Can’t get over how heavenly the bread was on our sandwiches. We had the chicken salad and the Italian sandwiches; both were exceptional

Decent food, but pricey. For the price of a salad, you can have a full meal other places. I think it is mostly hype. I don’t see the attraction.
The sandwiches are small. While the salads are large, they are nearly $ 10.
Not a place I would frequent.

The atmosphere is nice, the food is great and the service is good most of the time. Sometimes they’re slow. I waited on a take out order for 2 meals, my brother was able to finish eating his before they even got me mine. It was kind of disappointing that was waiting on a to go order for 30 minutes at a sandwich/​pizza place.
The good news is the manager credited my meal back and I got it for free or the inconvenience. It took initiative to make up for the problem and I appreciate that.
That’s only happened a couple times, the other times I’ve eaten there they’ve been pretty consistent in service which is why I give them 4 stars.
If you love anything with cheese you have to try their Mac an cheese, they have a couple different kinds. My fave is the pimento and cheese.

I made a review here a year ago, it was not a positive one. But Newk’s resolved all the issues and I have remained a customer since. Therefore this current review (with 5 starts) removes the count against them that my previous 1 star review made.
To their credit Newk’s did not ignore the problems I had experienced in the past. They in fact met that criticism head on and they resolved issues. In the past 12 months my experience with Newk’s has returned to my original opinion of good food, good value and good service.

Great place to grab s quick bite. I got the salmon ceasar salad, and it was delicious. I got the full size salad and I had enough left over to eat a full meal fit supper. Atmosphere is quiet. And you can always had more croutons or small tapas to your meal with the tapas bar. Overall good place to eat. Service here was good.

My favorite place to grab a sandwich in Jackson. Newk has many great choices. It’s similar to a Mcallister’s or a Panera Bread in a lot of ways. My go to is the club sandwich and some soup. The white bean chicken chili is the best. Second on the soup list would be the chicken tortilla but all the soups I’ve tasted were delicious. The salads are also excellent. The atmosphere is nice. Very spacious and always clean. The service is alway top notch. Another spectacular thing is Sriracha is available! Yes the delicious chili sauce is on the condiments stand!

Sadly we won’t be eating at this Newks anymore. We come here frequently, and they always get our order wrong or the person taking our order is rude. I think we will drive a few extra miles to the other Newks to get our food.

I have had the Newks Que and the spicy Shrimp Pizza so far and I enjoyed them both. the shrimp they put on the pizza was De Lish!

I’m from NY and just moved to Jackson and couldn’t be more excited about NEWKS. The food I’ve had so far has all been delicious and the pizza was good even by New York standards. The staff is great and the desserts are beyond excellent.

Always great! I live around the corner from this location and this Newk’s location is always fantastic. My favs are the cobb salad, the grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken pesto pizza.

I had been to Newk’s one time before, but most recently ate there on a road trip from New Orleans to Chicago. Newk’s is a good sandwich/​salad/​soup café. First time I had the turkey sandwich with the tasty honey mustard dressing. Loved the pasta salad on the side. This second time we ate there, I had the pesto chicken sandwich. My dad had ½ of that sandwich and caesar salad. Other friends had sandwiches & soup/​salad. All of the food was fresh and tasty. The desserts also looked really good, even though we didn’t try them. The service was also really friendly, and accommodated special orders.
Plus, drink options include Orangina & Beer.
Bonus: you get a really big to-​go cup for the fountain drinks that you can keep FOREVER!
