Ordered orange chicken and a few other things for delivery and just giving the address was a serious test of patience. The orange chicken was so gross! It tasted/looked like someone had dumped a glass of water over it. It was bland and watered down, I took 1 bite and threw it away.

There’s nothing like tasty Chinese food after a long day of work. My family orders Chinese take out religiously. This place by far, is my favorite in food and service. Get the chow mein and china wok’ spicy wings! Omg soo good. Don’t be fool by the décor of this place. This little hole in the wall serve really tasty food. I ordered: –vegetable chow mein –China Wok’s spicy wings –spicy string beans –BBQ pork buns They were all really good. Especially the chow mein and spicy wings. Must order. I will definitely order again. My mouth is watering just thinking about it

My favorite little Chinese restaurant! We live all the way in Cloverdale and make our way down to this place a few times a year. Our favorite meals are the pepper prawns and sesame chicken. If your in the area looking for a great hole in the wall place you have found it. Never disappoints(:

Came in here after touring Sonoma State. It’s your standard family run business. Very good for the money. Good lunch menu and reasonable prices. Fast service too. Recommended.

They don’t even deserve to have s star!!! Chicken that they fried taste like old oil and the chicken was reheat and refry! I have never taste that kind of food in my life it’s beyond gross!!! This restaurant should be close in my opinion Paging Sonoma county Health department!!!

I immediately regret eating here. I am normally a clear my plate type eater, but my food was submerged in msg sauce and I left about 70% of the food before I just left. The rice was also the worst rice I have ever eaten. The lunch special seems like a bargain until you actually try the food!

It’s ok. Kung pao was fine. But the princess prawn batter had a funky after taste. I wouldn’t order that again.

This place has THEBESTPOTSTICKERS!!! Omg I’ve tried A LOT of places and this place by far has the best ones. Their won ton soup is super delicious too. I like everything I order from this place the rice is always good although they need to put more shrimp in the the shrimp fried rice. The chow-mien is delicious too, the noodles are tasty! I love this place, sometimes I go out of my way just to eat here! People who complain about this place seriously don’t know good Chinese food!

Food was good. Avg price. They use a lot of onion which I’m not a fan of. Egg foo young is like 60% onion!(Mixed in) Rice had onion(whatever, not a ton). And EVERY box was at least 60% large onion slices(used as filler so you got less meat/veggie!) I understand most boxes come with onion but 60% or more per box?! The lady is not too friendly.

While the food was very good, the wait for take out was 40 minutes when they quoted me 25. There was only one couple in the restaurant. That’s minus one star. The portions are the smallest Chinese food portions I’ve ever seen! We had no leftovers(that never happens) and we even left the table and went riffling through the fridge because we were still hungry! That’s minus 2 stars because the prices were comparable to every other Chinese food place around where you always get plenty of food. Too bad, the food really is tasty.

I have a soft spot for greasy spoon asian food. This is my go to place when I need a quick meal of chow mein with BBQ Pork. We came last night and had a few other things on the menu, the Salt and Pepper calamari is also a favorite, but last night it was a little cold, although the flavor and texture were right on. The chief commentator doesn’t love the sauce they put on the bok choy and chicken, and I agree it’s a little thick. Wonton Soup is full of veggies and lots of wontons. Appetizer platter is a fun item to try, and usually I don’t eat the cream cheese stuffed wontons, but theirs are fried to perfection. Quick, fast, and easy — YES. Gourmet — NO. But always friendly, and always ready when you pick it up for take out.

Unfortunately, I need to downgrade my rating of China Wok Restaurant 1 full star, because at least one of their dishes has MSG [monosodium glutamate] in it. I had ordered something that contained oyster sauce in it. Then, I had the burning ache in my stomach which I never had at this restaurant before. So, I asked the waitress if my dish had MSG in it. She seemed to know instantly that it in fact did! She also said it was a very tiny amount that was in their canned oyster sauce. She said that they do not add MSG themselves to any of their cooking, only this particular brand of sauce from a can was used in a few dishes. I informed her that I can no longer eat there and that the sauce with MSG in it has caused me pain because I am allergic to it. She apologized and told the cook/owner. What she did NOT do is offer to comp the $ 15 dollar dinner nor did she say that they would STOP using that sauce with the MSG in it. I had eaten there several dozen times in recent years and they knew me. It is a shame they do not know how to keep a customer with some carefully chosen words. Update 0008

Wasn’t too impressed with this place. Came here based on the good reviews but it did not live up to my hopes and dreams. My friend and I split crab rangoon, chow mien and the sweet and sour chicken. Crab Rangoon was a weird chunky consistency and the sweet and sour chicken was just not that great. Their hot tea also had an odd taste to it. Chow mien was good, however. But mid meal I got this nauseous feeling, like the food was making me sick. That was definitely random and unpleasant. Maybe we ordered their not so special dishes but I still thought it would be tastier. Alas, two stars. The woman serving us accidentally spilled sweet and sour sauce on my friend. That was actually kinda funny and probably the best part of the meal.

Okay, I’m not going to say this was the best nor the worst Chinese food I’ve had in the area. The important thing to me, is that they deliver. Ideally, I’d love a restaurant that is both grand with food and deliver, but hey not a perfect world! We ordered the general«safe» dishes. Hot and Sour Soup. Combination Chow Mein. Szechuan Beef. And Pork Mu Shu. We additionally made Orange Chicken and Rice at home for ourselves; mainly to cut some costs [rice is 1.50 per serving/person] and we had chicken in our fridge we had to use up. Read: Ask for chopsticks/hashi. I mean, come on? What is it with the Chinese restaurants in the area? None of them just provide chopsticks. It appears they are on demand only. Also if you like hot mustard, make sure to ask for that too! They gave us 2 packets of soy sauce and 3 fortune cookies with our order. So yes, specify number of people and how much soy sauce you additionally need. Oh and they also didn’t provide napkins. So in a nutshell, don’t take for granted what you would expect for delivery. Ask for it all! The hot and sour soup was the least appetizing of all the dishes. Even with our fancy home soy sauce it was still lackluster at best. The combination chow mein only had 2 peices of beef, 1 piece of chicken, and 1 piece of shrimp. So by the time it got round the table to me, I only got the noodle part. I was okay with this since what I really love is mu shu pork, so I supplimented meat that way. The Szechuan beef was a bit soupy, but tasty with a bit of broccoli and large slices of cabbage. The mu shu pork was good as it wasn’t overly laden with sauce like some places can be and what most of us liked most was that the cabbage was still crunchy. It came with one small container of the hoisin sauce which worked decently for all of us, but if you like sauce(we were very reserved with it) you may want to ask for more. Also it only came with 4 pancakes, which is typically standard. But this only used half of the pork mix and that was with us way over stuffing our pancakes. Overall, I’d say what we loved best was that they do the«secret» of Asian food. A good balance of fish sauce to soy sauce. If you don’t like fish, don’t be alarmed. The tastes are cancelled out on one another. It’s a perfect blend of salt taste mostly. As my boyfriend and I are great cooks, it was very impressive to note this. Since we got this delivered [$ 3 delivery fee] I can’t say anything about the restaurant itself. My only real complaint: We called at 4.45 pm on a Monday night. They said they would deliver at 5.45 pm. They arrived at almost 6 pm. We weren’t starving, but if we were, I’d probably skip this place and order from Fu Zhou as they deliver much, much faster. Almost more immediately. Their food is out the door in 10 minutes, so their driver arrives much faster(depending on your location from their restaurant). All in all, okay food, but a little pricey for what you get. Portions are decent though. All the food(plus our own dish and rice) easily fed four to five people.
