Gave these guys another try on pad thai. NODICE. It was chicken curry(and not good curry) with over-cooked rice noodles and peanuts sprinkled on top.

Hong Kong is one of the only places where you can get Chinese food in Downtown Roanoke, but it really isn’t worth the time or convenience if you’re downtown. The lunch special is cheap, but the quality is lacking. I’ve also tried some of the noodle and soup dishes and neither was worth ordering again. All the food seems overly greasy and anything in the lunch special section rarely tastes fresh. Downtown Roanoke has plenty of other options for international food that are much better, including many that are located inside the Market Building. And if you want Chinese, I suggest finding it elsewhere.

The only good thing about this place is their cheap lunch special price. The food was not that flavorful and the veggie egg rolls tasted horrible. The rice tasted like it was left over from the day before and the general tso chicken wasn’t even spicey. There are plenty of other places to eat in the market building that are a lot better. Steer clear of this one!
