybe that’s where they shine. The service was very average also. All in all, it’s probably worth one visit with female friends to do the whole tea time experience but don’t expect too much from the food.

What a new treat in Ridgeland! Don’t dismiss High Biscuits if you think it’s just a tea house — it’s much more. I recently had the pleasure of meeting a friend here for dinner recently. We were warmly greeted by the staff and owner and seated in their modern, but comfortable restaurant. The menu is unique with a mix of wonderful sandwiches, soups, scones, desserts and dinner specials. And hot tea(insane selection) comes with it all! Back to the food– just take my word for it that it was all insanely delicious. The raisin scones with French butter and homemade jam — too good for words. And then I had some Italian polenta entrée that was fabulous. The owner says she just has a knack for cooking and she sure does!
