When I’m traveling for business I try to get into a BBQ restaurant because my wife really doesn’t care for it. The inside was very clean and the décor was cool. I ordered a 3 meat plate with 2 sides and an extra hot link. I was fairly excited about this place after checking out their website. But, I didn’t think the meat was that flavorful (I ended up putting more BBQ sauce on then I normally do). I had okra which was ok, but some of the pieces were hard. The pan of okra was nearly empty so I probably got the ones that had been sitting there for awhile. My second side was mac-​n-​cheese which was also ok. If it weren’t for the décor, atmosphere, and souvenir plastic cup (my wife loves large plastic cups), This would’ve been a 2 star…

Friendly staff and amazing BBQ! Frontier fries have an awesome BBQ ranch sauce. Good décor and free ice cream! Not too expensive-​approx $ 10 per person.

Stopped here to get some chopped beef. Was not impressed. The meat was greasy and had absolutely no flavor. You would expect it to have «some» smoke flavor. The bar-​b-​que sauce was good so I guess that hides the non-​flavor of the meat. I would hope the other locations are better.

Still looking for that Goode’s & Co. Flavor and quality. This is close but not there. Brisket was dry and cut thin. Ribs were pretty small but ok. Coleslaw and potato salad were tasty

Tried Soulman’s for the first time after driving by hundreds of times. The food was decent, turkey was moist and flavorful, ranch beans were great, mashed potatoes were tasty. Potato salad and Cole slaw were blah. To top it off they forgot the Texas toast and gravy for mashed potatoes which came with our family meal. Nothing worse than getting home with a to-​go meal to see that something major has been forgotten! Ugh!

This was the first time I had ever tried soulman s. They had a special going on where you got a sandwich and 2 sides w/​a drink for 7.99. Good deal! These deals don’t last forever though.
I am a red hot and blue bbq girl, but I am willing to try anything new :) the sandwich was good, not tough and had lots of meat on it. The sides were pretty decent to, lots to choose from.

Good food, bad value. The portions were too small for the price. I got a lot more meat for the same price in other local bbq places. Mine was take out.

Very polite staff. Casual atmosphere. Very clean restaurant/​bathrooms. BBQ and sides had good flavor. Will definitely come here again if in the area.
