Amazing personnel … Friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic about the products especially Charlie. I am very conscious of healthy choices for my pups and found great chew treats that she helped me choose. All products made in USA!
I could have shopped and cruised the aisles that had so many awesome choices for hours, but my husband was in tow and looked anxious that I was going to buy the whole store. As a very fussy buyer, can give 5 star rating with great pleasure.

AMAZING staff! I am a new dog owner and was at first, very unsure about how to take care of my puppy. However, with the help from the staff, especially Monique and Charlie, I left the store feeling so much better. I received a wealth of information and great advice from them. Thank you!

Absolutely love the helpful, professional and knowledgeable staff at Pet Food Express. The store is always well stocked and well staffed. The staff is always willing to take the time to answer questions — they are a wealth of knowledge, each and every one of them. I was in the store last week and Charlie was especially helpful with some dietary questions. Pet Food Express is the one and only store where we purchase our dog food.

Lovely pet store. The staff here are incredibly friendly, helpful and know their stuff. Love going here. The «do it yourself dog baths» are very convenient. A little overpriced, but hey… saves you from cleaning up at home. Only real gripe is that their selection isnt as extensive as should be. Lot of brands they dont carry.

We love Pet Food Express! I have a very finicky cat. I tried all the foods at Petco, and wasted a lot of money. I decided to check this place out. I received great help and my cat loves everything I have given her from here. Also, you get a 4^th can free when you buy 3 — you can mix and match brands. We just adopted a rescue dog, Phoenix, and needed to get him set up with new food and treats. Jared, Kruti, and Charlie were so helpful and knowledgeable! Phoenix and I walked out with everything we needed, and they were so loving to my dog. I love this place. Thank you!

I have had such a great experience with pet food express, and the location in Rolling Hills Estates is no different.
I recently adopted a dog who is reactive to other dogs, so he had never been inside a pet food express until last night. I really appreciated all the support that I got from Kruti, Charli, and Katie in making sure the coast was clear, helping me weigh him, and being so understanding when he peed from all the nervousness. Thank you for everything!

I went in with my dog Mia. We were treated like old friends. Mia’s picky, but they recommended the best food. She’s been happy ever since. They go out of their way to keep some food available in their fridge while I work, so my dog always has fresh food. Couldn’t recommend more.

Employee remembered me from the NKLA adoption fair at the LA Brea Tar Pits last weekend and was very helpful and knowledgeable with helping me pick out cat food. I didn’t get her name, but she made shopping here very easy and informative! Not only that, I could find high quality cat food that I couldn’t find at PetCo or Petsmart. I found their Orijen cat food to be cheaper than Amazon as well. Store was very clean and organized as well. Petfood Express is now my go to place for my 3 kitties!

I have been coming to pet food express since they opened. I have two furry friends and one of them has extreme allergies. Charli consulted with me during my first visit and made some recommendations regarding some new food choices. We went with a raw diet and my dog’s overall health has improved greatly. She is healthier and happier and plays like when she was a small pup. Today I dropped in and got some new healthy treats that apparently are going to help with teeth cleaning. I love my pet food express. The staff are always helpful and happy.

I haven’t enough happy, positive words to say how delighted I am that that a Pet Food Express store is now within driving distance! I am a fan of these guys from northern Cal. The prices are the best and every single employee you interact with is a serious animal lover. These guys get all our business! Be sure to ask for Tiffany and Kruti:-)

Best high quality food for my furr loves! BEST customer service and knowledge of ingredients too. Overall highly rated place. clean, friendly staff who cares about their store and customers. I love Pet Food Express. Charli, Penny, and Dustin are the best in there. Charli turned us on to Nulu for our kitty. No further urinary probs at all with our cat Panther. Charli also turned us on to Smart Litter. We love the Smart Litter product it is effective and safe for our kitty. Penny was so welcoming and actually remembered that we own a Dogo Argentino. Penny turned us onto the Pet Naturals flea and tick wipes. Those are the Bomb! Dustin is a wonderful ball of knowledge. He really takes the time to listen to us and always has great suggestions for our various pet issues. I always feel welcomed and safe going into Pet Food Express Rolling Hills Estates. Pet Food Express is such a gem for so many of us on the hill.

Nice store!
It’s super-​clean, well-​organized, and there’s plenty of friendly staff to help you.
Ample parking out in front.
Their emphasis is on holistic food products, I found out today on my first visit. I’m on the hunt for Fancy Feast Appetizers using the old formula… because my cat won’t consider eating the new «improved» formula.
PFE didn’t have Fancy Feast cuz it’s kitty junk food, which I already knew. But they did encourage me to try a different expensive brand, which happened to be «buy 3 get 1 free».
So we’ll see if the damn cat will eat it.
Near the store entrance, I noticed one of those strollers designed to hold a small critter.
My cat isn’t allowed outdoors because he fights with anything, & I’ve often thought about pushing him around the neighborhood in a pet stroller (he hates his harness/​leash, no surprise).
I was very impressed with the quality of one of the collapsible strollers ($ 100), which I was told the store would even assemble for me.
I remarked to the sales guy that my neighbors will think I’m insane, pushing my cat around in this stroller. He suggested I could tape a picture of a baby in front of the cat.
Great idea!
But I’ve got a better idea: If I had a grand baby, there would be room for both baby AND cat in the stroller.
My son has been married for more than 3 months already & I’m wondering… Where. Is. The. Baby. The one I was promised, for years.
I mean, I got a lifetime of hard partying under my belt & I ain’t getting any younger & I could croak any day now. You never know. No pressure, but before I go to my grave… just sayin’…
So I’ll likely go back & buy the cat stroller. I’ll push the poor lonely cat around while I continue to wait for the elusive baby. *sigh*
Update: while I was writing this review, kitty ate the Applaws cat food I got today! It’s a miracle! Thanks, PFE!

The best first experience! I went there 10min after closing and a lady by the name of Charlie open the door for me and asked if I was out of food for my pet and I told her yes, I need it for my dog and she let me in and helped me pick out the food. She gave it to me for free because the registers were closed! I have never met such a sweet and helpful lady! My dog and I are so thankful for her kindness! If she isn’t the manager she should be! Thank you Charlie! You made our night! :)

After my bad experience at Petco, I called Pet Food Express. What a difference in customer service just from the phone call. They had the food I was looking for and put it on hold for me. I went into the store and couldn’t believe how clean it was. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be shopping here for all our pet needs!

Great staff, great customer service, and great selections. Very helpful and knowledgeable staffs. I spent over an hour here learning about pet food and the health effects related to. Will be back here to shop my doggie foods :)

Great pet store! Love the bath self service for your pets. They provide everything… from shampoo, towels, ferminator brush to blow dryers. You just wash your dog and then leave with a clean and happy dog. They clean up for you when you are done washing your dog. One thing I dread when I wash my dog at home is cleaning up and worrying about clogging the drain. No mess nor clogged drains from all the shedding of the dog hair. Just wash and go! Just $ 15 for 25 minutes. And friendly service… everyone is happy and loves animals! I would recommend this place to buy your pet needs and coming here to wash your dog (if you have the time).

Great store. Amazing selection of products and awesome staff. I have both dogs and cats at home. I buy a lot of food, treats, toys and pet care supplies. I have been doing my pet product shopping online the past year because I have been so tired of the usual chain stores to shop at and bland selection of products. I have to say how refreshing Pet Food Express is. So many new things that you do not see in other stores. Everything is displayed in a nice way. Makes shopping fun. I look forward to their new store in Beverly Hills that is going to open later in 2014.
I also love that they are supportive of rescue, pet adoption and working dogs.
Great place. Worth checking out.
