Omg Katie is literally the best waitress I’ve ever had in any restaurant! She noticed how my niece was holding her ears because of the loud music playing and went over and talked to her in such a polite tone and then went over to turn down the music. She then came back and cheered her up, I seriously thought she would start quoting Doctor Suess at this point! She then made sure we were also doing great multiple times making sure we were never forgotten. I can’t think of any words to say how much we all really liked her! And as for the food it was incredible! The magic shroom burger is fantastic! Got their Mighty Mule drink and that was delicious! And lastly I tried their top shelf tequila shot for $ 6(not bad price!) and it was too delicious! 5⁄5 will recommend to everyone!

Let me first start with, I was very excited that Hop Doddy was coming to Round Rock. I had been waiting for months for this location to open because it’s so close to home. I’m a frequent flyer at the Hop Doddy on Anderson Ln because I love it soooo much. Although, my first time trying the Round Rock location was a total shock. I don’t even know where to go from here. I guess my biggest complaint is the staff. I’m not sure if they were having a bad night but there weren’t too many smiles and most of the employees seemed to hate their job. It was a very stiff environment and a stuck up vibe. Total opposite from the Anderson location which is way more relaxed and where the employees are full of positive vibes. I’d also like to say that the layout of the Round Rock location is horrible compared to Anderson Ln. First of all, it feels like you’re waiting in line at an amusement park with the way the line zigzags back and forth and everyone is crammed next to each other. Then once you make it inside the building to stand in line some more there’s people sitting in booths directly to your right and more people sitting at the bar directly to your left. There’s barely any room to move once you get inside. I felt like if I moved to the right I would end up sitting in someone’s booth or hovering over their food(not to mention how frustrated I would be if I was the person sitting in one of those booths), and if I moved to slightly to the left I would be bumping someone sitting in a bar stool. On top of that the line inside blocks the pathway to the restroom. If someone wants to go to the restroom they have to cut through the people in line who are already grumpy from the long wait. Now, once my girlfriend and I got to the front to order our food we received another shock. ROUNDROCKDOESN’T HAVETHESAMEMENU… We were both looking forward to some Chili Cheese Fries and I was expecting my all time favorite, The K Town Belly Burger. They didn’t have either one of these items which are both served up at the Anderson location. With that said, we were SUPERDISAPPOINTED after waiting in line for over an hour and at the last minute find out we can’t even get what we came for. So, at this point I order the El Diablo because I’ve never had it before and my girl orders the Terlingua as usual. We also tacked on an order of the Green Chile Queso Fries because they didn’t have the Chili Cheese. After ordering our food and drinks we finally get seated and wait for about 20 minutes before our server ever shows up at our table. Then he forgets to even ask if we’ve ordered some drinks. I just assumed he already knew since he didn’t ask. Normally, at the Anderson location we’ll get seated and the server will already be on top of it, with a great attitude, and have our drinks out within 5 minutes or so. Not in Round Rock! Our server came back about 10 minutes later and still didn’t have our drinks. So we finally show him our receipt and point out that my girl ordered a margarita and I ordered a beer. Now, let me mention, the whole time we were waiting on our server and wondering if we were ever going to get our drinks I was watching 2 or 3 female bartenders standing around chatting and maybe wiping some glasses down. There wasn’t a whole lot of activity going on at the bar at this time. So finally, I see our server go up to the bar and ask one of the girls for our drinks. Of course she serves the beer first and then makes the margarita right after, but my thinking is, «WHYDIDITTAKESOLONGTOGETDRINKSIFTHEBARTENDERSAREPRETTYMUCHSTANDINGAROUND?» So finally we get our drinks and we’re still waiting on our food. After about a total of 40 minutes sitting down we get our food. And again, I’m wondering why it took so long. Also, why didn’t our fries come out first before the burgers like they normally do at the Anderson location so you have something to snack on while waiting on the main course? Anyways, luckily, after all the disappointment the burgers and fries were actually good. No complaints there. BUT the Green Chile Queso that came with the fries was another disappointment. Again, it wasn’t anything close to the Anderson location. The cheese was runny and kind of a puke green all the way through. It looked like snot to me. My girl wouldn’t even eat it and we’ve ordered this plenty of times at the Anderson location with no complaints. I give Hop Doddy Round Rock two stars because of the horrible staff, bad design, missing items on menu and disgusting looking queso. I would have given it one star, BUT the burgers and drinks were still on point so I’ll give them that. If I hadn’t ever been to Hop Doddy’s before and the Round Rock location was my first experience I would never go back. I’d rather wait in line for 2 hours at the Anderson location than wait 20 minutes to be disappointed at Round Rock.

