Best lobster and oysters I’ve ever had! I don’t always like lobster but it was so fresh and yummy! I couldn’t stop eating it! The hubby and I always eat blue point oysters and these were amazing!!! It’s also a great spot to walk around and visit little shops also! Love this place! Would definitely come back!

Was nervous when I ordered a lobster roll and they just reached inside of a glass cooler to the side and gave me one of the many that were lined up. I realized soon after that this is probably because they get so many orders for lobster rolls that they have to just keep making and lining them up. I have to believe that out of all of the rolls I’ve had this trip, this one was the best. It was so deceptively basic, and lacking any extra stuff. Maybe a touch of mayo was there, if that. I ate the whole thing in maybe 5 bites, and was very sad that I didn’t take my time with it. So good.

Fresh fresh lobstah! We got 3 lobsters at a really good price, lobster roll, clam chowder and a bottle of white wine. Everything was delicious. If we go back to Rockport, there is no doubt we’ll go there again.

This place is legendary and for good reason: the food is amazing. Add on incredible atmosphere on the back deck, an above and beyond crew working there and a divey, real deal crab shack vibe inside and you have my ideal vacation haunt. The guys were super cool, joking with us and remembering me the next day(yes we went two days in a row) as the«guy whose kid we know is his» because it’s true: my son and I are pretty much twins. Only thing missing is some ice cold beer(cue the Iron Sheik) but that is what is missing from Rockport in general. They said it is byob and that would have been nice to know before hand. An ice tea with oysters and lobster is just not the same as a Coors Light or Bud Heavy.

Disappointing lobster roll — rolls were pre made and kept in a cooler. The bun was cold and there was not much flavor in the lobster salad. Everyone I was with ordered the roll and we were all disappointed. The smoked salmon and chowder were both very good though and a great price(4 – 5 $). I’d go for these and maybe the whole lobster over the rolls.

This is all you need in a top class lobster joint. Fresh lobster, cooking pot, tables. No frills not airs and graces just superb quality and price. The staff are awesome, super happy and efficient. The lines move fast and the deal with phone orders too. At $ 35 for 311/3lbs lobsters it’s an amazing price too. There’s a place nearby charging $ 38 for a 1.5lbs single lobster. There also lobster rolls, clam chowder, stuffed clams and smoked salmon. All at really good prices considering this is Rockport. I love the deck out back. I’ve been here 3 times in a month and had wonderful conversations each time. Don’t just sit and eat share the experience. I got at great tips on eating the lobster legs and had someone share beers with the whole table on another occasion. If you’re there first sit by the water and invite others to join you in celebrating these wonderful crustacean. If you are really hungry they’ll do 5 for $ 55. Yep been there done the last two times!

I don’t even know where to begin with the utter lack of professionalism the owner of this restaurant had when we called to explain what happened after dining for lunch yesterday. My mother and I have visited Roy Moore’s every time we come to Rockport upon her visits from Florida and yesterday my mother paid with a $ 100 bill and was returned incorrect change that was $ 20 short. We called to explain this to the owner that we are already back in Boston and my mother is returning to Florida and the owner proceeded to blame us for the mishap and stated there was nothing she could do. This utter lack of compassion and professionalism is disgusting and frankly shocking, how hard is it to make it right for your customer your lifeblood by offering even a simple restaurant credit? Sorry Roy Moore but I will take my business elsewhere from now on. I encourage others too also as this operation is rude and lacks basic concepts of service and professionalism!

The best lobster roll and clam chowder! This was our lunch spot on a recent day trip from Boston and it did not disappoint. The food is the best around and is so fresh, you can see them dragging in the lobster crates. Our toddler loved the clam chowder and watching all the lobsters being brought in. The owners and staff were very friendly and even brought some oyster crackers out to our girls to let them snack while we waited for our food. Then they even asked us to take some«just in case» for on the road which was such a sweet gesture! The seating is in back after walking through the main area, which wasn’t clear at first, but was a fun adventure for the kids. No high chairs or anything as it’s a very small eating area.

Best. Best. Best. There are not words efficient enough to express my love for this place. 1) the lobster is fresh and priced daily. This is incredibly rare and fair. Prices are not jacked up like other lobster options(lobster pool, woodmans, etc). At current lobsters are $ 13 for 1, $ 35 for 3. Lobsters average 11⁄3 pounds. 2) the vibe is great. Byob. Family run. Casual(the BEST atmosphere to eat messy greatness). This is my favorite place on the planet. The guys that work there are awesome and so are the other food options on the menu(giant baked clams, chowder).

Stopped in on a beautiful Sunday with my friends around 1pm — somehow it wasn’t a crazy line out the door(the week before we were also in Rockport and saw a crazy long line). They have a small menu, but it’s got all the staples. Bottom-line: pretty good food for a really good price. You stand in line in their tiny place — mostly lobster tanks. Next to the counter is the pre-made food. Warm stuff(fish cakes) is warmed up in a microwave. They’re pretty quick and efficient. Simple operation. Had a lobster roll(pretty typical — not crazy loaded with mayo, lots of lobster meat) — came with a bag of Lays. Had a stuffed clam was quite good — had a nice spice/bite to it, which was nice. Smoked salmon was quite good as well — big chunks. Fish cakes — two normal sized, came with a good sauce. Also pretty good, nice little spice/bite. Overall, food was all pretty good, but for the price — 4 stars.

