A diversity of good things. 4.5 stars. We stopped at the Brambleton deli seeking some respite from a weekend of eating barbecue. They have a wide variety of selections on the menu that all look good, including pizza, classic deli sandwiches, soups and salads. After all that though, I ended up getting a barbecue sandwich! And I am so glad I did. It was a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with succulent pulled pork. Fantastic! The sweet tea was good here too. My friend got a Ruben, and as one who appreciates true deli sandwiches, said it was great. The service was good, despite what previous reviews had suggested, and we enjoyed outdoor seating on the patio. They also have a thriving sports bar venue inside, as well as a dining area that accommodates a more family-style meal. A reliable place to eat, the food has been good every time we have stopped here.

I’ve had the chicken parm and the cheesy western both of which were excellent. The bread is perfectly toasted however they cook the meat a little more than I asked. My friends had the Asian salad which was adequately seasoned however the grilled chicken garden salad was under seasoned. It’s a great place to watch games. The service is great and it’s really nice to sit out on the patio when it’s nice out. Great for large groups as well.

Something has happened this is not the same deli management must have changed. Ordered take out had to wait an additional 20 minutes on top of the first 20. Order was wrong when we got home asked for plain burgers they can fully loaded. No marinara sauce with the cheese sticks, did not get brew fries as requested and bread on French dip was burnt. We enjoy coming here but it will take a lot of proof things have improved before we come back. This is all controlled by humans with good listening skills and a desire to make sure you get what you pay for. Guess I got what they thought I was supposed to get. Poor service is unacceptable in the food business.

This guy has changed a lot… Reduced the size of his half subs and eliminated half size salads. Food is great, but really. he just got greedy. I’m sure he will always have a full following. his bar area stays active. Watch out for local police. Can’t figure out why they don’t just park outside and get busy. Outdoor seating is pretty cozy… a little too close to others.

The service has really gone down the past couple of times we have visited. Today’s was particularly rotten on the service front. The server never so much as gave either of us a smile, forgot our appetizer, husband had completed his first beer by the time I got my cocktail. Asked if I would like another drink when I was about half done with the first one. I said«not right now». The next time the server came by she said«check?». We just said yes and got out of there. Actually, we were going to order another drink and the appetizer that had been forgotten. Instead, we paid our bill and went elsewhere to finish our date. I doubt if we will return here for a long while.

Recently rediscovered The Brambleton Deli, Italian sub was probably the best in my memory, Hector was our server, did a great job and just the right amount of attention giving us plenty of space and time to visit with my party.

Food has always been OK. Tonight we went to see The Kings as we know one of the band members. There was a shortage of seats and the process to wait for a seat was… well interesting. Interesting that are mixed race party had to wait longer than any other group to get a table. Coincidence?

This place is usually not on my list of places to go in Roanoke to eat, but my daughter had a game nearby and we needed a place for our picky kids. This was perfect for them and a pleasant surprise for us. Hector was our server and he was so helpful and friendly! I went with the Philly Cheese Steak and hubby had the Brambleton Special. The cheese steak was good, but my husband said that was the best sandwich he ever had. The kids had dessert — hot fudge cake and Snickers pie. Neither were overly sweet and Hector brought extra plates with whipped cream. Also a pleasant surprise is that kids eat free on Tuesdays! Excellent and will be back.

We stopped in here after a long drive to kill some time before checking into the hotel. The layout is pretty nice, a good outdoor patio, long bar, small stage for live music. The staff were also very friendly. The food was great too. We got the deli fries as a starter. These were crinkle cut fries with onions, peppers, melted cheddar cheese topped with some spice I think cayenne pepper. I got the blt which was crazy good. The blt had the perfect amount of lettuce tomato and bacon– there was at least a half pound of perfectly cooked bacon on there. My girlfriend got the carribian chicken sandwich which in comparison to my blt was just alright not too bad but not outstanding. If your in the area and want some good food definitely stop here and try it out.