First timer at the Round Rock location. Ordered Magic Shroom and The Classic with caramelized onions, and large fries. Excellent food, excellent service!!! Great concept. Will definitely be back.

Visited last night, really excited about trying the burgers. Bartender was incredibly rude so we left without trying anything. Womp. womp.

The amazing food continues at Hopdoddy in Round Rock! Don’t be put off by the long lines; they are totally worth the wait. And while you wait, they pass out food and drink samples to keep the tummy happy. The design and atmosphere of this location is really cool! The staff is super friendly from the minute you walk up. The general manager takes time to greet his customers and make sure everyone is having a great dining experience. My burger of choice is La Bandita(with a turkey patty) and is amazingly delicious. Their truffle fries and queso are awesome and I love that they have Maine Root sodas. Everything is fresh and tastes as such; I’m always sad when I’ve run out of food to eat there. I can’t leave without having their classic vanilla bean shake! I have yet to have a burger or milkshake as delicious as Hopdoddy’s; and I’ve had more than my fair share. The food and service here is more than 5 starts worthy!

Tried this new location last night after a long day at work. The wait was well worth; food did not take long to be served and was excellent. Management team was very kind and well aware of was going on in the restaurant. Do not be intimidated by the line!!! I am definitely coming back soon!

Hopdoddy is amazing and I am so glad ya’ll ventured up north! I’m sure RR will love you as much as I do! Visited the RR location for the first time today and the food was amazing(as always). If you are a first time guest there is always a wait but it’s so worth it. Try the Truffle fries or the Nutella Milkshake, you won’t regret it! The location is perfect because that stretch of 35 is always a parking lot no matter what time of day. Soooo…I can’t really give you guys less than 5* because lets face it once you have a Hopdoddy burger, the cheeseburger will never be the same. And the experience is always awesome! Just some slight feedback and I definitely don’t think this is an indication of things to come since you just opened and it’s a new area, but the service today was a little different than unusual. At the two other Hopdoddy’s in Austin, each table is always greeted by a server, water is refilled, etc. No one came to our table, yet the other tables near us were visited multiple times. We had to flag someone down to check on a drink order, but she never returned.(I’m sure there was a crazy number of shake and cocktail orders, after all it’s 75 degrees in the middle of winter). I’m sure it was just miscommunication and in the end we all left happy and full.

The service was outstanding, friendly, knowledgable and efficient. From telling stories about how certain menu items were conceived to suggesting new items to try like the Ahi Tuna Burger-we were not dissappointed! And, by the way, they make pretty much everything in house, from their buns to their ketchup.

Tried this new local restaurant tonight after having fails next door. I have eaten at others before and was not disappointed with this one. The wait was a bit painful, but being able to order a drink in line worked out ok. The burgers were awesome and the service was tremendous. Yes they were overly friendly, but they also were extremely helpful. I look forward to the day where I don’t have to wait so long in line(reason for 4 star rating) because I really enjoyed my time and meal once I was services. I will be back!

The service at Hopdoddy is outstanding, friendly, knowledgable and efficient. From telling stories about how certain menu items were conceived to suggesting new items to try like the Ahi Tuna Burger. We were not dissappointed! And, by the way, they make pretty much everything in house, from their buns to their ketchup. And it’s no surprise that this burger joint has gained popularity. They have a fine focus on providing the freshest all-natural ingredients to make their menu. They also feature local craft brews unique to each location.

I was off early on Friday and was excited to head out to the Happy Hour. Ordered both of the sliders and expected medium. The sliders came out well done and dry. I also ordered the Little Larry thinking it would be just a smaller version of a frozen margarita. I knew it would be smaller but truly it was the tiniest glass I’ve ever seen. I did complain and they did swap it out for the regular size so it was addressed quickly. On the good note, the truffle fries were fantastic. I will come back again and give it another try.

Honestly, I really hate the service here. This guy with a huge fake smile keep asking if everything is alright. Sure its a nice courtesy to make sure all the customers is satisfied. But I AMTRYINGTOEATMYDAMNBURGER. Stop asking me if everything is alright. Everyone was too nice its obviously not genuine from their heart, I am more offended because I don’t like fake people. If you wan to be a bitch to me that’s fine. I come here for the food anyway. I know, I know, I am one of the very few that doesn’t care about customer service. So go ahead and continue leading customers on thinking the service is amazing. Because that is how business is suppose to run, right? There should be a sign where I could turn on for«Do not disturb». Good burger, by the way.

Waiting in line for over an hour for a Round Rock donut hamburger advertised only to find out there were 36 and sold out in 10 minutes of opening — — not cool. And then not telling those waiting in line — sucks. Next time I’ll bring my own Round Rock donuts.