A lobster roll that hits the spot… As you walk down Bearskin Neck, it’s kind of hard not to start getting a craving for some lobster. The subliminal and not-so-subliminal messages are abundant. By the time you arrive at Roy Moore Lobster, you very well could be drooling at the mouth. Such was the case for us. After talking our little one for her first tour of the Rockport, we were exhausted, hungry, and the idea of a lobster roll was just about the only think keeping us going. A simple lobster shack, you walk up to the register and order. They have just a few things to order: lobster rolls, boiled lobsters, oysters, clams, etc. We went lobster roll. Served on a fluffy roll, the lobster meat was abundant, tossed lightly in mayo, and garnished with lettuce and a bag of chips. The lobster meat was sweet and perfectly chewy. If you’re looking for a simple lobster roll that is delicious, this is your jam. Prices are quite reasonable.

Really small shack on the main street of Rockport. They have some seating in the back but it seems like it gets pretty crowded. The portions are kind of small(the lobster rolls look tiny!) but are absolutely delicious. The rolls are filled with flaky pieces of solid lobster which isn’t overwhelmed by mayo and come with a bag of chips. I didn’t particularly care for the smoked salmon that everyone seems to love, but I did really like the steamed whole lobsters. The real star of the show was the clam chowder, which was a welcome treat on the cold day that we went. Service is extremely speedy and its mostly self serve when it comes to utensils and other eating miscellanea. Definitely some really delicious lobster, but we were all still hungry afterwards. A pricey, but awesome, treat.

THEHYPEISREAL — — — — — — — – The freshest and best seafood I have ever had. This place is no frills with super friendly and quick staff. Grab your food on a tray and take a seat on one of the docks overlooking the water. It’s a beautiful view with great food! WHATTOORDER: + Lobsters, boiled and cracked($ 15 each, or 3 for $ 40) + Oysters($ 2 each) + Smoked salmon($ 4) + Fried clams($ 1.50) Almost everything is made to order, which blows my mind. They shuck the oysters once the order is put in and the lobsters are all cooked fresh in front of customers. I honestly am not the biggest fan of lobster just because I don’t like when there is anything added to it(ie lobster rolls). But this was unlike any lobster I have ever had, and definitely on the cheaper side! My friends had two lobsters each. That’s just how good it is. The smoked salmon and fried clams were already prepared beforehand, but this did not affect the standard of quality.

After a beautiful day at the beach, all I wanted was some fish and chips; Roy Moores delivered 100%! The fried haddock was flaky and melt in your mouth delicious with a hint of lemon on top and a tartare sauce that complimented the taste of the fish well. The only qualm I had with the meal was I felt the French fries were a bit bland but on the whole for what I wanted, it was superfluous. The staff was pleasant and prompt, refilling our drinks before we had to ask, quickly bringing our food and just creating an enjoyable experience. To top it off we had a beautiful view next to the windows sitting in a quiet area of the restaurant. Can’t wait to be back!

You might hear much about the lobsters, fresh boiled, cracked and offered on a paper platter for a song. And this tale is true. Or the lobster roll, a chick’s worth of meat under a veneer of mayo atop a leaf of lettuce on a split top hot dog bun. If you like then you should’ve put some Lay’s on it(oh, they did), and charged a cool 1,500 pennies for it. A simple, solid offering although the lobster was cooked to toughness. Still, this tale is true. Or you might hear of stuffies. Of shrimp cocktail. Of awltheseafood. True, true, and true. The real star, and what you might not be aware of, is the smoked chunk salmon with dill horseradish dip. Four clams gets you a snack portion of absolutely scrumptious smoked fish that’ll have your hipster sensibility telling onlooking tourists, «Motif #1 and lobster rolls are out. Smoked fish and The Paper House are next level.» And this, young trendsetter, is yet another true tale.

Great food and great prices! There was a line there so be prepared to wait and no space to sit on the pouch but you can hang out on the dock and eat. If you’re in the area and like seafood, this is a must visit!

John and James were the staff that greeted us on the rainy fall day we arrived. These guys were super friendly and helped recommend a few items from their small menu. While this is a no frills seafood joint it was stellar. The lobster tank was clean and filled with fresh lobster. The prices are also exceptionally reasonable. Outdoor seating only. Fish Cakes — If you like crab cakes you will most likely like these Stuffed Clams — It’s like clam stuffing in a shell. Who doesn’t like stuffing?! Fresh Boiled(and cracked) Lobster — They give you the lobster already cracked after they boil it fresh. Super tasty and very easy to eat. I didn’t even need a bib.

Fresh boiled lobsters… nothing fancy, but it doesn’t have to be when they are bringing the lobsters right off the boat while you are sitting there. Seriously. They are that fresh!!! Magnificent. We also tried the lobster roll. Top notch!!! Can’t say enough wonderful-ness about Roy Moore’s Lobster. The only negative thing… trying to find a place to park in Rockport.
