Average Chinese food here, nothing to get excited about. The place is dirty, but the service is fast. I only come here because it’s convenient to where I live, do not make a special trip to come for the food.

Your standard Chinese take away with all the standard items. A little inconsistent. Always used to stop and get the fried wontons with my dad, even when we’re having dinner somewhere else. Pricing is normal for the fare.

I’ve been coming here for what seems like my whole short life. Three words you need to know: general tso’s chicken. No other place in Roanoke makes it like they do at great wall. At most places the sauce is a grossly sweet dark brown sauce-yuck-I just do not like it. But here it is closer to red/orange and is spicy! I absolutely love it. I also usually ask them to give me some of their homemade hot sauce on the side– it’s so yummy. As I now go to school in Raleigh, I have yet to find a place that can match the delicious level of the general’s chicken that they make here. So sad. but at least I can look forward to returning every time I come home to the star city.

Every Chinese restaurant gives you a good size cup full of sweet and sour sauce when you order fried wonton, here you have to pay fifty cents per little cup big enough for two wontons. What a waste.

Awesome food at a great price and the only Chinese restaurant offering my beloved fried crab sticks. Friendly staff and just all around good.

It’s cheap, it’s quick, it’s decent. Not the best Chinese takeout… but not the worst either. I tried the beef with broccoli and thought it was ok. I watched a guy come in and order a lunch special. He had his food in almost a minute. That’s crazy quick.

I’ve been coming to Great Wall for years and have recently fallen in love again. Apparently they can sell anything on the menu with tofu without much fuss or hubbub; For a vegetarian in a small city, this info is magical! Go to Great Wall! Yum! Only size and amount of table space make it not a 5-star establishment:)

This is a great little hole-in-the-wall Chinese food take out restaurant in the lower level of Towers, right next to Subway. There are a few tables and chairs, but one had a nice hand printed sign on it that said«broken» so maybe take out is the way to go. I went on Saturday and ordered Sesame Chicken Lunch Special and they zipped it up in about 5 minutes, soup and rice included, and with water it came to a little over $ 5.00, with taxes. You can’t BEAT that, folks! Super cheap, and oh, my goodness… delicious. Perhaps it was a bit on the sweet side and I didn’t care for the broccoli(but who knows why? Only 3 pieces in my dish), but I have had other dishes here that just rocked. I may not get the Sesame Chicken again, but I am definitely coming back. Amazing prices, super fast and nice service, and a ton of food.
