If there is an irritating fact of life that I have with ALL TECH, it’s the «proprietary» nature of such tech. Parts are not as interchangeable as you would like, whether they be power cords or sync-​cables, etc. [WTF? Even WITHIN a branding I can’t use my iPhone 4s sync-​cable with my new iPhone 6s? *jesus wept*]
What this usually translates to for a customer who doesn’t consider other options is going back to the manufacturer to buy replacement/​substitute items — AND AT HIGH RETAIL COST.
THE SETUP
What I love about outfits like Computer Recycle Center and Repair is that they have economical solutions to these sorts of problems, either by having used-​items in their inventory or by tapping into the alternative market for similar items.
PROBLEM SOLVED
Instead of having to buy a NEW Dell power cord for my Dell Inspiron at a cost of $ 75 (and a 2 – 3 week delivery time), I found a replacement power cord with the necessary specs from an alternative manufacturer for $ 17 ON-​SITE. I call THAT a total win!
OTHER DILEMMAS
These folks are also great with good «sounding-​board» advice — for example, what are some of the best malware anti-​virus programs for your system/​hardware configuration, what’s a good system clean-​up maintenance program, do you need to expand your cache memory, can your system support gaming graphics (mine doesn’t, so I need a new computer eventually) etc. etc.
THE LOWDOWN
If you are looking for a less-​costly — and possibly time-​saving (and non-​frustrating) solution to your tech problem, come check these folks out. Chances are good they will be able to provide a solution.

Really great experience! I was a bit hesitant because of the few reviews that existed, BUT all 3 reviews that existed were a 5 star so I gave them a shot. I am SO happy I did. Ivan is super friendly (so is his little chug dog :-)). I dropped my malware/​spyware/​virus infested laptop off to him on Friday late morning and picked it up the next day (Saturday afternoon) malware/​spyware/​virus FREE! I hope I don’t have any more issues like this, but if I do I will definitely call him again! It’s cool to see that the company recycles older model electronics and fixes them up to donate to local charities too.

My first time writing a review on Unilocal but Ivan was very helpful. Fixed my tower for a very reasonable price which was running very slow due to a virus (es) as well as diagnosed my laptop for free. My laptop had been dead for almost two years. He replaced my hard drive and battery, now it is running like brand new. He is fast and offers customers a great experience. I recommend him to anyone having computer issues.
