Interesting place, I’ve had better breakfasts, but lots of things going on here make for a fun dining experience. Prices are pretty decent too. I ordered a country fried steak. Now the scrambled eggs that came with it were OK, hash browns decent too and the steak was maybe cooked a tad too much — but it was doused in sausage gravy which was REALLY good and made the dish unique in that way. Service was prompt and attentive. This place is another breakfast stop on my way home from the PT job and most all of the places have something to offer that’s good — Blondie’s is in that group as well. I’ll be back.

Still a great place, but I did want to correct my review. The biscuits are not made fresh, they are frozen. I think when I ate here they may have been on special. The last time, the bng was not as great, still good but not great.

Excellent food. We stumbled upon blondies on our recent trip to Chicago. I would definitely go back again. No it wasn’t the quickest place, but it was enjoyable. I recommend trying the kitchen sink. It was fantastic.

This place is over priced and the cooks can’t seem too understand how to cook eggs!!! Every time I order eggs over easy the come over hard ! The food is always cold and Togo orders take a million years ! Your better off with McDonald’s across the street!

Excellent neighborhood place! Their food is great and comes in large portions. The people are friendly and take good care of their customers. The prices are very reasonable! Their burgers are huge and messy! Their lunches come with soup which is very nice… highly reccommend

Nice little diner that has friendly service and good food. When it gets crowded, it gets a little tight in there. All in all its a nice little joint where you can get in and out quickly and have a good meal at a good price. They usually will have specials which adds some nice options to their good sized menu.

We went in on Sunday for brunch around 11:30… Just about every table was occupied but there were a few openings. We chose a booth for two ordered coffee and water. Came right away. Ordered some specials — French toast with coconut/lemon…YUM!!! B/f got some special with biscuits and gravy/eggs/and other various things — he was very pleased. Only complaint? We waited over an hour from order to food on table. I know they were busy but I saw tables with more than us seated after us /served before us /and even finished before we even got our order. Something was not right. People are pleasant but that was very unfair to make us wait that long.

My guy and I moved to the area a few months ago and were looking to try a new breakfast place nearby. We stopped by to check it out thanks to Unilocal’s good ratings and we really enjoyed our food. Right off the bat the waitresses and hostesses were very sweet and welcoming which was an instant 2 stars as far as I’m concerned. Haha! I ordered the Denver Omelete which came well made and wasn’t overloaded with cheese which I was thankful for. Most places drown their omelets in cheese. I ordered a side of bacon which came super crispy and delicious. I felt like the portions were the right amount of food and the coffee was pretty decent as well. My fiancé ordered steak and eggs and he was really happy as well. His eggs came exactly the way he ordered and he liked that nothing was over buttered. All and all, we enjoyed the service and the food and will definitely be back!

Tried it a couple times just to be disappointed. Returned recently to give them one more chance and it turns out they haven’t changed one bit. If any of these apply to you your are definitely in the wrong place. ~ If your not a regular, your in the wrong place. ~If your under the age of 60, your in the wrong place. ~If you don’t like having someone screaming and cracking obnoxious jokes in your ear(Blondie) while talking to the«regulars» and leaning over your table to do so, your in the wrong place. ~ If you like eating your breakfast in peace, your in the wrong place. ~If you like less attitude with your food, your in the wrong place. ~ If your a shade darker then Edward from Twilight, your in the wrong place.

Soooo good! Have the steak — breakfast with eggs or lunch in a sandwich. You won’t be disappointed. I’m telling you — order the steak! The soups are awesome — the chicken & dumpling is a favorite. The weekend specials are fantastic. This is our favorite neighborhood gem. Great food, fair prices and friendly staff.

First visit… last visit. Hostess is loud and rude… place is very small so you are rubbing elbows with table next to you. Cleanliness is not important. will not come back. IHOP is cleaner and cheaper. Sorry we stopped here.

For such a busy place, there’s a decidedly casual atmosphere at Blondie’s Diner. You can get ignored for several minutes and then suddenly there are three people helping to get you to a table, and getting that tabled cleared off. I’d guess that if someone is fairly uptight about that kind of thing they might hate this place, but the few minutes we waited for acknowledgement didn’t seem extraordinary to me. And once seated, the service was very good. The food was good too, with standard breakfast fare mixed with stuff like Spam and eggs, or lemon coconut French toast.(which is what I had.) The Spam and eggs were pretty much what you would expect, the French toast was excellent, the pancakes quite good. Bacon was served properly done(neither limp nor grittily overdone) Coffee was strong and tasty. The only false note in the meal was the pancake syrup. I don’t expect restaurants to furnish real maple syrup with pancakes and waffles, but a little more effort in the syrup department would go a long way. As it was, the honey for my tea was a better choice for the French toast. And speaking of tea: Tea drinkers, when was the last time you got anything but a bag and one of those little metal pots filled with hot water? You have to brew your own and you get just a bit over a cup full of tea out of it, right? Not so at Blondie’s! There you get a carafe of brewed tea, served so hot that it needs to sit for a few minutes before you drink. That’s the sort of thing that makes a difference in my opinion. Blondie’s isn’t anything fancy. It’s a small neighborhood diner, with really decent food, and a laid-back, friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed it and I’d love to go back.

Perfect place for breakfast. Fast friendly service that makes you feel like you’ve known everyone for years. Ive only ordered breakfast here so I can only recommend that, but I’m sure the lunch items are delicious too. I’d recommend a special called ‘the kitchen sink’. You won’t be disappointed.

This reminded me of a typical small town diner — retro colors, bar seating, and a patrons that probably come here on a regular basis. I’m definitely not from around here, but that didn’t stop the waitress from giving us a friendly greeting and prompt service. A work friend and I cane here for a leisurely lunch during the week and were pretty satisfied. I was pretty impressed with the Reuben(which comes with soup and fries), with its thick toasted rye bread and tender corned beef. My buddy got the spinach and feta omelet(which comes with hash browns and toast) and had nothing bad to say. With two drinks, the total bill came to about $ 20 with tip. Don’t forget — this place is «cloesd mondays» as the sign on the outside declares.
