Visited this place since it was so close to school. The commute wasn’t bad but everything went to the drain as soon as I got here. Owner is very rude, threw the menu at our table, and most importantly food wasn’t filling at all. Do yourself a favor and go to Phở Star Bowl. They’re extremely nice and you get a good deal.

Best phở broth in Rside. I tried them all. And broth is what matters. The rest just use hot water with salt and flavor powder. Tom, the owner, is a friendly Buddhist guy who doesn’t care about your tip. As long as you are satisfied with your meal.

I’ve been coming here ever since 2006. This is the only place I’ll go for phở because it’s simply the best in the area. Place is super clean so you want find nasty hoisin and sriracha bottles, dirty spoons, etc. that you’ll find at other spots. Probably one of the top reasons I’ve been coming here for so long. As for the phở, clean tasting broth and not too oily. I usually get the Phở Dac Biet minus the tripe. Egg rolls & spring rolls are delicious as well. Chicken Phở is solid too. I think I’ve had some other dishes here, but usually stick with my usual. Shrimp fried rice is pretty good too. The only thing I wish they had on the menu is oxtail phở, but you can’t have everything. I can always go to Westminster for that so no biggie. Anyways, Love this place! Enjoy!

The owner is a fucking moron, always cursing and they dont share the tips to the employees. So anyone reading my reviews can ask the workers, there are 3 fucking owner, 1 is the fucking guy with a shit face, and the rest work in the kitchen. They never let the employees eat the restaurant food, only rice, cucumber and fried eggs, thats it. I dont know why they motherfuckers treat their employees like that. This place should be closed down!

By far my favorite Phở place in the I.E. The broth is perfect, not too salty, and the tofu is not fried which is how I like it. The owner is super nice and always remembers what I am going to order. The eggs rolls are also pretty darn yummy.

Love this phở place! It is my favorite place to go when I want some phở, not only becuase it’s close but because their broth is better than any other broth I’ve had. I can’t say anything bad about their broth. It’s perfect. I’ve been to many phở places but I feel like the broth has too much fat/grease in it that can leave a greasy film in my mouth. The same can be said about the meats from other places. But not this one, it’s perfect. I recently started adding spring rolls to the order since I have finally convinced my boyfriend to have some(he loves it now), and the rolls are delicious. The peanut sauce is not overwhelmingly nutty and has a kick of spice. Very tasty. Finally, I can’t say anything but great things about Tom(I believe he’s the owner since he’s ALWAYS there)(and I believe that’s his name, unless he lied to me). He’s a funny guy and knows my order. He might not know my name but he knows me as number 12. I don’t mind. As long as the food continues to taste as delicious as it does, he can keep calling me number 12.

This is the best phở spot in all the inland! They always treat me like family here. Feels like I am eating at home. I have been coming here for years and the food is always delicious. Try the Bo Luc Lac or any of the soups. All of it is good.

First let me offer a short preface about most of my phở restaurant reviews(some that have yet to be materialized and are still in my head. What can I say, I’m busy, lol). I don’t expect much besides some really great tasting phở. Most Vietnamese restaurants specialize in what’s in their name. So don’t expect other dishes to be as spectacular. I’ve gotten some great phở at some questionably less than clean places; stellar service isn’t expected; So any«extras» like great tasting rice dishes and coffee, my water being refilled, etc is an added bonus for me. Like at some Vietnamese restaurants, you seat yourself here. It’s not bad service, just look at it as being able to pick your own spot. We were actually greeted upon entering, which was nice. First impression– this place was clean. The tops of the Sriracha and Hoisin sauce were sparkling, no remnants from the previous customers’ use. Wow. I don’t know if this is usual, or we just happened to show up at the right time after they’d been cleaned, but it was nice. But the phở, was actually great tasting. It came out piping hot with a good amount of meat. I slurped almost all of my broth up because it hit the spot. That’s saying a lot because I hate going out for phở when my husband makes his so delicious. Very pleased to say that we’ve found our«go to» spot for phở in the I.E.

I’ve only been here three times and each time, I think to myself, the boss is so rude, why do I keep coming here? Typically if I patron a place, I like to give my money to local businesses and local business owners. But there are other places where the owner is much more friendly and deserves your business. Environment is fine and food is fine. But this isn’t the only phở in town, so I’d suggest go to a different one.

