Bamboo Wok

Just plain bad. If you ever had Chinese at a food court in the mall that’s what you would get here, except for some reason everything has a really dark hue. Wonton soup was the color of soy sauce, The sweet-​and-​sour sauce was blood red. And the cashew chicken look like they made general Tsos chicken and sprinkled a couple cashews nuts on top. I have never seen anything like it. I ate the soup first and had to run to the bathroom, not eating anything else.

The food is really good I always get the broccoli chicken or the mango chicken and it never disappoints. I also love the wonton soup. It’s probably my favorite wonton soup from all the Chinese food joints I’ve tried. I tried their delivery once, and it took longer than an hour to get to my house so I wouldn’t recommend getting it delivered.

Do not answer phone ever

Although, this is only the 2^nd Chinese restaurant we’ve tried in the area, Bamboo Wok is by far the best that I’ve had. My family loves Chinese & eats it quite often, so we’d like to think we’re pretty knowledgeable about what’s actually considered good & what’s not. I thought the food was pretty good. Since 1^st trying, I’ve been back several times shortly after for lunch and dinner. I’ve tried several dishes & all of them were great. I like egg drop soup & its really hard for me to find really good egg drop, but this one was just ok. The taste of it was fine, but it is a little greasy, so that’s why I didn’t give 5 stars. The wonton soup is better. The prices are more than reasonable for the moderate portions they give you. All in all, my family & I thinks we have found our new Asian restaurant favorite surrounding our new area. Try it, I think you will like it. Oh Btw, the customer service is great as well! This review is based on the Manvel location, not the Rosharon location. We have yet to try the one in Rosharon, to be clear.

I tried this restaurant for the 1^st time. I was a bit hesitant because I never see many patrons here, but decided to give it a try because it is located directly across from my subdivision. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, tasty and visually appealing. The actual storefront restaurant is pretty small, but intimate setting inside. I will definitely frequent this establishment again. Well done.

This place was just ok for me. Hunan beef had absolutely no flavor, but the egg rolls and crab wontons were good. My husband had sesame chicken and it was good, but hardly no white meat. Went to pick up our order and when we got it home, they had forgotten the egg rolls and we had to go back. Will probably give it another try later on, but I still prefer QQ next to Kroger near the toll way. This place is convenient because it’s right outside my neighborhood.

Don’t waste your time or your money. The food was runny and the broccoli wasn’t cooked correctly. Shrimp fried rice was over cooked and dark. Sesame Chicken was dark meat. Didn’t like it.

Yahhoooo! So glad they have a second location closer to my house!!! I’d been to the one in Manvel a couple of times and liked it, just didn’t like driving that far. I ordered take out last week, orange chicken and dumplings — it’s the same great consistency as the other location and they are spot on with their timing. If only they delivered I’d be in HEAVEN!!! But, I guess I can throw clothes on and schlep my lazy behind the less than 5 miles from the house they are from me now… #firstworldproblems.

Ordered takeout a month ago. Fast service, all were very friendly and it was a clean establishment. Nothing spectacular that sets it apart from other Chinese I have had, but it was good food nonetheless– and their prices are average :) location is perfect for us, and will definitely order again when wanting Chinese food

Very good food and friendly service. I like spicy food and they will adjust any item to your liking. Will be a regular!!!
