If you take a moment to review my previous posts, you’ll find that I’m fair and descriptive, and thus my review of Dragonfly Thai will be the same. So, here goes: It was dreadfully awful! My husband and I ordered two entrees: orange chicken and an onion/carrot/pepper/garlic beef dish thing(I think it was #55 on the menu). I’ll start w/the former first: 1. Orange chicken: It was more like neon orange, glowing nuclear chicken. The favor was so over-the-top that it was inedible. Not sure what they were trying to hide, but we seriously could not get past the flavor to enjoy it at all. And I use the word enjoyable loosely here because it was anything but(yes, the plate was full when we left); 2. The beef, onion, whatever else it was dish: As soon as they put the plate in front of us, my husband and I looked at each other and resurrected that 80’s line: «Where’s the Beef?» It was a pile of onions, some carrots and a few pieces of beef. We dug out the beef and split it between us each getting about 6 pieces each. Once we finished(i.e. with our six pieces of beef and some rice), the plate was still piled high with food and looked completely untouched because seriously it appeared as if they used two full yellow onions for this entrée. As for flavor, there was absolutely NONE. It was completely and utterly flavorless; void of any taste whatsoever. We dined in but the restaurant is more set up for ‘take out’ because the green tea I ordered came in a paper to-go cup. And, not once during our ‘dinner’ did anyone come by our table to check in on us. Yet two gentlemen stood behind the counter talking throughout our time there. I’m sorry to say that we will NOT be returning as we feel completely ripped off of our $ 25 and will not risk losing any more money on this establishment to give it another chance. It’s sad because it’s in a great location and appears to be the only Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. Note to Dragonfly: Check my reviews – fly to San Francisco and sample Osha Thai because that is REAL Thai. You’ll have a great dining experience.

Great Thai food especially the tamarind fish and yellow spicy shrimp curry. Service was excellent especially our server the lady at the cashier.

We’ve been to Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Saigon, and Tokyo many times. We’ve also eaten at a great many Thai restaurants in the South Bay and in Orange County. To us, Dragonfly Thai is consistently one of the best. We really enjoy their yellow curry and green curry dishes. Their golden pillows are excellent and their green salads are fresh and crisp every time. Friendly folks and great food.

One of the best lunch spots in PV and this was our second time to have lunch there. Their selection of delicious Thai dishes was impressive and got served very fast. Doesn’t have that fast food atmosphere and you can sit down and enjoy a nice lunch. A great place to stop after shopping at the mall.

The place is small and cozy. The food ok as I only ordered the spring rolls and tasted some of my friends lunch. To me, it’s not that authentic but then again, I would need a reason to be in the area again to try their other dishes. My friend loves the soup there, so I’ll check that out next time.

An adorable and great addition to the Peninsula/Rolling Hills area! When I attended Peninsula High, I remember being fairly disappointed that there weren’t a whole lot of decent restaurants in the area nearby Sure, there were fast food places but not a whole lot of variety besides those. This place was built the summer before my senior year, and I was so excited that there was finally going to a place I could dine with my friends during lunchtime!(Seniors were given the priority to eat lunch off-campus at my school) I love the fact that Dragonfly Thai’s dishes are all pretty large and meant for sharing. All their curries(I’ve tried both the yellow and green) are yummy. They’re more on the runny end, but I love the portion they give along with the amount of rice. Their noodle dishes(pad see eww, pad thai, and drunken noodles) are also really good! Extremely well seasoned! My favorite dish here is the pineapple fried rice as they give so much of it, and I love how hearty it is! The only problem I would have to say with this place is the seating! It’s meant mostly for couples or a huge group
