The parking at the harbor is a pain depending on the day and time but that is not the restaurants fault. The food is hit or miss depending on what you order. I had the blackened chicken po boy and it was bland. The regular gumbo is bland, the seafood gumbo was much better. The hush puppies and cheese grits are great. Fried pickles are greasy and leave a lot to be desired. Fried green tomatoes are something we order every time. Mac and cheese with sausage and shrimp is a fav. I always get the peel and eat shrimp. The service is always kinda bad. If varies from decent to horrid. If they can get their service down they will be good. the restaurant itself has more out door seating than indoor.

I ate here this weekend and had a mixed experience. The manager is pleasant and accommodating and I made a promise to revisit before making any determination on the food. Rainy, slow night could have been the culprit. Stay tuned…

Love this place. Has great food and the view is amazing. There tilapia is amazing with the shrimp sauce they put one it. And they have crablegs!!! Can’t wait for crawfish season to start.

The only reason I would come here is for the view. Great location. Parking can get limited. Has good happy hour for drinks, but we missed it.
Food: crab cakes were delicious. Seafood Gumbo was very salty. I wish they had potato salad or regular cole slaw to add in. The gumbo became overwhelming and I only got a cup size. Jambalaya… It was okay. I didn’t like it too much.
The service was fine. Our waitress came by often. Three stars just because it was just okay. Not a restaurant I would go back to. Maybe just for the drinks during happy hour. Prices are a bit high. View of the lake is very beautiful. So always sit outside if you can.

Took a really long time before we got service we just sat there and waited for somebody to help us for like 10 minutes finally The busboy asked us if we wanted something to drink. Red beans and rice or is not that good gumbo was OK jambalaya was good hush puppies were cold and overall temperature of the foods at Time of being served was not oven hot. Just OK but for the location of food should be way better

Went here for lunch after church and it was fantastic. Great happy hour and brunch menu at that time. Everyone there was very friendly and on point. We ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell… omg delicious! We also got fried calamari and a shrimp po boy that were good, but hard to compare to those oysters. Next time I’m trying the grilled oysters! The happy hour drinks were awesome and cheap. Sometimes they cheap out on the alcohol during happy hours, but these were great! Will definitely be coming back.

Food was ok… the service was not the best. Our waitress was happy to talk to everyone and not paying attention to us we waited over 10 minutes to order our food… the restaurant view was great! Sorry but I probably will not come again…

Loud music, TV’s everywhere, girls scantily clad and more over, terrible food… not Cajun food at all. The queso was Velveeta for example. I did call them and spoke to management who said they were working on it. So, hope to see something good in the future. Until that time, I would avoid.

I can’t comment on the food, because I only went for happy hour. Drinks were good and cheap, bar staff was friendly, and the location is great. I was killing time before the concert on the lake, and that worked out great for me. Based on the reviews I probably won’t eat there, but for happy hour only, it was fine.

Long wait, its ok. margarita not so good. Screwdriver is good. Bowl of crab claws small but good, blackened mahi good. Oysters not good I think they were frozen and stuck in a shell. The meat to oysters wasn’t attached to shell. Peel n eat shrimp ok
2 people this amount of for 83 $. Plus tip. Waitress ok. Nothing to go back 4 special.

If I could choose to put no stars I would. Sat there 30 mins and only got waters and plates. Complained to the manager and he didn’t even care. In fact, held the door for us when we said we were leaving.

The food is hit or miss. My husband and I started coming here when they had their grand opening. I alway ordered the oyster Po-boy and as long as I had them alter the batter it was good, otherwise the batter is very salty. The crab legs are usually very good. They are hot, spicy, and a good size! The pasta Monica was always my husband’s favorite, but is now greasy, and overcooked. The stuffed mushrooms are good, but small for the price. I’m giving a third star because they have the potential to do better!
The service has never been great, and has gotten worse with the new owners. The servers tend to stand around and visit and rarely have a sense of urgency. I would really like to see them do well because it’s the only Cajun place around here.

Food is not good and way way way over priced. Service is terrible, although the waitresses were nice. I don’t think it is their fault because it just seems they are not well trained or supported. The crawfish étouffée was NOT étouffée. Overall, we learned a valuable lesson by eating here: don’t ever eat here again.

Born and raised in NOLA. This place sucks. Waitress looked at me like I was speaking alien when I asked if they ever have beignets! Looks terrible. Terrible wait staff. Food is awful. Étouffée was not authentic by any means. Frozen crawfish tails. No taste on (barely) fried catfish. Did these people really come from N’Awlins. Crawfish Monica was tasteless and greasy as hell. I make it much better. Hush puppies were good though not authentic. Fries were good enough. Crawfish nachos was a disgrace to crawfish AND nachos! Tried other things but not worth the energy to mention and elaborate. Bottom line is this — don’t go there expecting to relive any food memories you may have of the best food city! It won’t happen here!

Five Stars for the view…1 Star for the Food and Waiter Competence. We went in for a small birthday celebration 7 people. The seating was quick because it was not busy, and now i know why.
We placed an order for one order of Oysters on the Half raw and one order of Fried Oysters. We received one order raw very small and some broiled oysters Rockefeller style. We mentioned to the waiter and she said oh I thought you said the other, never offered to replace.
Multiple received hot entrée but cold sides… Cold dirty rice is not appealing. One person ordered Grilled shrimp– was suppose to be 8 shrimp, they served me 4 large shrimp, i asked they said oh yea they are big so we only give you «4»…
We wasted no time on desert because of the experience during the meal. I agree with others Razzoos is way better, and red/beans in rice is better in a box than at Dodies.
Would be open to give it another shot if I was not paying… Lol.

Not good at all! Save your money and go eat somewhere else. I ordered gumbo and red beans and rice. The gumbo was burnt and the red beans and rice taste like they were from a can.
Do yourself a favor and skip this place.
Our waitress was nice, that’s all I can say.

Food is good, not great but certainly not as bad as some are mentioning in these reviews.
Not sure where all the negativity is coming from. Our service was great, food good and ambiance unique and fun.
