This place is iconic in Ruston and Shreveport. Depending on what college students are working usually determines service and integrity of the meal. For new comers at Counter Culture, do yourself a favor and try the plain yogurt, or a Humphrey Yogart. You will become addicted!

Great sandwiches and salads here. Wish we had tried the yogurt! Service was good too. B sure to try the pimento cheese sandwich

Three of us, and all were supremely satisfied with our sandwiches. The others in my party raved about the bread(wheat, and jalapeño breads). I had the muffaletta(sans olive spread), and it was great. It’s right by the railroad tracks, so you’ll have to pause your conversations when the train whizzes by, but that is a minor inconvenience when the food is so good.

There are 3 things you need to know before you eat at Counter Culture. #1: Their signature dish is the Humphrey, a blend of granola, honey, fresh fruit, cultured yogurt, and other good stuff. #2: The Humphrey is expensive. #3: The Humphrey is delicious! There are a variety of other yogurt based treats to try, as well as a few entrees, all at about a medium price range, and all worth the trip. I cannot emphasize this enough. Stop by one day and try a Humphrey! You won’t be disappointed!
