Been sitting here for over 40 mins waiting for my takeout. They just started cooking it after i ordered 40 minutes ago. Thanks for wasting my time. I came in at 6:20 and thought it would be 15 minutes max for my order to be ready. I asked her what is taking so long i have been here for over 30 mins. She told me they are really busy. Stop lying and just admit you forgot to cook my order. Food better be good.

We ordered this for the first and last time last night. It’s expensive and on par with food court chinese food; probably worse. They recommended the Pad Thai and it was terrible. It tasted like noodles with soy sauce, sesame oil, and handful of chopped peanuts on top. By far the worst I’ve had. The cream cheese puffs were mediocre at best. The sauce that came with them was really tasty though. We were really bummed because we just moved to the area and were hoping this would be a decent chinese delivery option. On to other restaurants.

Apparently dumping soy sauce onto undercooked rice makes fried rice — who knew? Sweet and sour chicken was soggy and tasted off and sesame chicken contained way too much ginger. None of the flavors worked. Will definitely not be going back. Should have stuck with Mei Wei.

Service was fast but pricey. Fried rice was bland no egg just rice with soy sauce or something and fried up was dry too. Lo mien was good and sweet and sour chicken was more a tradional dish. Over all not worth what we paid for it and the combo dishes come with 3 crappy cheese wanton and not a egg rolls. Only reason I went was because I had a gift certificate and I will not be going back. Super world buffet is better then this place and cheaper.

Excellent egg foo young, sauce had great flavor. Not all goopy and bland like most places. Cream cheese wontons were great too, light crispy and slightly sweet. They also deliver which is awesome.

Stopped in on a Friday night for some takeout. I paid for my food and am still waiting for it an hour later. Customers are ready to riot. The young guy in charge said I should have known this would happen on a Friday night. WTH?

I am very surprised by all of the previous reviews. Our experience was excellent. It was for a party of 6 to pick up. We were told 15 minutes, we got there before 15 minutes and it was ready. No waiting! I ordered the Mongolian chicken, loved it. My wife got shrimp lo mien. She loved it. Not sure what the other 2 adults in the party ordered but the left overs were minimal. Large portions which I like and made to order. I asked for the Mongolian chicken spicy and it was. The Hong Kong Bistro was a great experience for my family and guests.

The food is simply poorly done and greatly misses the mark. I challenge the owners/cooks to spend a day on Eat Street(Nicollet Ave) South Mpls, and try any of the dishes, egg rolls and fried rice offered from any of the establishments, compare, then go back to the drawing board.

I click on the website you graciously posted and that is FAR from what we received. What we received was batter like many restaurants use on generals chicken and had NO tofu. While I applaud your response to a review, I know what we ordered and what we received. Had you just apologized and not insinuated that I don’t know what tofu is, with a husband who was a vegetarian for 15 years. we may have given you a second shot. I don’t aim to put anyone out of business or to slander, only to let people know the experience I had at a business as That is what Unilocal is about. I hope that businesses read their reviews like you have and take their complaints and compliments into consideration to make it a better place and a more enjoyable experience for their customers like you are trying.

Tried this new restaurant tonight. We will never be eating there again. We love Chinese food and have enjoyed it at many places. Barelry able to choke down what was supposed to be seasame chicken yet was more lik a combo of orange and sweet and sour chicken. Even my non picky son couldnt eat it. The fried rice was nothing more than rice with soy sauce. I understand that opening a restaurant is hard but when your customers expect a similar food experiance to other places, it would be nice to have received that. The flavors were terrible. Good luck to you but we will remain faithful to our other local restaurant.

I’ve been here at least four times, service has all been very good, staff always friendly. I have had Kung Pau Chicken twice and Pad Thai twice. All the ingredients tasted fresh with great presentation. The first Pad Thai was chicken and you know what? It didn’t taste like any Pad Thai that I’ve ever tasted, not even remotely. I applaud reinventing a dish but if that’s the case, call it something else please. The noodles were all clumped together and everything tasted the same, like noodles cooked in a light soy sauce and oil. I was hoping for something a little different in the Chinese food scene in Rosemount but this is almost average Chinese food.

Tonight was my first(and probably last) visit to this restaurant. The Mongolian Beef was very dry and almost mealy in texture and the General Tso’s chicken was very greasy and oddly flavorless. The fried rice was nothing more than undercooked small grain rice doused in soy sauce. The egg rolls were very, very oily. One good thing: the cream cheese wontons were great. Sorry, Hong Kong Bistro, but I won’t be back.

Walk in the Door and grab a to go menu. Ok? Look it over in the small entrance. Ok? Pick something that sounds good(It won’t be when it arrives) but that later. Order at counter, pay, get a number for your table and beverage cups. Pick a table, get your drinks and wait. So, already at this point we thinking what just happened. The staff was friendly, I would guess 8 of them. So, how about one of you greet and seat and give a real menu. Our, food ends up going to the wrong table. We, noticed it and no one touched the food at that table. Not busy at this point 5 tables of customer’s. Bring our plate’s over to us right away. Nope, they bring them back to kitchen and wait 2 minute’s like surprise here’s your food. wow! My dish was Horrible, beef triple mushroom, eggrolls average, but why the pink food coloring inside? Fried rice Horrible, how can 8 plus Chinese folk’s not make a decent fried rice? Honestly, the worst fried rice I’ve eaten, the little I tried. The wife’s Chicken Lo Mein was descent. She, offered to share and said get a to go box and doctor my order up at home. It hit the garbage can in the garage, it never made it in the House. I’m not Chinese and can make a meal way better than this experience.
