Wienerschnitzel

I was looking forward to downing a good hot dog here at one of the original A-​shaped Wienerschnitzels, where where is no inside seating. But this was not to be.
When my lunch order was ready, my Kraut Dog was undercooked and barely warm, with little mustard and sauerkraut inside the bun, and my Polish Sandwich was lukewarm with half-​melted cheese. Diane also pronounced her Corn Dogs to be both undercooked and lukewarm. My ordered bottle of water was forgotten, and the order taker was one of the most surly and unfriendly I have encountered. I thanked him for handing over the food, but he never thanked me for being a customer.
To add insult to injury, a sudden brisk Santa Ana wind blew a paper spread with ketchup for French Fry dipping into the air and then on top of a windbreaker jacket the sheriff had given me years ago as a Christmas present for being a member of his Executive Staff. It was one of my favorite jackets, and now it was covered with patches of red tomato ketchup inside and out.
To Diane’s credit, she successfully washed all of the ketchup stains out of the jacket that night, and the Fries were hot and tasted very good. Diane also liked her Chocolate Shake, and I received a bottle of water on the second try.
Just 2−½ stars overall!

I Like Wienerschnitzel. I like the food. It’s good to me. The manager is always in a rush. Susana was my drive thru cashier and she was so annoyed. No customer service. Period
NO WiFi…

The people who work here are horrible. They’re the reason people stereotype workers in the fast food industry. Lazy people. I ordered our food, it was cold, but we were in the drive thru, so didn’t check until we got home, 3 blocks from the restaurant. I ordered the «new» Triple Cheddar Double Bacon Chili Cheese Fries and not only were they cold, but they were topped with two slices of coagulated cold slices of SANDWICH type cheese, old bacon and a ton of grease. I asked for the chili on the side and they tried to charge me for that, which I argued because the chili COMES ON the «chili cheese fries» so technically I’m already paying for it, but I wanted it on the side. The worst part is English is none of their first language so translating that I wanted the chili on the side fell on uneducated ears. Just ridiculous. Can’t wait till Sonics is built. I’ll have to wait till then to have my chili cheese fries cravings filled.

Ate here often until I started watching them handle food. They touch the I’ce cream cones with their bare hands after handling money. Even saw them put the ice cream cone on the counter. Don’t think I’ll be going there much. Makes me wonder what else they do.

After running errands in Riverside Plaza (See’s and Trader Joe’s) I was getting really hungry. I didn’t want to go out of my way (on the way home) and I didn’t want to get out of my car! Yup – totally lazy!
I had to drive right past Wienerschnitzel on the way shopping and decided to check it out (for a crowd) on my way home. Having already made the decision if there was one car out in the street (if there are 2 in the drive thru at the speaker-​the 3^rd is in the STREET) I would not stop.
Came around the corner –one car at the speaker. I pulled in, off the street.
This building has been here since the beginning of man. It’s old and rickety and the speaker has never in memory-​ever worked. so order and take your chances!
Break down and once in a while have a nasty old hot dog! I had a Chicago Dog (I am a bit of a purist, plus I don’t want a big sloppy mess in the car) and a root beer. Hit the spot!

First time at a Weinerchnitzel… I’d like to give a higher rating but, some things rubbed me the wrong way.
1. Ordering problems, there is something wrong with the speaker. I had to yell my order to her about 4 times. Funny thing, I could see her standing about 15 feet from me cause the door was open.
2. They should really close the storage room door, it’s right on the opposite side of the pick-​up window and it sure needs to be cleaned.
3. Bunch of teens cooking your food as they joke around makes you feel uneasy about your food.
4. We had to wait close to 10 minutes for the truck in front of us to get their food, if it’s gonna take awhile, have them wait in the parking lot.
I know, bad review BUT, the reason for the 3 stars is… the bacon wrapped street dogs are the bomb!!! Awesome! If they take care of 1 – 4, I’d gladly give them the full 5 stars.
The bacon was crispy, the onions were grilled just right and they tasted amazing.

This is my favorite place to eat hands down. Foods always hot and delicious. Everytime.
