Silverlake Hunan Restaurant

Silverlake Hunan is a great Chinese restaurant offered in the Pearland area; it happens to be one of the finest Chinese restaurants I have tasted. Their food always has great flavor, perfect temperature, and great service. Whether I dine-​in, take-​out, or get it delivered, the food is always amazing and on time. They also have economic dinners for 2 or more that is not offered anywhere else! Silverlake Hunan definitely has a way of providing the best for their customers from the food to the cost. Any dish or item you get is made fresh to the order along with their top of the line meats. I am very pleased with this restaurant and I will continue to come here!!!

Food had very little flavor. Everything was overcooked and soggy. I will not be going back there even though it is the closest restaurant to where I live.

It’s okay right now!

Today we ordered 40.00 worth of food which was supposed to include 3 orders of egg roles (9.00). When the food arrived, these were nowhere to be found– when we called they argued with us, to which they stated that the delivery packer said they were packed and delivered. When we said NO– they ARE NOT THERE they proceeded to state (from the background) that we are crazy. I wouldn’t lie about 3 orders of dry tasteless egg rolls.
You should be embarrassed at your low level of customer service. I will not order from your business again, and for the record, we used to order quite a bit from you. If I could give 0 STARS I would. Shadowcreek, southerntrails, and all other Developments in the area should steer clear of this business.
I made them bring the egg rolls… it’s not about the $ it was a part of my family’s meal. Poor poor poor service…

Stopped in for lunch when we saw the lunch special sign. Wish we would have just gone over to chik-​fil-​a. My beef and broccoli tasted like it was out of a frozen dinner package and my girlfriends tofu was boiled without having been seared and was a mushy awful tasting mess. No reason to ever go here.

Came here for lunch while waiting for my car at Discount Tire. I was very pleased with my meal. I tried the Orange chicken over fried rice. It was delish! Nice portions and flavorful. I will for sure keep this place in mind when I’m feeling like Chinese food. Customer service is also great. :)

They are so good! Super nice service, I’m not sure who the old man is in there, but he is super nice, always checking to make sure we were ok. The food is great, you get a lot for your money! My mom and I just found this place, it’s now our «to go to» place when we are hungry for Chinese food. The fried shrimp ball is great. All the food is just so good! It’s a small but clean place, a little dated. People when you go into a restaurant there’s gonna be food on the floor because of little kids and the restaurant is not going to pick up every single thing, just enough to make it look clean, I don’t understand the complaining for having food in the floor, it’s a restaurant!

I like that my food choices are accommodated at restaurants. No rice for me. I had chicken, broccoli, tofu with little brown sauce. I added the spicy red chile sauce. This was satiating and yummy!!!
Look at their menu for the kinds of dishes they offer. Had their lunch menu. Came with an egg roll, soup and your choice of rice.
Fortune cookie at the end. Drinks always filled. They also deliver.

Their beef and broccoli is really good. I ordered out and it took less than 10 minutes.

THE BEST! The food is amazingly great and the customer service is good, they’re prices are so incredibly cheap for the amount of food you received during lunch. Absolutely love it! It’s my new favorite.

We order from this place all the time and the food is fine for Chinese take out. Well today we ordered our food and it gets here in around 45 minutes a little soggy, but nothing to complain about. Well, I ordered a sweet and sour chicken that comes with no sauce. We have had a similar situation where they forgot something in the past but it is pretty much impossible to eat sweet and sour chicken without the sweet and sour. The girl on the phone asks me if there was any that came with the egg rolls. Really? It is like an ounce I say. She said the driver could bring me more, but of course in 45 minutes the food would be colder, so I told her to just take it off my bill. She said I could come pick it up or wait on the driver those were my two options. Never even an «I’m sorry.» They just lost a frequent customer over $ 9 as well as how far word of mouth will spread. I have recommended this place to others and will certainly be doing the opposite now. I could care less about the sauce, but the lack of customer service is inexcusable.

My fav Chinese food place. Love their crab yummy & chicken fried rice. Service is excellent. We order about twice a month for delivery and the driver knows I have kids and always adds extra fortunes cookies for them. Price is about average with large portions of food.

For as long as I can remember, we’ve ordered from this restaurant whenever we wanted Chinese takeout. Probably since it opened! NEVER again, though.
One of the foods I look forward to most when I get food from here is the crispy shrimp balls. How dare they call them shrimp? I have one in front of me as I type this and it is NOT shrimp. It’s more like a bread, with NO visible shrimp or even a distinct shrimp taste. They used to have a siomai-​type consistency. They also cut down on the sizes of their orders. I expected more for the amount I paid. Overall, the quality itself has been getting worse over the years and this is it.

The food is bland. I’ve been here several times because it’s close to home. The truth is that it’s over priced. The portions are small. And the food is just ok. It will give you a fix, but it won’t leave you wanting more.

I give this place a try once a year and I’m happy to finally report after 11 years it sucks.

I really wanting some Chinese food so my son and I stopped by this place after his Dr’s appt. The place was empty at 5pm. That should have been the clue to skip this place, but they had a great special posted of two entrees, two soups and two egg rolls for $ 20. Some people never learn I guess… lol. When we walked in they yelled across the dining room to sit wherever we wanted. After passing on the cramped booths we found a table and our waiter took our drink orders. After we ordered, the food came really fast and the portions were average. My son ordered the Combination Lo Mein and I got the Kung Pao Chicken. My 17 yr old football OL son will eat anything and rarely complains, only when there is not enough, but he decidely said that the dish was greasy and lacked flavor. My Kung Pao while looking excellent on the plate had no spicy flavor. Normally at other places I have to pick the peppers out so as not to accidently bite into them, but there was not a single one in the mix. So, I thought maybe they used ground chili pepper, but after several bites into the dish I realize it had virtually no seasonings at all. By this time three sets of customers had come in and our waiter was the only one so he basically ignored our empty drink glasses and spent more time taking phone orders than waiting on the dining room guests They had a lady answering the phone, but I guess there was a language issue since our waiter was non-​asian it looked like he was translating. Then just as I was about to finish my dish, my son went ewww!!! There was a long strand of hair in my food about 2 to ²¹⁄₂ in long. While we sat there being ignored by our waiter we noticed a lady come from the kitchen to get a drink and she had flowing long hair and no hair net, so we summized it was probably her hair. I finally got our waiter’s attention got our check and paid the bill. When he brought the slip to sign I showed him the hair and told him they needed to make the cook wear a hair net. He said nothing. We lingered a bit at our table, I wanted to see if anyone would come over and apologize about the hair. I didn’t want a refund or discount, it I had I would have shown the hair before paying. However, nobody considered it serious enough to bother offering an apology.

Love this place, dine in our take out, we always encounter the friendliest people. Their Mongolian Beef is SOOO good, as well as their Pepper Steak, too, along with many other entrees. Can’t say enough, this is our go to spot and we are never disappointed. =)

Average. Garlic beef was good. We got the family meal for 3. We did beef and broccoli, beef in garlic sauce, and beef Panang. It came with three soups and 2 egg rolls 1 spring roll. All average.
