This place has never been a let down. I have been hooked to the food here since before they openned the doors at this location. The taste and quality of the food has always been consistent. Their location at 20205FM685, Pflugerville, TX78691 is a small hole in the wall place that me and my family would frequent because of their 6 mini taco special. If you have never been, this is a place to try. Love live music this place has latin talent on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. If going on these days make sure to show up early because it does get crowded and the place is not that big. Enjoy!!!

So I came here for the first time yesterday and it was soooo good, I came again today. I placed my order through Unilocal,no problem yesterday. Today, apparently nobody was checking the orders and when I arrived, 5 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready, they couldn’t find my order… Until they checked the office printer for it… I mean… If your going to offer the ability the order through Unilocal,it would make sense the orders are coming through in a place everyone will see them, right? And not just sometimes, but all the time. Otherwise, just don’t do it. I have been waiting for over 25 minutes for 2 tacos… And, they made me pay for my $ 5 order, after this major screw up. Even after I asked the cashier to talk to her manager, she just asked me to wait until my order was ready… Seriously??? Slowest service ever. It’s 2 tacos… How long does it take to make 2 tacos, when you already messed up and I’ve been waiting for 25 minutes? Not happy! The«person in charge» looked like he was 18…

What went wrong is your management is not very nice. I had to argue my way for the refund after it being there mistake all they wanted to give me was the side of beans that was missing from my order.

I love this place ! It’s so convenient that there’s a drive thru to a great Mexican food place ! The gringa tacos are bomb ! Add avocado ! And don’t forget about the aqua frescas ! I can not complain, staff is always so great !!

Fake tortillas… Or shall i say store bought tortillas. … Uggghhhhhh… Not authentic… To carry a restaurant like this your tortillas should be homemade Response**** Yes i believe for your audience… Or Neighborhood… They don’t know any different… Authentic mmmmmm nope not even close… When u serve alcohol or drinks nobody really pays attention. Sorry just giving true advice.

Our first impression was wow this place must be really good so busy, felt a little crowded with all the seating close together. We have been looking for a really good Mexican food place. the wait time was slow just trying to order only 1 register open and not to mention the lack of organization at the entrance, I had asked for chips and salsa at the front but the guy said we will get them at the table. Waited about 20 min for the chips and salsa.(we were not in a hurry but 20 min for chips and salsa pretty long wait and 45 min later our food) yes they were busy which is why we waited now for the positive the FOOD was great! The staff was friendly. Overall we will come again based on the food but not for a quick lunch. 1hr for food to long

Finally, MEXICAN food and not that texmex crap! Everything we try is always good. Great shrimp cocktails, delicious margaritas, just great flavor all the way around! It gets crowded but that’s part of the experience. It’s like a big Mexican wedding in a small venue lol… love this place

I had the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce because they are my favorite type, and these were by far the worst I’ve had. The sauce was disgusting and curdled. Reminded me of cottage cheese.

I drove by this place and i got really excited because outside says«SABOR A MEXICO» and i LOVE Mexican food! well #1 enchiladas with AMERICANCHEESE… NOT authentic, that’s a tex-mex thing. #2 tortilla soup … Vegetable soup with chips its NOT authentic tortilla soup. #3 tacos al pastor … All i can say is… Where is the trompo??? Crappy bands playing on weekends… The only cool thing about the place is the salsa bar DEFINITIVAMENTENOSABE A MÉXICO

Came here for the first time today. I got fajita tacos; which were delicious. The rice and beans are ok; nothing too spectacular. They also have pretty good horchata and the BEST menudo in town! I like that they have a variety of salsas in their salsa bar and that they have a drive-thru. Overall, a great place to eat some darn good Mexican food.

I am a sucker for a salsa bar. But this salsa bar had me wanting for Taco Cabana, which is not a good thing. The plates were pricey for what you got, very bland beans, rice, and soggy meat. When I asked if tortillas were homemade, they almost laughed at me.

I was worried when I saw the drive-through that the quality would be similar to Taco Bell. I was pleasantly surprised by the tacos. I tried the al pastor, beef fajita, and carnitas. All were excellent, but the al pastor was the best with the pineapple chunks. Staff was great and made some good recommendations since it was my first time there.

