Doesn’t get any better place for beer! Riverhead Beverage always has the biggest selection! Craft, seasonals, imports, I always find what I’m looking for, and at a good price. The best part by far though, is the staff! always helpful with a personal review, or what has been selling good lately. With all the contests, raffles, and free tastings, by far the best beer store on the east end, maybe even the island! Stop in and see Kevin and his crew for the best beer around!

Stopped in today after hearing great things about Riverhead Beverages from a friend. I recently traveled to Belgium and after a beer tasting tour have been searching for all the delicious beers here in the states. I went in today for Delirium Noël and was amazed at there huge selection of beers, many of which I tasted in Europe. Joe and Kevin were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back here for some more great craft beers.

These guys know craft beers. We wanted to try a variety of new beers and they gave us an excellent selection. Now we have new favorites, thanks to their expertise. We will be back!

Kevin and the guys at Riverhead Beverage stock a broad variety of craft beers, are always on the hunt for high quality brews, are never without a worthy recommendation, and are friendly and pleasant besides. They frequently host tastings which introduce both local and and more distant breweries. The place is clean, easy to find, and their hours are convenient. A couple of summers ago they were tremendously helpful to me when I was put in charge of obtaining beer for a friend’s wedding. With their help I was able to provide a variety of really tasty beers and my friend’s guests left happy. In short, if you’re anywhere near Riverhead and need beer, I recommend Riverhead Beverage without reservation. Cheers!

I just moved to the area about 6 months ago. I was so happy to find this place so close to me. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Riverhead Bev. The staff there are not only ridiculously helpful, but they are all so knowledgable, as well. I’ve asked for obscure beers, and if they weren’t available in stock, they would order it and give me a call when it arrives(which was the next day!) I’m a chick, so when I get a large order from there, they always help me carry my stuff to my car.(The one time I refused help, I dropped my bottles in the parking lot and they had cleaned it up before I could even notify them of my clumsiness). They always offer or introduce a new or different beer similar to what you’re purchasing and that has prompted me to try so many new beverages that I’ve fallen in love with. The staff remembered me after one trip there, too. I feel that says a lot– makes you feel really appreciated. These guys are great, friendly, welcoming-always up for a quick chat about beer, and just all-around fantastic. I will always give them my business. I wish I could give them more stars! Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Agree with the two previous reviewers that the staff is friendly, knowledgable and cool. They have an extensive craft beer selection and you can try some of the beers at the growler station before buying. Check in to foursquare for discounts too…

I don’t typically review things on Unilocal but felt compelled so i am using my girlfriend’s username to give everyone a heads up This is my go to spot for craft beer. I spent the majority of my life on the east end and grew used to the inflated prices in the hamptons. In comparison, these guys are quite reasonable. They have a very good selection of craft beer that is constantly rotating, and some fairly limited ones that i have yet to see elsewhere. Typically the two racks on either side of the entrance have the seasonals. The regular stuff is usually to your left along with a few sale items if you are lucky(I just picked up a 12pk Kona sampler for 10.99) and the good stuff will be to your right. They have a good amount of selections that are already chilled if you are in a hurry, and some more in the back fridge if you ask nicely. EVERYONE who works here is super cool and helpful, especially since i am the type of person that likes to hang out and shop slowly and stock up on different choices. Always quick to help you with suggestions, assist in bringing your stockpile out to the car, etc. Every so often there are reps from different breweries and they have tastings and sometimes give away free stuff. Lsat time i was there it was Smuttynose with the non functional bottle openers To sum it up, if you are in the area or east of here it is worth the trip. In general the prices are better than the other nearby stores, and they have more experience and a true passion for beer. Last time i had to stop on my way out east for a quick touchup run and the same Saranac sampler was 5 dollars more than Riverhead Beverage. They are very honest with suggestions and tell you if they aren’t a huge fan of something always have new and exciting beer each time i visit. A definite 5 star!

Riverhead Beverage has steadily been growing as an awesome craft beer supplier for the East End of Long Island. Their growler station always has at least 5 different beers ready for fills, with a majority of those lines being connected to beers from local breweries. They have an extensive craft beer selection that nearly takes up half of the store. The selection is almost always changing, and what is in stock is constantly being updated. One of my favorite things about Riverhead Beverage is that they do a lot of leg work to get special one-off beers that would be difficult to find otherwise. Whenever they are able to lock down a case of a special collaboration(recently Sierra Nevada/Dogfish Head Life and Limb) or a limited production/release(Stone 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA), they post about it on Facebook, letting you know when it’s going to be in and how many bottles they have. They also occasionally run contests where they basically draw a name out of a hat and you win some beer related prize. Recent prizes have included a Wooden Corona Beach Chair, A Budweiser Weber Grill, and a Bud Light iPod Speaker Tower. And it costs nothing to enter the contest. There is nothing wrong with free stuff. Ever. My only criticism with Riverhead Beverage is there 22oz. bottle, or bomber, or 750mL bottle, selection is thin. There’s about 4 full rows of shelves of 6-packs and only one row for bombers. I think criticism may even be too strong a word for it. My second favorite beverage distributor in Suffolk County.