Honestly I’m so upset with myself for barely remembering to write this review when all I was rambling about was, «Yelpers complain too much the owner is fucking awesome.» Haha With that being said you can already expect my review to be nothing but greatness towards the old man(owner) and his efficient staff running this business. A majority of the reviews talk about him being inattentive and rude, but everytime I come in with Matt not only does he spend a few minutes cracking jokes with us, he makes everything swiftly and speedy. Does he possibly show a lil favoritism bc matts Asian? Maybe, but I tell myself it’s bc of me and my greatness *flips hair The owner already knows our order: Number 1 extra large Number 2 extra large 2 waters 4 spring rolls And extra sides for our Phở Yet he’ll bring us a menu, let us open it and then proceed to writing what we want without needing to ask I MEANHELLOWHODOESNTAPPRECIATEBEINGKNOWNSOWELL? Anyways back to the food *drools THEBROTHISDELICIOUS! there’s literally like NOOO oil/grease bubbles, all you can taste is the yummy goodness that doesn’t honestly need the extra condiments or sides to taste good, but give it that necessary punch if you wana spice it up. The peanut sauce is delish! The spring rolls could be made with romaine lettuce to give it a better bite, but that’s just me being a picky lil Natt… The shrimp and pork oh and the mint? Are just beyond yummy! Honestly invest in coming here Yea it may look a lil sketch from the area But I’ve learned, usually, hole in the wall — family owned places tend to have the best food. And this place proves my point.

Food was great. I had the tofu phở and egg rolls. Although my order was to go the restaurant was clean and the service was fine… not good or bad… nothing special. Food was worthy of a return visit.

It was ok. Guess can’t really expect great phở place in Corona area. The phở was pretty average, I think is family own and the guy that placed my order was pretty nice. They also got a pretty good size TV with live ESPN basketball on at the time I was there.

Changed my mind about this place after having such poor service twice when ordering food to go. Just left here after phoning in my order in advance to once again have the owner confused to not knowing I placed an order(since a lady answers, I’m assuming whom works in the back). This time the owner gave me attitude instead of apologizing and said that he has a lot of orders so he doesn’t know. He was so rude with his tone of voice I couldn’t believe it. Mainly since his demeanor is so different when dining in. After 20 minutes from paying I finally received my to go food and it was placed in front of me without a «thank you, sorry for the wait… etc» nothing! Mind you that whomever I spoke to on the phone said to come in after 10 minutes and it would be ready. Bologna! I also asked for hot sauce and was handed 2 small packets in which I asked for more and the owner walked past me as if I was now a ghost and he didn’t hear me. Rude much?! My last time was very similar where I came in and the owner had no idea about my placed order. Just this time is when I received much attitude about it. I’m assuming he was frustrated from being so busy during lunch hour since its a holiday. But that was still a deal breaker, and I won’t be back! Buh byeee! On to another phở spot here in Riversideeee!

I haven’t been here in years. But tonight was perfect. What is wrong with me? How could I have forgotten? The spring rolls wrapped in lettuce and mint were delicious and crispy. And the dipping sauce, sweet yet lemony-fishy. I want more! #31, phở with(5) plump wontons and slices of bbq’d pork. The broth and platter of sprouts were top notch. Plenty to bring home. #64, filet minion tips sautéed, served over rice, were so yummy and tender. I will have a hard time ordering anything different in the future. And as an extra surprise, it came with a bowl of clear broth with a subtle flavor of 5 star anise. Filled my tummy and was very satisfying. I cleaned my plate, nothing for tomorrow’s lunch snack. Darn. And then there was the iced coffee. Dark, strong, sweetened with condensed milk. Gives me goose bumps it was so good. Or was that the caffeine? The final straw? The sweet bean mix and jelly topped with sweetened coconut milk and ice chips. Ahhhhh. A wonderful finish. The prices were really good, everything was so fresh, and the food came out quickly. My filet dish set me back about $ 8. The phở was in the $ 6 range. A wonderful meal that can’t be beat for the price. An added benefit for me is its proximity to the Riverside Kaiser Hospital where my son is recovering. So if you are looking for good, cheap, healthy, close, and quick, this is a great choice.
