We visited with some friends over some very good food, we sat around and smoozed for a couple hours… good food, company and service. My wife enjoyed her mix and match 5 cheese grilled Sammy and French onion soup, I devoured a mix and you know what French dip half Sammy with onions and peppers and a Mimi’s salad with fries. A few of us enjoyed a cuppa cups of jo… not mentioning Roger or my name… we arrived at 12 noon on the dot and we were promptly seated and served, our ex-favorite Tex-Mex place will promptly seat you and forget you.

I was visiting the neighborhood and chose to order online for breakfast. The only downfall is the fact that the food had a set time to be ready. I arrived a few minutes past that time, and still ended up waiting. Besides that, everything was fine and the family enjoyed. I purchased omelettes, orange juice, muffins, and toast. Pretty good.

We came in early evening. Seated right away and server Ginger came right over. The food was very good and portions were more then enough. Considering this restaurant is a part of a chain I would definitely return. Ask for Ginger she is a great server!

Great breakfast this morning. Mimi’s is the only place I have found that serves corn beef hash and eggs for breakfast. It was great and home made

It’s really sad that a restaurant chain cannot have a single vegetarian entrée. Even the salads aren’t vegetarian friendly. Sometimes we get brought to restaurants and don’t want to order pancacks for dinner. that’s the only meal really available and you have to pay so much more not to get meat. It’s just really ridiculous to be in 2016 and not even have a salad on the menu to order as vegetarian.

I’ve lived in the area for a few years but never went to Mimi’s. The only thing I ever heard about it was that it was ‘pricey’. However, while looking for places to celebrate Mother’s Day — Mimi’s Café had the most reasonable all inclusive prices. $ 16.99 for a 3 course meal. And they also offered other Brunch options at various prices, and children could order from a separate menu. GREAT, I thought and made the reservation for 12 people to be seated at 12pm for Mother’s Day. We arrive at 12pm, and the place is PACKED. «Okay…», we all thought to ourselves, «it’s just busy b/c no one else here has reservations, right?!» — wrong. 12:25 rolls around and we ask how long the wait will be since we had a reservation at 12. They told us that they were just now clearing our table. 12:40 rolls around — and we ask how long it will be again — and they then tell us that there are still people sitting at our table and they are«not done yet». Meanwhile, there are tons of cleared tables that can seat 4 – 6 people, and 3 cleared tables that can be setup together to seat us. 1pm rolls around — still waiting(btw trying to keep 3 hungry 4 year olds happy standing in a crowded restaurant entry way on a rainy day for over an hour is no bueno) — we asked them if they could give us some muffins to give to the kids. They gave us 1 muffin to split while we kept on waiting. 1:15pm, we are finally seated. Our waitress gets to us pretty quickly — we order our drinks and then our food. We had a 3 course menu that most of us ordered from. You get an appetizer(soup, salad), an entrée and dessert. Not bad. When our food comes out it either came out appetizer and entrée together or just and entrée and then a while later the appetizer portion came out but that was only after we mentioned that some of us never received the appetizers. Our meals did not all come out at the same time, it took about 10 minutes for everyone at the table to get some sort of food in front of them. One person in our group ordered a certain meal — however, when it was served to them it wasn’t the one that was ordered… they were told.“Sorry, we ran out of the menu item you requested, will you take this instead.” while holding the other option out in front of them, instead of telling them beforehand so they could choose another meal option. Have you ever gone out to eat and you were so hungry that whatever you put in your mouth tasted so damn good — well, that didn’t happen here. The food appetizers and entrees were sub par — some of us felt very jipped. Others thought it was ‘okay’. But after the wait we had we had anticipated more — shame on us. Dessert, however, was pretty fantabulous, it was delicious. Oh, and they were good about drink refills that we didn’t even have to request one. Those were the 2 high points. And one of the people ordered the Birthday Cake — we were told they didn’t have it, so they did a Birthday Cake IOU and gave them 2 other slices of cake for free. The person who didn’t get the right entrée felt very unloved at that moment. Funny, not funny. Besides the wait and the food, the service itself was not great either. Perhaps they were just so busy they didn’t have time to put on a happy face — but then again I’m just assuming — Servers did not know where our plates belonged, some they brought out were for a table behind us and other dishes they brought out belonged to no one. So, we got there at 12, and didn’t wind up leaving until 3:15pm b/c service was THATSLOW. My children fell asleep on our 10 minute ride home — they were exhausted from the day, and so were we. Never going back and I would not recommend this place.