I’ve eaten at this place many times before and always enjoyed it, but tonight my wife ordered one pound of bistek to go and when we got home open the box and instead of a pound of meat it seemed as if they had put a pound of onions with meat sprinkled on it. I decided to call the restaurant to let them know what had happened and rather then offer to make it right they told me that there was a pound of meat in there and there was nothing he can do. I offered to show him the pictures of what I’m looking at and Hector the«manager» proceeded to tell me that all his kitchen staff had done was add onions on top. Needless to say I will not be returning to pay $ 19 for a pound of onions with a side of bistek or anything else for that matter.

This place is great. We’ve only been here twice, and gotten the lunch special both times. It was excellent.

Good food but terrible and unorganized service. All the employees look lost and confused. Witnessed many drinks being returned or never given. One table waited almost an hour for their food: menudo and tacos. Won’t be coming back.

Used to come here every morning but it has been a while. Came in today for the Caldo de Res. Ordered a bowl. When I came it seemed small. Asked if what they gave me was a bowl and was reassured it was. Not ten mins later a big ol bowl came to the table next to me. Plus the«nuked» my soup so much that the beef that was outside the broth was burnt dry. This is the second time in a row they have jacked up my order so this is the last time I’m coming here

Friday nights are fun thats for sure. they make a chamoy mango margarita that is delicious! I can’t say it enough. Their tacos are amazing. The atmosphere is entertaining. They have live music on friday nights by a local spanish group, and on the particular friday night we were there they also had a DJ. The salsa bar is great, there are so many different salsas to try with your tacos, that it will set your palate into taste overload. I really enjoy their food.

I came to rave about this place, and I’m so sad that I’m reading so many negative reviews. I went for some food tonight, and I thought it was perfect, the only thing missing was a beach. To set some expectations, this is a more authentic Mexican food place, not Tex-Mex. most of the menu is «street tacos» with a variety of meats and salsas. This is also a sit down restaurant, not fast food, the drive through can be deceiving. :) I read below about getting hard cheese instead of melted cheese(queso). What this place serves is called queso fundido. It is real melted cheese instead of the processed velveeta type queso you get at a Tex-Mex place. A tip would be to cut it with a knife, put it in your tortilla with some pico or salsa. To set some expectations around the drive thru, this isn’t McDonald’s. Things are made fresh, so expect to wait a little. I believe the restaurant that was there before was a burger joint, and a drive thru made sense. I frequently use the drive thru, and I just take something to read or play on my phone. I also read comments about the slow service. I haven’t experienced that. I believe this restaurant is trying to create a dining experience. Where you can go relax, grab some food and drinks and maybe even get to hear some live music. So if your service feels slow, grab a beer. :) FYI, I grew up in a border town and have traveled to many places in Mexico. Eating here brings back those memories and feelings. Like I said above, all it needs is a beach.

Great place for tacos! I had the al pastor, fajita, and bistec tacos. The al pastor on the trompo were beyond expectations. My only complaint is the speed of service, but so many factors could have caused it and that is totally fixable. I will be back!

Thought I would try it. Pretty bad. Noisy. Slow service. Had to wait to pay — waiting for some other person to pay although I had my food and the only one in line. Rice had no flavor. Black beans avg. Order two types of meats, but only ate one — could not figure the 2nd one. Going thru line was confusing. Anyway. Not my kinda place. Maybe it’s for you. One more thing — it cost me about $ 9.50 for lunch plate. That is too much for mexican food. So it fails my 3 tests. — 1. good food 2. Reasonable price. 3. Service

Had some early after noon tacos for lunch, I just can’t get enough of that salsa bar, its like changing the flavors all over again. Each salsa has its own unique flavors that add a whole different level to whatever your eating, I had two tacos but it was like I had four or five with all the flavors to choose from. Mix and match, some may not go together as well as others, but it sure was tasty to find out. Cant wait to come back. Service has always be nice and courteous.

This little Mexican restaurant next to Walmart in Round Rock actually serves delicious food. It’s an order at the counter kind of place, but the meat and various soups won’t disappoint you.
