Wonderful, family owned, friendly service, great not overdone ambience, pleasing background music, food is great! It is the only place so far that I have been able to find Cream Cheese Won Ton’s and not Crab stuff in it. I’m from New England and my favorite restaurant there is a sit down Chinese restaurant in Montpelier, VT. These folks are a definite second favorite. The food smells and tastes fresh and never like some places out here(like a dirty dish rag). Even the price is great, and the amount of food they give you, well, let’s just say that it often is enough for lunch the next day(depending on my supper time appetite). Thank you folks for making me feel at home again.

I usually go to panda express but my husband suggested this place. Tried it tonight and I will never go to panda express again! This place is way better! The rice tasted better, everything had more taste and flavor than any fast chinese food place ! Plus you get a FULL plate! They really load you up! Its a decent/fair price for all the food you get! I got the 3 item plate with fried rice, mushroom chicken, kung pao, and beef broccoli! So so good. I shared with my daughter and we couldn’t even finish it all together! The lady(possibly the owner) was super nice. Best part of all. the music they play in the dining room:) will definitely be back next time i am craving chinese food!

Having grown up in Riverside, Peking Express(formally North China) has been my restaurant of choice for 20 years. During my youth, with the help of an off campus lunch pass, my almost daily lunch routine was to have Spicy Chicken, Barbecue Chicken, and Chow Mein. Exceptional service. Always clean. Always yummy!

By far the best Chinese take out I’ve tried in the inland empire, the only other Chinese food place I’ve tried that beats it is all the way out in indio(believe it or not). I always get the Orange chicken and the BBQ chicken from Peking, with chow mein and fried rice on the side. They also have great rolls and very friendly customer service.

I know there are not always high expectations for a take out Chinese place, but this place is so consistently good, it is worthy of a review. The food is great, always fresh and hot, but the service is what really sets them apart. Support local places like Peking Express!

So so food at a so so price. Not at the top of my list for quick Chinese food. Staff was friendly & food was ok. A little too expensive for what you get.

Nice staff, good wontons and food. It’s not a 5-star restaurant, but for the price it’s great :)

Most definitely not one of the best chinese places I’ve ever been in. The food was cafeteria style and tasted as if it had been sitting out awhile. It wasn’t crowded on a Saturday night, though, which i like, and the staff was friendly. I also loved the Christian music they had playing over the speakers. Major plus points!

It’s rare that you DON’T come across murder-Chinese in this part of Riverside. Actually, it’s rare that you don’t come across murder-anything here. Peking Express is the only place I haven’t tried on Arlington from Madison to Tyler… that’s a decent stretch if you’re not familiar. I’ve always been skeptical of the place, especially since I never see more than two people eating at this place during lunch. Today I decided to push my fears aside and make the trek to Peking. I wasn’t expecting authentic, I was expecting Panda Express, and those expectations were definitely met. I can’t remember the last time I had Sweet & Sour Chicken, so that seemed like a logical choice for entrée #1, entrée #2 was a side of their mixed vegetables. Add a heaping side of steamed white rice and a fountain drink(Coca-Cola), and you’ve got yourself an average meal for an above average $ 8. I realize that the price directly correlates to soaring commodities prices, continued tensions in North Africa, and Donald Trump throwing his hat in the Presidential Race, but come on! Can I get a buck or two off for being the only customer in here? The best aspect of the entire experience is that I didn’t regret it 30 minutes later. But that’s what happens when you eat in these parts. Every meal is a gamble…