Had breakfast. Eggs Benedict good. Not as good as what I make at home. Wife had the crepes, Swiss and ham. Really cheesy good. Mimosa great with there orange juice. Orange juice good. I’ve had better though. Coffee good and hot had to beg for a refill. When your waitress gets close be ready to ask them for what you need because they are very busy here. To the Mimis management can you at least hire a bus boy to clear tables. You’re servers are very busy. Especially at the prices your charging. After tip a special meal for two was $ 45.00 and we split the mimosa Orange juice and coffee between the two of us. I will give five stars luckily because of my skills at ordering and consuming.

My mom and I attempted to go to lunch here one day. From the moment we entered the door, we got no service. We had to go to someone to get seated. No one greeted us. We finally got seated and then it took forever for someone to serve us. We got up and left. 2 thumbs down

Mimi’s is a hit or miss type of restaurant. Since I’ve moved to the area, I have been a handful of times with my mom and every other visit has had some type of issue. Today was a day with issues. Let me preface that service was EXCELLENT! Our server was awesome! She was kind and took very good care of us, all while working with a broken arm! Regretfully, I did not get her name. The food, eh, not as great as the service. I had the salmon with fries and spinach and my mom ordered a steak, medium rare, with very soft scrambled eggs and corned beef hash. My food came out pretty good, hey, they got me to eat cooked spinach — so kudos to them. But overall, it was a meal I could have cooked for myself — and, admittedly, I’m not a great cook. My mom’s meal in one word — despicable. Her steak originally came out well done and her eggs were hard scrambled. The corned beef hash, she did not find appetizing either. Apparently, they changed the corned beef hash recipe and it was not to her liking. When she received another steak, this one wasn’t just rare, it was RAW! She didn’t even want to send that one back so as not to make a fuss. However, I couldn’t in good conscious allow her to keep that one either. The manager came out and profusely apologized and offered other food items but she was completely turned off by the idea. He provided excellent customer care as well. It’s sad to say, but I don’t think we’ll be going back to Mimi’s anytime soon — if ever.

Rosemari is 5 Stars — Fabulous service and a true joy to experience! The food was yummy, very well made, you definitely pay for the quality. The worn out booths with cracked/missing fabric was quite disappointing for a high dollar establishment. Environment is important — Take some time please to care of your booths your guests are sitting in.

WORSTSERVICEEVER!!! The wait was 40 mins, so we lucked out for a spot at the bar. Maybe we should have waited the 40 mins? After waiting at a table in the bar area for 15 minutes, I finally asked a waitress if there was a server in this area, she pointed to the bartender. Then I asked if she would mind wiping down the table and for 2 glasses of water, the waitress literally rolled her eyes, looked at the bartender who rolled her eyes as well, without ever saying one word to me! This was my first time here, and the LAST! Very rude wait staff!!!

Roaches. When we moved to TX5 years ago, we were so happy to discover this restaurant. The food and service was fantastic. Unfortunately, the menu changes and the staff changes have hit the quality hard. We rarely eat here anymore. We try it every six months or so just in case the owners have a clue to why they aren’t packed with customers anymore, but it appears they haven’t figured it out. Our most recent visit is now officially our final visit. We will never return. It wasn’t bad enough that they were out of food; which has been an issue every time we have visits for the past several visits.(It’s a shot in the dark if they will have what we want.). It isn’t even bad enough that the cook on the meat was rare when it was ordered medium well. It wasn’t bad enough that while there were two waiters and only three tables of guests, we waited almost an hour for our food. I didn’t care that it took twenty minutes for my cup of coffee nor that the coffee was black thick tar; I just drank the water. Nope. We survived all these things on our last visit and we’re just happy that the waitress acknowledged our inconvenience with free muffins. The reason we will not be returning to Mimi’s Café is because of the roach that crawled across the table when the waitress picked up my husband’s plate. Yes. You read this correctly. A ROACH was under my husband’s plate and it crawled across the table when the waitress picked up the plate. That means the container that holds the plates and keeps them warm is infested with roaches. All the plates were probably crawled on by roaches. Who knows what other filth can be found inside that kitchen. Well, we took home the free muffins and shared the buttermilk muffin the next morning only to both get sick to our stomachs and spent the day vomiting. Vomiting from a baked muffin. Even in a not so clean kitchen, a baked muffin should have never made us ill. So, we will NEVER go back. I hope you will reconsider if you are contemplating dining here. Just not worth the risk.

