As a night time bar, this is the place to go! great music delicious fries. I really enjoy my time here. Waitresses are attentive in my experience. Try it!

Worst place to go. Waited with my daughter and her friends for 14mins! Nobody came to even acknowledge us. Walk out of there and the manager just looked.

Outraged that there is a dress code that allows flip flops and any other footwear to eat there but prohibited Air Jordan and Air Force One athletic shoes. We were joining a party of 30 people and were turned away. Is this racist or discrimination?

Not sure why all the subpar reviews, my visit was enjoyable. Sat at the bar, didn’t get weird looks when I didn’t order alcohol. Both of the bar tenders and 2 other staff members helped me out quickly and whenever I needed something. Food was good, I had the steak fajitas. Steak was great and veggies were seared just right. All in all, not bad for a Monday night.

disclaimer… adobe gilas is everything i avoid in a bar. however, sometimes it’s the last place open in mb financial park and i am not ready to stop drinking. adobe gilas is a corporate entity looking to provide guys/girls night out, bachelorette parties, etc. a loud, obnoxious good time. loud colors, loud music, frozen drinks, basically what i like to call a «shot girl bar». you find these places in hot spots like key west, and coastal towns that attract tourists, where it’s simply a great investment(constant traffic) with measured pours and closely watched profits. the food is horrible. again as my only options one night, i ordered the quesadilla(how do you screw those up, especially as a mexican restaurant) and there was barely any chicken, the cheese wasn’t fully melted, and though they provided some chips, they didn’t even provide a side of salsa &/or sour cream. i can’t imagine how bad the other sandwiches, etc. would be. small plastic shot glasses and a shit beer selection(guessing they serve more vodka & bud light than anything else). oh well, though i will be back, it will only be because every other place in the area is closed and my flask is empty.

Me & a coworker went her yesterday around 4, and we had such crappy service from a waitress named Amoni. It took forever for someone,(we had no idea who our waitress was) to come ask what we wanted, then when we finally got serviced, we seen her a total of 1 time. Once for the liquor, & someone else brought our food. We never got checked on since. So instead of sitting around and waiting on someone to come see if we needed anything else, we sat by the bar. She told us if we wanted something else we should of came up to her and asked.(where does that happen somewhere they wait you?) & because she was so damn rude I snapped & so did she. She’s unprofessional and should look into a new profession. Your never going to make any tips having an attitude like she had. Me & my coworkers are both hairstylists, we work for tips also. Your customer service means a lot. When your shitty so is your tip.

I wish I could give this business a negative 5 based on their discriminatory practices alone towards African Americans. If you are of any ethnicity other than African American, its fine to violate their dress code of No Jordan’s after 10pm. I dined there last night from 7pm until closing. After 11pm, I started to notice several pairs of Jordan’s in the building that were attached to patrons that were Caucasian, Asian and Hispanic. My friends that were joining me, were standing in line 5 ft behind a group of 6 party goers, in which 2 of the 6 had on Jordans, yet they were allowed to enter and my friends, in which only one of them had on Jordan’s and were African American were not allowed to enter and were pulled out of line and told to go elsewhere. When they mentioned that it was not fair that the others were allowed access and they were not, they were told by the Caucasion bouncer that life is not fair. Heartbroken and feeling like we received a racial discriminatory blow from the past, my friends sat on the sidelines and video taped, 7 additional pairs of Jordan’s enter the building attached to the feet of Caucasian and Asian individuals. With footage and photos in hand, I spoke with 2 managers and told them how I felt about their discriminatory practices. I was told that there was nothing they could do outside of comp my $ 20 bill. Nothing was done to address this issue at hand and I told them to keep the $ 20 comp and address this issue. I pointed out a person in Jordan’s right next to me and the manager told me, they are spending money, we can’t throw him out after he’s spent his money. Well according to your dress code, neither he or the other 7 ppl in the building were not suppose to be there but they were. Racism is very alive and well in this place, but after my experience last night, along with documented footage and photos, there will be a resolution!

As you can tell from my photo Adobe was dead today for lunch. Weird, because we had the absolute slowest service. Why you ask? Well I wouldn’t know the answer since I couldn’t see a server for a mile away. The food is pretty good for lunch but the service is so slow! I work close by and wanted to spend an hour for lunch but ended up spending more time just waiting on the bill and the server for various things. Pretty disappointing experience. Hopefully they change that because it’s a decent spot, I’d give them four stars if they just picked up the pace!

