Came here for lunch with my coworkers. Saw that it was under new management. Everyone was very polite and the place was very clean and bright. We ordered tacos and enchiladas. They were bomb! The asada was on point and the verde sauce was phenomenal! The food came out fast and we drank some sodas and had chips and salsa! The cook is the mom of the owner, she is so cute she came out to ask how we like it and even promised to make me some flan for next time. We are so pleased with this new lunch spot. Keep it up y’all, great fresh food and good service takes you far!

I’ve tried this place again. I’m a fan. The al pastor and the lengua are pretty bomb. The asada was good but nothing too special. I also love the salsa. The first time here I had the al pastor nachos and they were pretty good. I will update when I come back because I most definitely will

The food is good but not customer service. Chips are not free if you dont buy a certain amount which personally, i think it is really dumb. Also, when you are ready to pay they wont give you a receipt they will just tell you an amount, a real inconvenience. I have avoided this place for their bad customer service.

To Tiffany L.(from Costa Delmar): You are a total liar. First of all we did not change our order multiple times as you claim, we asked for one of our plates to be taken back one time because your menu failed to mention what kind of cheese you added to the dish. Your«surveillance camera» should confirm that we only sent that one dish back once(although it’s pretty hard to believe that you actually went back to the footage that was already seven months old by the time you replied). At no time did we ever get bossy or rude with neither the waitress nor the cook. In fact, I apologized a few times to the waitress for having to return the item due to the lack of description on YOUR menu. We never complained about the wait, your hateful cook was the one sending passive aggressive messages to us through the waitress just because we were returning the order. Of course you would not have found any kind of face-to-face interaction with the cook and ourselves on your surveillance camera, I never claimed we interacted directly, if you would have had better reading comprehension, you would have understood that the cook was sending the waitress over to harass us and making rude loud remarks to make sure we(and the only other customer there) could hear. The cook even went as far as to loudly yell at the waitress to ask her what she was suppose to do with the the plate that we had returned. We never raised our voice, to the contrary, we were as polite as anyone could be in that situation. If anyone caused the one lonely customer sitting there any discomfort, it was your cook. Wanting to «please us» was definitely not on your cook’s agenda as you state. Even your waitress apologized for your cook’s unacceptable behavior several times. In reference to you stating that we did not want to pay for your disgusting coffee and greasy chips(which we barely touched), you’re downright lying, show us on your«surveillance camera» when that ever took place and how in the world you ended up forcing us to pay, nobody had to ask us to pay, we told the waitress we were leaving after your cook wouldn’t stop making rude comments and giving us dirty looks, we were the ones who asked the waitress to bring us the bill for our drinks and your«free chips» as we would never ask for anything for free. You should tell your lazy detestable cook to learn some manners instead of defending her actions. Next time I suggest you shut up if you were not there to witness what happened. The only people there were your waitress and the cook, and I wouldn’t be surprised to find that you would bully your waitress into lying for you based on the way you let the cook treat her. I wrote an honest review and I get this hateful and spiteful response that is full of lies for the sake of you taking revenge. Your response is full of dishonesty and you know it. In regards to the rest of my reviews that you are attempting to use against me, I go out to hundreds of restaurants and tend to write reviews only when I am extremely disappointed in a restaurant or it’s service– you definitely made the cut on that– congratulations, that means you’re one of the worst on my list(you can thank you cook’s lack of civility for that). To people reading this: Warning: This is what you’ll deal with if you write a truthful review about a bad experience here. This spiteful, scornful woman, will get back at you by shamelessly lying about you. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this rat’s nest.

Last night I ordered two carne asada tacos, to try out the meat, before biting into a mystery burrito(which I hate doing…)The onions were not huge chunks of cold onion, with a tiny bit of cilantro. The meat was warm enough to soften the onion. The restraunt was one of the cleanest mexican spots I’ve never seen and has a large choice of drinks. I decided to try this spot after being dissatisfied with the amount of stringy fat at the closest competitor that I’ve been going to until now. I’m back the next day to try a burrito…

Food was awesome. The tacos ate defiantly a must try. Plus the home made agua frescas were a nice touch too. Defiantly a must try. The atmosphere adds to the place as well. They have a good selection of beer. The waitress was nice and very polite and the food food didn’t take long to come out. This is one of the better places for MeXican food.

This is my first time coming to this establishment and it won’t be the last! I ordered the two Macho Tacos and an horchata and jamaica. The tacos had 2 slightly toasted tortillas, deliciously melted cheese, carne asada, beans(de la oya, boiled), Pico de gallo, and guacamole. You can also ask for their homemade salsa, they are delicious! The have both red and green sause. Their homemade drinks are definitely something to try! Their horchata is the right consistency and the flavor is spot on. The jamaica was perfect for my taste, it was just enough tangy and sweet. I also liked the fact that they have various bottled Mexican beverages.

Thought I would try this place out after picking up my dry cleaning next door. Ordered a rice and bean burrito with no cheese for $ 4. Got home and bit into what I think was an extra cheese quesadilla. Went back and had them remake it. Didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience and then made a burrito for me that was probably half the size of the original. Flavor was decent but really not anything different than many other Mexican take out restaurants in town. Place was clean and the server was very nice; but probably will not be going here again. Especially with a price of $ 4 for fast food sized burrito.

So I came here cause the 5 star rating. I would have to say im very disappointed. I ordered a burrito and rice and my boyfriend ordered 4 different tacos. His tacos seemed like they were old and sitting around and my burrito didn’t have a lot in it. And the thing that also sucked is that the girl who was very nice bit she didn’t speak any english… so it was hard to order plus she never came back to the table to refill drinks or give us salsa. So the food and service is a 1 star but they did so a good job on atmosphere. There is my one positive.

The location of Costa Delmar used to be Taco Macho and I gave the previous owners a pretty good review. I am really happy to say that even though the owners/chefs/and restaurant changed, it is just as equally a great Mexican restaurant. Costa Delmar is a family owned restaurant and has a very friendly family environment. I went here with my mom and she got the chicken flautas(your typical standard flautas), I chose the Chile Verde. I was really surprised because most chile verde has a flavorful but non-spicy sauce and as an avid lover of hot food, it’s rare to find a spicy chile verde. The plate comes with rice, beans, and tortillas. Pretty darn good! I came back with my boyfriend and we ordered the macho nachos(I posted a picture) with carne asada, he ordered a burrito with al pastor(a little above average al pastor) and I got the mini tacos with asada and carnitas. The mini tacos are $ 1 each I believe and they come with cilantro and onions. Every booth/table comes with a few bottles of hot sauce(valentina’s etc) but you can ask for your choice of their own homemade green salsa or red salsa. Overall, I really like Costa Delmar, even though I didn’t order any seafood which is their specialty. To add another plus, they have aguas frescas which include the watermelon which is my favorite of all time!~~ Try this restaurant out!~~ You won’t regret it: P