I am from out of town, San Antonio, TX to be exact. I love this place and every time we come to Roanoke to visit family, we always drop by! The deli is literally been here for years and my parents remember going here when they were younger. I have gotten the nachos before and contrary to some, I loved them. They have their own way of making them and they are delicious! I love deli sandwiches too so this place is a double hit in my book. I am pretty lame when it comes to food but I always get the Turkey Club. Simple but still very appetizing. I usually do not get chips and will substitute in fries for an extra charge. I find this meal really filling and never get dessert because of it. My party usually gets alcohol, beer or wine, and that seems to work with them. No complaints on that end. I have also heard that their sweet tea is amazing! To me this looks like a good hang out spot for most and there is always people there when we go. Other than the normal restaurant seating, there is a bar section with booths against the wall if you’d rather sit in there. The lunch crowd is pretty thin but even at dinner, we have never had to wait. Sometimes we have larger parties and we always get sat/served in a timely manner. Customer service is great in my opinion and the waitresses seem to be attentive overall. Food is really quick, so there isn’t even a need to get appetizers sometimes because of how fast it is! In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this deli and think for the price you get what you should. Like I said before, we always eat here more than once when we visit so that obviously means something too. My rating system– 5: Amazing! I would definitely recommend to anyone. I will come back again and again! 4: This place is pretty great in my book. I will be back. It is better than just average. 3: This place is okay, average. I might come back, especially if I am in the area. 2: This place just does not hit the mark for me. Probably will not come back, unless invited or majority of my party wants to. 1: I will not come back here ever. You could not force me inside of this place. Too mediocre.

We ended up here because I read it was one of the best places in Roanoke to «catch the game.» There is apparently a bar side of the restaurant that I didn’t see, so maybe that is what this magazine was referring to. While I could see a TV from where I was, I wouldn’t call this a sports bar. My wife and I both got burgers with a basket of fries. Both were pretty good. I have no real problems with Brambleton Deli and will probably be back eventually, but there are better burgers and better places to watch a game in Roanoke.

Great atmosphere. Nice bar. Love the Philly cheesesteak and French Onion Soup. When we are in town we always come here. Unilocal Star Rating 5 stars: I loved it. Will be back and bring others to try it. 4 stars: I liked it. Will be back and suggest others to give it a try. 3 stars: It was good. Will be back but there was something that wasn’t just right. 2 stars: It was okay. Would return if others wanted to but won’t drive far. 1 star: Will not be returning.

Yum! If Deli fries are wrong, I don’t wanna be right! Dip those babies in some ranch and you may question if you’ve somehow landed in heaven. I really like their barbecue too. And their Southern Fried Chicken Salad with honey mustard dressing! So good.

Typical bar fare here with burgers, nachos, eh salads, and fries — you get the picture. Great place to bring a group to, especially if B dubs is way too packed and the Skins game is on! Never seen it too crowded and staff provide enough service that you get your food and drink! Pitchers are the money here so if you head to the deli make sure you pick up some of these big glass containers of golden goodness.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Its almost always full of people and they have a great menu. You can go wrong with a sandwich! Items to stay away from terrible breaded wings and cheap mozzarella sticks.

The Deli has gone pretty down-hill. A lot of things that they used to make in-house are no longer done that way. Their chicken salad is pretty good, I also like their Italian Sub. Don’t get the roast beef sandwich… it tastes like 99 cent roast beef from a grocery store. The staff is not the best. They can be really slow at times. The outside area is nice. This is like a «last choice, can’t think of anywhere else to go» type places. If you want a good sandwich, go to Macados.

Great food with a lot of variety on the menu, decent prices for pitchers of beer. Good place to meet up with groups and have some food and beer while watching a game.

I’d almost like to keep this one a secret… It’s one of those places that you go to that you are so comfortable in, has good food no matter what you order, great prices and nobody complains when there is hockey on the big screen. Been there twice so far and we’ll keep going back. It’s our new neighborhood hangout. Service can be a bit slow at times but the food makes up for it. Prices are great, portions are wonderful and everyone is always friendly.

I wanted to like this place. Some friends and I are looking for a new hangout where we can get some food and watch football. I was hoping that this could be the place. But as you can see from my star rating, I wasn’t too happy. I tried the nachos and these had to be one of the worst versions of nachos I’ve ever had. The cheese didn’t taste very good and the chips were way too thick. Also, salsa and sour cream were served on the side in plastic cups. Not sure why they did that. I also tried their version of the cheesy western. Hands down, the version at Texas Tavern is cheaper and better. The appeal here appears to be cheap alcohol. That’s pretty much the only reason I can come up with. For whatever reason, some(not all) of the staff appeared to have an attitude problem. One of my group members wanted to watch a particular college game and the bar staff made such a ridiculous issue about it. The service wasn’t all that great either. Our server started off strong but then became increasingly surly and just an overall jerk. Overall impression thus far: decent drinks, mediocre food, spotty service. I might give them another try when I’m not so pissed off.
