The food is good, but I feel like I always leave a bit hungry… I’m not saying that portions need to be huge. Oh and it’s a little pricey. To put it in perspective; my wife and I have never eaten breakfast there with less than a $ 40 bill. So it’s like a slightly elevated diner breakfast, with slightly elevated prices. It’s also nicer than most diners. So I mean that in a good way… but if you are super frugal, you may be a bit disappointed.

This is our first time to Raymond’s. We like to dine outside and they have great outside seating. We were greeted by our server and I am sorry to say I do not recall her name. Cute little blonde with a lovely accent. She was very friendly right from the start and she made us fell like she had known us forever. She presented us with the special menus and promptly got us some water. We are vegetarian family and she gave us excellent recommendations. I hade the veggie burger, my husband had the broccoli and chedar quiche and my son had grilled cheese sandwich. She also suggested we should try the iced green tea with honey and ginger which was very good. Then for dessert we had the blueberry pie a la mode and a coffee. We loved every single bite. Food was delicious and our waitress was very courteous and effective.

Came here for lunch with a friend. She had an omelet and I had the tuna salad on sourdough. It was very good! Tuna salad had tomato and lettuce on sourdough. Came with some sliced pickles and a small cabbage salad. The service was good. Waiter came promptly and came back after we asked for a few more minutes. The food came out very quickly! We both enjoyed our meals and the price was great! Perfect for lunch or breakfast, or breakfast at anytime of day.

This is my go-to place to eat in town. Love the atmosphere and the vibes. Very trendy. Food is great(I highly recommend the Avocado Toast with poached egg) A lot of space and very friendly staff.

Nestled right in Ridgewood center, Raymond’s is a decent option for any meal of the day. I’m a particular fan of the all-day breakfast, especially their stellar omelette. I’m not sure what they’re doing with their eggs, but they have elevated the omelette to something truly exceptional. They have a nice selection of salads, and I appreciate that they don’t drown them in dressing. There are vegetarian and vegan options. Seafood, chicken, meats are all regulars on the menu, and they do a nice job with the daily specials. They make a better than average burger. In what has seemingly become industry standard, just about all add-ons to the burger come at an additional charge. I’m not usually a big fan of shoe string fries, but the well-done rendition here is quite good. Just like the Montclair location, the chairs are an orthopedic nightmare. They’re going for some kind of kitschy décor here and the chairs fit that bill. Unfortunately, they leave my back in knots. Like most of Ridgewood center, parking can be a challenge. Be prepared to wait for lunch and Sunday brunch.

I love this place, amazingly sophisticated food, beautiful vintage ambiance, and affordable. Plenty of vegetarian options, and not your mundane red pepper and Portobello with balsamic, they have tasty, creative, and crave worthy food. There vegetarian chilly, is the perfect match for the storm outside. That’s my son’s first time and he loves it too!

The service was polite and I was hoping the food here was going to be tasty… As I read they had amazing hot chocolate amongst their delicious menu. I went with my significant other and we both came to the conclusion by the end of our brunch that it was awful. We ordered the huevos rancheros, French toast and carnitas. Best thing was the jalapeños that came on my rancheros that I put on his dish. Sorry guys, this place is not good — lacks flavor — wasn’t worth the drive. Hot coco gets an A+ — they had a delicious vanilla infused marshmallow that paired well with their Belgium chocolate.

Expensive and mediocre. Gave us wrong type of bread, and food just simply wasn’t very good. 2 stars extra for the manager responding to my post

As a vegan, I love the options I can have here. The beet burger is amazing(w/o mayo)! Fries are like McDonalds… I love the atmosphere and how it is almost always busy, except for the occasional quiet evenings. Staff is sweet. Prices are either OK or too high.

Went to their location in Montclair a good while ago and I found it to be really, obnoxiously loud and a bit pricey. The food was good there though. Anyway I went here on a Monday and it wasn’t nearly as crowded as I have seen so I decided to try a burger. There might be a few places in Ridgewood that«specialize» in burgers but this place takes the cake ever since Gazelle’s closed. Got it with mushrooms and they were good. The fries were solid as well with a good crispiness. It might take a bit longer than some of the other places but it definitely shows with the quality. I think my only complaint would be that the bun is not exactly the best at absorbing juices but then again, complaining that a burger is too juicy is a bit ludicrous. Staff is nice as well 3.7

So happy Raymond’s came to Ridgewood. My go-to spot for Belgian hot chocolate, with giant marshmallows(I always get extra to go). I’ve had the pan seared duck, with brussel sprouts, potatoes au gratin, and it definitely stands up to the Ridgewood food scene. Excited to go there again the next time I’m home :)

Use to live in Montclair and loved going to Raymond’s religiously but since November I had moved back to Bergen county only to recently remember that Raymond’s was in Ridgewood! As good if not better! I’m always getting a café mocha or an Arnold Palmer with my breakfast usual. Oh don’t forget the home made Apple pie to top it all off!