Do not order their pitchers of margaritas. You’ll waste your money they are basically margarita flavored KoolAid. Even the waitress agreed they are weak. Our burger was legitimately raw and had to be sent back and the steak tacos had a very old meat taste. Waitress was extremely nice though. What a shame

This is our 1st time… we usually eat at park tavern and hofbrahaus for lunch. But since the former is closed for a private event and the latter… were not craving for sausages right now. So our choices are Irish and Mexican. We ended up choosing Mexican. The place just opened when we got there. Service was good. We ordered steak(not in the picture) and mahi-mahi tacos. The salsa for the chips was medium spicy and is really good. Guacamole was made daughter had cheese quesadilla and finished 2 of it. Overall it was a good experience. We will try their other stuff especially the fish bowls and margaritas next time.

I went here to celebrate my birthday and it was ok. I ordered one of the fish bowls which could use more alcohol because it tastes like juice. Anywho, the chicken quesadillas are delish and the fries taste ok. I ordered the elotes corn which was a poor rendition of the authentic kind so I sent that back. Another con was two of my guests arrived and gave the front desk hostess my name and told them we had a reservation and the hostess was clueless and My friends had to call me to come and greet them and direct them to our table. I thought that was odd and unprofessional but overall, great service from our waitress.

Were attending a show at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. We had planned to eat out and decided to stop at one of the restaurants in the MB Financial Park area since it was within walking distance of the convention center. Having a taste for Mexican that afternoon, we decided to stop at Adobe Gilas. The restaurant wasn’t very full, so we were seated immediately at a table of our choice. We started with an order of Queso Fundido — chips with a cheese dip. The chips were tricolor. That colored chips were very bright suggesting that the artificial colors were used. I would have preferred if the colors weren’t so bright, but used natural coloring instead. Nevertheless, the chips and the cheese dip were good. For dinner, we both ordered the steak fajitas. My wife had the regular fajitas while I got my with a Korean accent. We both enjoyed our dinners. The portions were plentiful and the food was good. We were too full to get dessert. The service was fine since it wasn’t very crowded. Perhaps the best aspect of dining here(or any other restaurant in the MB Financial Park area) is that they validate your parking ticket for the garage nearby. That alone is worth $ 15. So, if you’re in the Rosemont area, and especially if you’re at the convention center and parked in the garage, and are looking for some Mexican food, give Adobe Gilas a try.

Here it goes… This is why i believe this place is 2 stars worthy: 1-upon entry dirty. 2-staff is rude(bartenders) 3-restrooms are so small that there is always a line of 30+ people. This is beyond ridiculous, they have the room and definitely make the money to invest in more stalls. 4– no dance floor,! They have one tiny stage that everyone is cramped up dancing drunk and the remaining space you can’t even breathe because there are tables in between. If during the day you serve food and at night people like to dance my suggestion is move those tables, create more room so people have a little of a dance floor to move around. 5-you can’t even use the full bar since staff takes a good portion of it, is just laid out poorly. 6-not enough staff in the bar. 7-if you are sitting down don’t count on getting a drink, come and get it because the staff that’s supposedly serving won’t come to your table, go to the bar and wait wait wait if you get lucky you get a drink. 8-finally the reason why I give 2 stars and not one is because this place at least plays good music. That I have to say. Give it to the DJ. ;) Other than that meh that’s my opinion.

I have been to adobe gilas multiple times and everytime we had a bad experience. First time we went during the day and ordererd some food. When we got the food it was cold and was some of the worst mexican food Ive had. Fishbowl drinks are watered down and a waste of our money. We went back on a weekend just to drink and enjoy the music because we already learned not to order food from here. We didnt order the fishbowl drinks this time around and ordered beer and four lemon drop shots. The shots were horrible and tasted like water! I don’t even think there was any vodka in it. I was very disappointed because Ive never paid that much money for small shots of water. I am never going back to this establishment again, it is very overrated.

