Old and dirty really a dive but the locals seem to like it. Maybe cause the prices are lower than a diner for breakfast and lunch. The place is small as is the parking lot

Don’t blink you may miss it! The place doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the food is really good, nothing fancy basically your bacon, eggs and pancakes fare for breakfast. Standard burgers and sandwiches for lunch, btw if you want lunch do not show up before 11:30 as my wife sadly found out. Ambience is of your typical diner setting in the middle of nowhere, parking is more then adequate for the size of the place. Overall good value for the money.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. It reads ‘Snack Bar’ but it’s a lot more than that! From the coffee, to the great blueberry pancakes, with eggs and crispy bacon, enjoyed every last bite. Friendly, warm service. It’s more of a locals place but so glad we found it in the way home.

Be mindful, this place is a dive, Ok. It is great if you wanna treat a hangover. Great simple egg breakfast. Coffee not so good, in my opinion. Check it out — A time warp of sorts with about that much years of grease trapped to the wall décor. However, it’s clean and has character which is lacking in McDonalds or Wendys.

I found this place through Unilocal, and am a fan of dive places, so we decided to take a chance. Overall the food was really good, and the prices were awesome for the amount of food you received. There is only one waitress, so it moves as fast as it can. There aren’t a lot of seats, but nobody ever seemed to be waiting, and people kept coming in and out. It was full the entire time we were there. Only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars, is the speed of service. There is only one cook and one waitress. But it is amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere!

Love this place! Small dining room but the atmosphere is terrific. Have only been there for breakfast and have never been disappointed! Everything is cooked on a small flattop grill. Can be a little bit of a wait when the place is really busy but just relax, enjoy the place for what it is. A local place that serves good food at very reasonable prices. Will keep going back! Cash only

We love this quaint out of the box eatery. Favorite place to go on day off I can get breakfast or lunch any time I go. My faves are French toast and chicken salad. Would recommend this spot to anyone who’s looking for a new place to go and I have!

For what Lolly’s is — a greasy spoon — it was a good breakfast. Not great. Not terrible. But good. Prior reviews are pretty accurate. It’s a small place that is understaffed, but the coffee was good and hot and the breakfast pretty good. I’m a hash and eggs guy and will usually order that at a new place. If not H&E then pancakes. Since one of my girls went for a short stack I went for the hash. It was good. Not great. Not terrible. Good. The eggs were poached in one of those poachers, not in water, so points lost there. Hash wasn’t from a can, I don’t think, but wasn’t good enough to convince me that it wasn’t. The home fries were excellent. My side of sausage was a patty. I would have liked links. Abby’s pancakes were good. Light and fluffy, but a bit bland. My wife and other daughter both had the hash as well. Our intent was to have breakfast at the Modern Snack Bar about 4 miles to the east, but they open at noon on Sundays. So as a last minute second choice it was OK. I would go again, but wouldn’t make the trip just for Lolly’s.

We wanted to like it; our preference is to give business to Mom & Pop restaurants as opposed to chains. But this is another restaurant that tries to «nickel and dime» you with ridiculous policies. For example, they charged for a refill on iced tea. Two small glasses(maybe 8 oz. each?) ended up costing $ 5. It’s already priced high at $ 2.50 for a glass! It probably costs them $ 0.10. If restaurants are going to gouge customers that way, I think they have an ethical duty to disclose on the menu that they don’t offer refills on beverages. The flounder sandwiches were okay. Unbeknownst to us, there was an upcharge for the tiny piece of lettuce and the meager slice of tomato. The waitress offered them; she just didn’t bother to explain that it would add 10% to the cost of the sandwich. Fries and onion rings are extra. Surprised? I will not go back. The food is average. The policies are awful.

Awesome dive diner — I got the plantation breakfast: 3 eggs sausage bacon home fires pancakes toast Everything was cooked perfectly and came out hot and fast. I sat at the counter and watched as it all came together at the same time. Friendly service and reasonably priced(cash only though). I enjoyed every single bite. I will comeback here every time I have to work in river head. I am someone who goes out to breakfast 3 – 4 times/week all over Long Island and NYC and this is now one of my top 5 spots.

TIP — CASHONLY! It’s basically a dive bar turned into a restaurant. There is 1 person cooking, 1 person serving and 1 dishwasher. And I’m pretty sure they are all related. The tables will be sticky, the service will not be the fastest, and you will be sitting next to a table of overweight truck drivers… basically my mothers NIGHTMARE… but the breakfast is dirt cheap, coffee is fresh and the food is good! *Also — If that 1 server who works there is reading this — please invest in a tray. Your life will be so much easier. I was a server for YEARS and you can fit like 10 coffees on that bad boy, no need to run back and forth. Just some friendly advice.

Great service and good food! this was our first stop before we embarked on our north fork winery tour. Everyone in our party ordered«the plantation» it was the best meal to start our day of drinking.

Very very good, lolly works that griddle like a true pro. I watched from the counter with precision how each order was made. Can’t say enough about how delist my omelette was. My friend had blueberry pancakes again Yummy. Only downside is cash only. Great breakfast in Riverhead !!

Your old classic diner. ATMOSPHERE: Décor is fairly old and outdated, but it’s clean. Staff is friendly and quick. It’s a CASHONLY place, so remember to bring money. FOOD: Everything is cooked on the flat top and done immediately after you ordered. Simple classic diner dishes so nothing special or unique, but it’s good home cooking food.(Cause sometimes even simple can be done badly)

A little surprised by all the positive reviews but to each his own. Our experience was not good in fact unpleasant to say the least. It is very very small, seems like just a couple of hundred square feet and tables are on top of each other. We ate here on a Saturday morning and there were about six people total in the room. Service was very slow, food was below average and flies were swarming. Apparently the flies see something positive about this place. The place has a dirty feel to it. Lastly another«Cash Only» restaurant. One visit was enough to cure me if any desire to go back

Roadside style Breakfast place. Crowded for a divy atmosphere. Staff is super efficient and hustles to keep the crowd happy. Trying to get a spot opted for counter service. Think basics, eggs, pancakes etc. Blueberry pancakes are a favorite.. No there is not real maple syrup… maple flavored corn syrup. Lol. For what it is, its good at it. I think men would like this place more than women. Perhaps farmers and truck drivers. And me. There’s something about a place where you are lucky to get an old stool or chair in.

This is a really local diner. Cash only, open only until about 2 o’clock. Just 2 ladies working, one cooking and one taking orders– both were super ncie, makes you feel like getting breakfast at your neighbors house. Food is all reasonably priced for diner food. We sat at the bar and i was also super impressed by how clean it was(it didnt have that oily residue that some other diner counters do) We had: — coffee: surprisingly good quality, definitely better than what I would expect in a diner — western omlette: omlette itself was pretty standard, didn’t have cheese which I was kind of bummed about(I thought that was standard) but the home fries were outstanding. I think they were the best thing we ate there — blueberry pancakes: pancake part was good but pretty standard, the blueberries were deliciously plump and fresh(not surprising since we were out in farm country), they were pretty generous with them too — bacon: yum yum! Nice solid strips and cooked to the perfect crispness

Dear Lolly, The coziness and comfort of your hut was just what we needed on a snowy day on the drive to the Hampton’s. Roadside diner, home cookin’ meal done right by Lolly herself. Pancakes, yes. Cheese omelet, homefries, with a side of pancakes, yes. Chocolate milkshake with the leftover in a tin on the side, yes. Cash only. But the above will cost you less than twenty, so just leave that twenty plus those few random ones you have bc service is deserving of it.
