Tried a number of these places, but our Rockwall version beats them all! Great food! Great Service! I love the sirloin and the Chicken Fried Steak! Good eats folks!

The busyness of this place is crazy, it’s always busy but they always get you seated in a good amount time and the food is okay that’s what got them only 4 stars.
The atmosphere here is bad it’s loud sometimes smells.

This place is awsome! We had catfish and meatloaf it was delicious! I’m from England and it’s my first time visiting texas the waitress Cristina was great and the manager tara was wonderful they bought us desert too! Would recommend this place to anyone the food and staff are 5 stars!

This is a great place for chicken fried everything… and OMG the big plump dinner rolls they put on the table are probably illegal they’re so good. Love this place!

My daughter and went for lunch. Before walking in the door the host was acting kinda weird he kept opening and closing the door. I thought he would open for us but he didnt. He kept giggling. Strange. He sat us by the worst seat in the place there was a cold draft. So we were gonna ask to move but the waitress was in such a rush. She was rude I don’t get why waiters act like we have to tip if they are rude. I usually always tip even if we have bad service though. I don’t wanna be hateful like they can be. I loved the fried green tomatoes. And I think they are over priced for a lunch portion guess cause they give you bread. Which I didnt really like they don’t have much flavor. The chicken fried chicken was ok and the mashed potatos were ok. Broccoli wasn’t good. I gave her 100.00 bill. She was so mad and took forever to come back. We’ve been to almost every place on Rockwall to try new places out. We won’t be coming back it’s not my cup of tea.

Awesome portions, awesome price, and awesome service! My son loves it too so that means it’s good stuff! We will be back :) love the friendliness and prompt service l!

Fantastic service both times I’ve been here and the food was always quick and phenomenal. Very good menu and seasonal additions– will definitely be back here soon.

Ok my wife and come in with two sleeping babies in car seats, the hostess had clue what was going on as far where to seat us. On the way to the table a waiter not looking at all and me saying watch out almost knocks my 9 month old out of my hand. When I say something to him he just walks off then turns and ask if I had a problem when he was almost on the other side of restaurant. When we do get to our table the clueless hostess then proceeds to tell us we can not put our twins in the high seats. When my wife ask why she then states she has to get permission from the manager! REALLY! So my wife just ask if we can get a booth and slide them in. Now that we’re are at the booth we wait for EVER to get any type of service.
We finally get to order my wife and I both get the chicken fried steak. Boy was that mistake it should have been called children fried shoe leather. Not mention the AC was not on and it was hot. We will not be back and will not recommend this place to any of our friends.

Nothing to write home about. ALL of the food was served WAY TOO HOT, from the rolls served before my entrée all the way to the desert. By the time the peach cobbler had cooled enough to not burn my mouth, the ice cream it was served with had all melted.

After being seated we sat for total of 5 mins. No one came to ask us anything. Two other tables sat. One in front of us and one behind us. Both had orders taken and drinks. We decided to leave. I know why the parking lot was empty.

Well the waitress was very efficient and nice. The chicken fried steak was a little chewy and was overly breaded. I think the mashed potatoes were not from a box but we’re not light or fluffy. The green beans were from a can. I really wanted to like this place but I think they need to try harder. The bread was good but I wasn’t sure I could get more.

Everything about this place is mediocre at best. Server was inattentive and food was brought out lukewarm. Taste? Nothing worth noting. My wife thought her pilaf probably came out of a box. There’s enough other good restaurants in the area that there’s no need to come back here.

My family visited Cotton Patch Café last weekend. We always loved this restaurant. We had not been there in the last 6 months. First we noticed they were not crowded at all on a Sunday at noon. They used to be packed. Found out they have been under new ownership for the last 2 years. Menu has changed. No wedge salad, banana pudding or coconut pie. The chicken fried steak was tough as a boot and very chewy. Pork chops were very dry. They still serve cobblers but they are undercooked. Peaches were al dente and the berries crust was raw dough. Also, my husband had dirty silverware and asked twice for a change but never received any. He had to get up and get his own from the hostess basket. We probably wont be back for another 6 months to a year, maybe not ever. How sad a great place has changed so much!

Food is good but they take forever to take your order! Other than that, no complaints.

Had dinner last night and it was great. Service was great from the beginning. Server brought me some rolls. Ordered the chips and queso and it was fresh. I had the Cajun duo. It was very tasty. The grilled shrimp was perfectly cooked.

I love the grilled chicken Cobb Salad at Cotton Patch. I was not disappointed! The biggest salad I have ever seen — lots of food. You will not go away hungry!
The place was full & busy. The one guy asked me if I preferred a table or booth. I said a booth or a table off to the side would be great. Then a gal came and took me to a table in the middle. I decided not to say anything since it was a busy time.
I ordered my food. About that time the gal who seated me must have been told by the guy that I wanted to be off to the side. Ar least she came by and asked if I would prefer to have table off to the side. I said yes and she moved me to a small table off to the side!
The food was delivered in 10 min or less! This place has their act together!

Stopped in for an early dinner. Grilled chicken with a salad. Outstanding! The salad is fresh and tasty.

I picked it up for dinner and we were disappointed. There was so much pepper on my wife and our son’s dinner they could not enjoy it. Highly disappointed. The young man who took our order was very friendly.

If you like comfort food or love fried food, this is the place! The waitresses are friendly and generous with the rolls & cornbread. They even pack up a huge sack for you to take home. Check their website before you go. There’s almost always a coupon for ‘buy one entrée, get one free” or «free dessert» You won’t leave hungry if you order the chicken fried steak– it’s MASSIVE.