I have been to hop doddys down on Anderson and Congress a lot and have always had an amazing experience. No matter how long I’ve waited at other locations I have always bragged that it was worth it, but today we tried the new location in round rock and that was not the case. This was the first time I have ever had a bad experience here but I feel this needs to be addressed. I will always wait for hop doddys so the line outside and inside was not a big deal. Today the wait to get our food was ridiculous. After we waiting to order it then took us close to 30 minutes to actually get out food. Which in my opinion is crazy! What was more concerning was the way the manager was treating his people and fellow managers! You can tell something was not going right in the kitchen because there were a lot of burgers ready to go but they were not being taken out. He was obviously upset and was yelling at his people and rolling eyes and making the experience uncomfortable! Lastly I know you have to wear gloves to touch food yet this manager was not doing that… Eww! Y’all have an open kitchen for a reason, and I guarantee that reason isn’t for that to be happening so your customers have the experience that. I run a restaurant and I would never be ok with that. Also I understand how crazy opening a restaurant can be but it’s necessary to have trainers helping the new people out so they are taking care of the product and customers properly. Here, that was not the case. There wasn’t any training happening and it seemed they new people were just trying to figure it out. They lady that took our order was just matter of fact and had no personality and Also looked lost. That is not the hopdoddy a I know. I only gave 2 stars here because as usual the food(once it got to us) was great. Kudos to the hard working cooks back there.

Don’t fall for their promotions. Advertised a round rock donut burger. We got there before they opened, waited in line for an hour only to be told smugly by the staff that they were long gone and sold out shortly after they opened. Why even advertise something like that to only make a few dozen and not even inform the customers waiting outside in the cold that they were all sold out. The food is ok, but this whole experience will have me looking elsewhere for lunch. Very lacking in customer service, thoughtfulness, and realistic expectations of their marketing.

Great burgers and fries. Haven’t had a bad experience ever. You need some patience to get in but it is well worth the wait. I usually get the Diablo with a fried egg and Truffle Fries. To make things better they have Maine Root sodas and their shakes rock

Given that it was the location’s first day and I didn’t get there until 7:45 pm, I thought they did a great job! The line moved quickly, and I really appreciated the heating lamps given the relative coolness of the evening. They even gave out girl scout cookies while we waited(saweeeeet!!!). Everyone was super nice and the food tastes great. My only complaints are the burgers seemed a little small, the line cuts awkwardly between the bar and seating inside, and there is no overhead menu when you get to the front so you forget what all comes on your burger or what the stuff is called. I look forward to going back!

This Hopdoddy is literally 16 minutes from my house. You don’t have to drive to Central or South Austin you say? They have the same incredible menu you say? Well if that didn’t already reel me in. social hour check, dog friendly patio(and free doggy biscuits) check and a wine menu I fancy check! Today was opening day for this shiny new Hopdoddy and it was already hopping. I love the layout and vibe of this new location. The Hopdoddy team is so upbeat and checked in on us to see if we enjoyed our dishes or wanted a refill on drinks, a shout out to Katie. While I have visited the two other Hopdoddy locations in Austin I had yet to try the ahi-tuna burger. Well I can report this menu item is now my new favorite along with the little Larry mini margarita topped proper with a shot of Grand Marnier. I would usually go for a glass of vino but I was happy that I branched out and tried the little Larry. The ahi-tuna burger was a thing of perfection with sushi grade tuna is topped with absolute delisciouness of sauces, crispy nori on a freshly baked bun speared with pickled ginger. I also had a bite of the Classic burger cooked just right and topped with gooey Tillamook cheese, the crazy yummy Parmesan truffle fries and a sip of a delectable shake. They have an awesome social hour which is available Monday-Friday from 3pm-6:30pm with discounted food and drink items. I can’t wait to come back and try their social hour sliders and enjoy an afternoon on their inviting patio with the pup.

Grand opening day and line wasn’t as long as I thought. While waiting, they had heat lamps to keep you semi warm and samples given out every few minutes. If you didn’t get to sample their fries because it was gone by the time they got to you, they give you a cow bell to turn in at the register for free order of fries. Woot woot! We were the lucky ones to get free fries. We were able to order drinks while waiting in line too. We didn’t wait long at all. Service was awesome. Every worker there were extremely friendly and upbeat. Thumbs up to a great vibe! We ordered the truffle fries, kids sliders meal, buffalo burger, shroomburger with an egg, the mule drink, and the blackberry limeade. Our friends had the turkey and prime burgers and they liked it. Everything was tasty and just like the other hopdoddy! Awesome juicy burgers, delicious fries and great drinks!