What a great place to have Sunday brunch! If you’re in a hurry, you might get stuck with a wait when it’s busy, but if you’re just looking to take it slow on a weekend, this place is perfect! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great… lots of sunshine pouring through the windows on a sunny day makes for the perfect setting for fun conversations with your friends and family! I had the breakfast burrito deconstructed with the tortilla on the side, and my friend had an omelet. We both loved our food and our coffee and latte was great too. No complaints! 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s not quite«the best breakfast in the world» lol and the prices are on the higher side, but I think that’s totally worth it for the atmosphere and location!

So this little dinner gets really busy, so it gets a bit tight when it comes to seating, it’s is a bit uncomfortable. Food is ok not too many options for breakfast other than the usual dinner food, but for the price definitely not wow. The only thing I like coming here is for the cappuccino, and toast which for some reason I really like their multi-grain toast(which btw that’s the only bread toast they have) To sum it up this place is just ok.

Came in on a Saturday morning. The place is mostly tile and everything echos. This is not the place for a quiet or «relaxing» meal — especially at a time when many children are dining. I ordered the pancakes. They had a very strange after taste to the point that I thought they were on the verge of being spoiled. Definitely not worthy of a $ 10 price tag. I ordered a side of bacon well done which came out the opposite of well done. I sent back the bacon and two seconds later was brought out a well done plate of bacon — so either they brought me the wrong plate or had one sitting around? Best part of my meal was the hot chocolate. So much rich chocolate flavor and with that homemade marshmallow; what a treat. Just a «Meh» from me.

Stopped here with friends for brunch. It was fairly busy on arrival but lucky there was a table leaving when we walked in and within 5 minutes we got sat. The service was slow on ordering after 10 minutes of sitting we had our coffee and water. Another 10 for the waiter to take our order. 15 minutes later we had our dishes… although the a couple of my friends enjoyed their dishes. I’d say this place is below par with the food. I had steak and eggs requested medium rare and it came out well-done. I didn’t bother sending it back. At least my eggs was cooked correctly, but for my $ 16 brunch plate… I expected more. Overall the service was slow and the food was meh.

If you’re a fan of brunch check this place out! My best friend and I always come here when we’re in ridgewood around brunch time. They have a big selection of dishes and everything is freshly made. The portions are also properly sized. My favorite is the eggs benedict with the home fries. Give this place a chance, you won’t be disappointed!

01÷24÷15 I am back at Raymond’s. The food is consistent as before. No changes. I stopped ordering the dry potatoes but I can see they are still dry on plates that walk by. This is a good place. But this place has a long way to go to be great. The staff are professional but often don’t understand or know how to carry out a request like«extra bananas in the oatmeal». The food is a 7 out of 10. Better then diner food but still has the assembly line taste. Example: the omelette are great but the breakfast potatoes are dry, burned and disgusting. The coffee is ok but the espresso is liquid poop. Toast is burned periodically but only one piece out of two on one side(one toaster is defective, fix this). Seriously breakfast with potatoes that you have to force feed yourself can be fixed with buying young potatoes and changing the way they are prepared a bit.

Raymond’s always hits the spot when I’m looking for a somewhat healthy diner-type of experience. Oh and its BYO, so what isn’t there to love? The brunch dishes are always substantial, and they have something for everyone. I’ve had a quiet a few items on the menu throughout the course of my visits so below is a list of my favorites in descending order. I must admit, I have a hard time resisting a good eggs benny so it comes to no surprise that these are at the top. BLT Benedict(special) w/bacon, roasted tomatoes, and pesto hollandaise Crabcake Benedict(special) w/crab cakes and old day hollandaise Raymond’s Omelette w/egg whites, goat cheese and mushrooms California Chicken Club(special) w/grilled chicken, bacon, avocado and pesto mayo As you can see, they have some pretty enticing specials so don’t forget to check them out. Raymond’s also has great coffee and specialty drinks! The only part of a meal here that could be hit or miss is the service. Some of the waiters are better and more efficient than others but unfortunately, you can’t win ‘em all. That being said, this place has earned a spot in my Ridgewood rotation.

We got here around noon on Sunday. Even though there were a few people waiting, we were seated almost immediately. The restaurant is really cute and something about it reminded me of a café from one of my Euro trips. Our waitress had three tables right next to each other that she took orders from at the same time. It was definitely busy in there. I was excited to try the eggs in a hole on the specials menu. I can never say no to melted cheese and a toasted brioche combo. However, although it was delicious, they forgot my bacon and being a meatlover, it just wasn’t the same. We tried getting our waitress but with it being so busy, she didn’t come back to check on our table until I was almost done with my meal which was disappointing. On the plus-side, I thought the corn batter cakes were spectacular and worthy of five stars. I’ve never had anything like it. It was definitely yummy served with a side of fresh fruits. The eggs benedict was ok(3 stars) served with a dash of paprika on top(yay or nay for some). I loved the sound of everything on the brunch menu even though we couldn’t try them all. Knocked one star off for the service.