We went to Mimis on Saturday night for the first time in months & am wondering what the hell has happened to the place??? The food took forever to come out & it wasn’t even very busy. We watched the manager apologize to several tables around us who had complained about the long wait times. One family had young children with them who were starving. He asked us if we were ok & we said we were. Only because of our amazing server(the Australian lady.) She constantly refilled our drinks, gave us bread & checked back with us to give us updates on our food. She was deeply apologetic about the delay & genuinely cared about our happiness — something that a lot of servers lack. Her humor & genuine personality is the only reason I’m giving this 4 stars. Otherwise it would be 1 star. I’m wondering if there’s been a management change since mid-last year? Because something’s definitely changed & it’s not for the better… Mimi’s management — your restaurant has gone downhill since we were last there & it’s obvious by your lack of customers. You might want to fix it before it’s too late & you have to close your doors…

I love the Mimi’s on Mopac but we were out in Cedar Park for my daughter’s game and stopped here after. The hostess was very nice, personable and professional. She quoted a 10 – 15 minute wait. Came back in 10 and told us they were getting the table together and it would be a few more minutes and she was going to seat the smaller parties waiting. No problem. I appreciated her keeping us informed! 10 more minutes passed and she came back to seat us. Where she seated us… there was NOONE in the section so I was perplexed why there was a wait. Server took longer to greet us… took drink orders but the hostess served them. When the food came(about 30 mins after we sat down)…we didn’t have syrup for some of the pancake and waffle orders which is high key ridiculous. So there was even more of a wait to get that… We got there at 11… left about 10 mins until 2… I’ve never waited that long at the other location. I’ve never even been in there more than an hour! Idk what they are doing in RR but they should take notes from Mopac.

My mom and I have been here a handful of times and the first time was really good. But every time we have come here after, it has gotten progressively worse. Service is terrible. This past Sunday, our food took an extremely long time to hit our table. The table that was seated after us got their food before us. NOTOKAY. Our coffee was cold before refills came. My mom requested toast a couple of times and she was already done with her food by the time the waitress realized she never received it. The only good about this place is the waffles.

I ended up here again with my parents. My dad got a discount coupon in the mail so we all went to dinner together. Last time I went it was breakfast and service was not consistent. Haha which is consistent during this visit. The service is just lagging. My parents ordered roasted chicken with sides and my hubby and I ordered some apps since we were meeting some friends for drinks. Calamari is so tired and boring but that’s one of things that hubby wanted. This was really terrible. It was soggy and had a weird texture. We also got the meatballs. These were actually pretty decent. I’m pretty sure they were frozen, heat and serve. They came with little mini french breads which was great to eat with sauce. I ordered a salad as well which was probably the best thing out of everything we ordered. Well that and the hot bread they serve when you first sit down. That’s about it. I don’t know why my parents keep coming back. There’s really nothing special about Mimi’s.

It had been many years maybe 10 since I ate at mimis. Last week’s visit reminded me why it had been so long. My sandwich was so bland, so hard to chew and just a skinny piece of chicken. That chicken was cooked to near cremation. :-) Salad looked good but lacked the kick and flavor. Their fries were OK. My friend ordered the Mediterranean salad with chicken but it came without the chicken. Lady didn’t offer to bring it out either after we pointed it out but good thing she took it off the bill. Very disappointed but glad it wasn’t my choice of where to meet up for a lunch.

***I expect to be contacted by a manager if they care at all about any repeat business.*** We had reservations for 15 people at 9:30AM. We were all on time. We were told they were behind a bit and to please be patient. We said OK. Our food came out in waves with mine coming out at 11:15! I took a screen shot for proof if you need it. Oh by the way my order wasn’t what I ordered. I ordered the country ham skillet thing with over easy eggs and got an omelet filled with peppers and onions and 3 pieces of ham.(see pic) We were all highly highly irritated with the incredibly slow service and how parts of our table were done eating — DONE before other parts even got their food. I never got my straw, my toast came after my omelet(that I didn’t order) was halfway done. There were gnats or some smaller than fly things landing on our kids food and the piece de resistance was in hear the waitress tell the table behind us(who came after us, who had 8 people) that because of the delay their meal was on the house. We got no courtesy and she said it loudly enough for our table to hear. Worst worst birthday party ever. F– for Mimis.