Standard overpriced bar and grill. Fishbowls will run you $ 30-$ 40, which isn’t too bad if you split with a friend, but they’re watered down. A bottled corona will run you $ 8. No thanks! Food is blah, except for maybe the carna asada fries. Those are ONFLEEK. Service is lacking. As a small group(1−3ppl), you’re lucky if your server will glacé at you within the first 20 minutes of you arriving(go to the bar to get your drinks). I will say that as long as there is a good number of your party already there, they will make a space for large groups — I’ve come here with about 25 or so people from work, as well as been here for a birthday party, and it seems to improve the frequency of service. If you like to dance, come here on the weekends. They have local acts up until about 9pm, and after that they have a DJ spinning whatever popular ish is on the radio. The dance floor gets crowded — and I mean elbow-to-elbow-front-to-back crowded — after about 11/12pm, so come early unless you enjoy physical contact with strangers. The location is straight rotten — confusing one-way streets and $ 15 to park in the garage, although they will validate parking. Ask your server or the bartender. One more note — while they have a convenient exit/entrance to the parking garage at the back of the establishment, you can’t come in through it after a certain time(usually when it starts to heat up).

Located in Rosemont’s Entertainment District, Adobe Gilas is a fun restaurant with Tex-Mex food, karaōke and margaritas. If Chili’s and Hooter’s had a baby that baby would be Adobe Gilas. Tex-Mex food, scantily clad women and lots of boozy drinks. But the place is fun, energetic and the food is pretty good. Tacos, Nachos, Steak and Chicken Wings they have all the party food here folks. And let’s not forget their drinks. Fishbowl margaritas, classic margaritas, Mexican and Domestic beer Adobe is there if you’re thirsty. As the offspring of Chili’s and Hooter’s, Adobe Gilas is a great place for a night out on the town. Karaōke on Mondays, Fishbowl Margaritas and scantily clad women, sounds like something for you? If so, Adobe Gilas is for you. Adobe Gilas, that place bites!

This place is so weird. I never like it but what can you do when your choices are limited. Anyway we entered here and the server greeted us right away and got us drinks. She was fantastic and thats the reason the review has one star. The bouncers are awful, the place is dirty, the bathroom stalls dont close. Its hard to squat and hold the door when you have had 3 beers. The annoying part are the bouncers. They made us take our hats off. The place is cold and that hat is part of my outfit. I dont get it, am i going to drink more if i dont have my hat on? Or am i not going to pay my bill. Nah, chances are I am going to have one drink leave and write a well deserved one star review. Its a restaurant, let me enjoy my crappy food and beer and leave me alone.

There are better options in Rosemont. Best thing was that I came on $ 10 fajitas night. Both my guest and I went with the steak option. When the fajitas arrived there was barely any food on the platter. There were only a few tiny pieces of meat. Plus they bring you the smallest portion of sides I’ve ever seen. If I was to have made a normal fajita there was only enough for 1& ½. I was still hungry after leaving and I’m pretty small. I can’t imagine how hungry a guy would be!

This place, for food alone, would elicit disappointment, and 2 stars. but this place, with the atmosphere of clubby fun on an early Sunday evening — gets 4! Because it’s not trying to be an authentico restaurant. It’s so much more! The salsa was good, and the food was fairly filling, and there was DANCING, and the service was good(considering how packed they already were!) The DJ mixed a LOT of songs, including«Sweet Child of Mine» — and he did a good job of mixing it up. Would I want to even attempt going here on a Fri or Sat night? No way Jose! But why does this place have 2 stars? You guys don’t realize you’re not just paying for the food and drinks, but also for the fun? My husband loved his margarita, enjoyed the salsas, and was not impressed by the fajitas. I enjoyed the salsas, found the fajitas fine for a clubby place out in Rosemont, and didn’t care for the margaritas(but, since I love dancing, and everyone was really nice to me) I didn’t care that I didn’t care for them :) Just know what you’re getting into: A club that is also a restaurant. A lady at a table near us was probably at least 20 years our senior, was drunk — and having a blast. Some ppl from the Hawaiian pub crawl meandered in and were trying to find fun after an apparently mismanaged event. Other than that, there were just many different groups of ppl out to enjoy their Sunday holiday — and from what I saw, most did. I know I did! I really loved this place, it reminded me of being in my early 20’s in Texas again, including some not-great-tex-mex ;D Just get your dance on! And snack a bit! Stop worrying about it being crowded and the food being Just Ok. The food *is* OK but you are in such a fun place! Why complain? :)
