Espresso Bar

Do you like good service? A smile on the faces of the people serving you. How about a strong coffe. Are you at Arden mall? Definitely check this place out. We were more than happy with this little coffee shop in the mall.

Located on the left entrance side, first floor of Nordstrom.
They have almond, soy, coconut, and regular milks. You can find a little stand with their drink menu with signature drinks like their Honey Almond Latte, Almond Roca Latte, Green Tea Cooler. They have snacks, pastries, ready-​made foods to grab and go.
The baristas have been super nice. Getting a drink can be a wait sometimes but it hasn’t disappointed me yet.
Have cash to put money in the tip jar.

Wanted to try something different besides the usual starbucks i saw sign that had a pic of a blended drink and said mexican mocha ice storm, OMG fucking BOMB! the cashiers were kinda snobbish but man the drink was great and they actually spelled my name right but i accidentally smeared my name with my hand. Who the fuck uses erasable pens to write names on cups? Lol dummies.

I normally come to this place to get lunch or water and the service is okay. Most of the time there’s 2 to 4 people working and they don’t seem happy, except when they’re talking to each other or to someone they know. Reading the pervious reviews, everyone seemed to like this place but the reviews were a year ago. Must be new hires to start getting bad reviews. I should know, I also work in customer service. I purchased a salad today with 2 free waters. The cashier didn’t even offer me a fork!!! I had to ask for one! When I received my waters, no carrier was offered… again I had to ask for one. Mind you I had my phone in my hand, my salad and dressing… no bag was offer as well. When asking for a fork, and a carrier it was like asking for the world. I felt really uncomfortable and it bothered me the whole time I was eating my salad. Sad to say I will never get lunch or water from here again.
Here’s a tip… If you don’t like your job or dealing with customers then quit.

They took a very long to make my drinks even with five workers there. All just gossiping the whole time, not paying much attention to the guests :/

Great coffee… amazing baristas! Even though there are 2 or 3 that work at a time, they are always super fast!
I love that they try to remember my name when I come by and they always remember what I order!
I chose these guys over the Starbucks in this mall any day!

They have the most awesome bagels here. Also their ready made things are pretty delicious. I wish they had a microwave or warmer for their ham and swiss croissants. They def make better coffee than starbucks but I don’t really drink coffee anymore. They use the mighty tea leaf teas which is one of my favorite teas. I love the orange dulce and the lemon chamomile.
Try a orange pineapple spritzer or a sparkling pom lemonade.

Way too much foam on this cappuccino. As previous reviewer stated, the espresso is way too bitter. Makes Starbucks seem smooth. Had high hopes for this place. Poser espresso bar at best…

Their iced coffee is so fragrant, it’s been awhile since I had a decent cup of coffee.
I love going to Nordstrom and their coffee is the perfect match when shopping.
It’s usually crowded, but all of the baristas work quickly and I was able to get my drink fairly quickly. The baristas are super friendly and go out of their way to spark conversation.
I love the aroma, I love the customer service. I’ll choose this over the nearby Starbucks any day!

My girlfriend got me going with going to the Espresso Bar at Nordstrom in Arden Fair Mall. I’m always open to new things but Starbucks served a drink a liked a lot which I didn’t think The Espresso Bar could make exactly like Starbucks made it. I got an Iced Americano and it was tasty. One huge difference I noticed was that I could actually taste the coffee rather than the coffee being drowned out by syrups and sugars… the very thing that drowns out Starbucks coffee. The service is beyond expectation and not to mention the other drinks like a Pomegranate Iced Tea are excellent as well. One thing I love about The Espresso Bar is it’s wide variety of freshly made pastries and bagels as well as their yogurt parfaits and stuffed crescents. I could go on all day about the menu items but moral of the story is that they are doing something right to constantly have repeat customers and people crowding their line. I’d like to say that I traded in Starbucks for The Espresso Bar for numerous reasons, some of those wouldn’t be fair to Starbucks as a company but hey, life isn’t fair right? To put it shortly, I won’t have to worry about waiting my entire lunch while at work to get coffee. Attentiveness is the key with any business and when you lose sight of that, you’ve lost sight of the overall goal

This little bar-​ette churns out the best drinks and the customer service is consistently on point no matter how many mall walkers are in line. I tend to gravitate toward their storm drinks, and the mocha banana storm is SO effin good. Pair that with a huge slice of coffee cake and you can handle 4 more hours of non stop shopping with no problem. My friend loves their shortbread cookies, which I’m not really a fan of, but they’re quite popular.

I am coming to the conclusion that in California, you can get a good margarita but not a good cup of coffee– you need to go to New England and the Pacific Northwest for that. BUT I have found joy in the fact that I have finally found a good cup of coffee in Sacramento. Their coffee does not taste watered down or burnt much like Starbucks and Peet’s.It has a rich, smooth, velvety taste that coffee SHOULD have ! Love their house coffee and their Caramel Macchiato is to die for ! I have tried their cookies which were good but not great (Plutos are better). When you are at the mall or Galleria you should skip the lines at Starbucks and go to the Nordstrom Espresso Bar, you wont be disappointed !

I’m not being biased because I work at Nordstrom, but everyone who works at the E-​bar are #totesamaze. They always greet me by my name with a huge smile. They always seem to remember exactly what I want, considering the fact that I get the same thing every time, but they always do a wonderful job. I don’t think I would be able to make it entirely through my day without them. Not only are the beverages great, but the treats are TDF. I’m obsessed with the coffee cake, it’s like a lemon poppy seed cake with blue berries or something like that; you have to try it. I HEART you eebs!!!

I love Nordstrom E-​Bar! They make the best coffee ever & they also have really yummy snacks. The staff here is super nice. Definitely recommend checking it out.

A nice break from the coffee norm of Starbucks, Peet’s or what have you. Their drinks are all rich with flavor but are not as sweet as Starbucks drinks. This is my first choice for coffee of I’m at the mall and this café is open.
Another positive is they don’t seem to keep increasing their drink prices like Starbucks does. Every year SB seems to bamboozle us for another 15 – 25 cents per drink, but people line up like cattle to pay them money. Take a break from the SB habit and check this place out!

Mocha Chip Ice Storm!!! Heaven SENT!
I love SB, but they don’t have a drink that taste as good as this on their menu for when you are craving a mouthful of yummy icy goodness. Pricey, but worth it.

I go for the bagels mostly. I usually get the garlic bagel which has melted cheese on top with whole garlic cloves stuffed in the bagels hole. You’ll definitely need to make sure you’ve got a good piece of gum to chew on after you finish this bagel.
You have your choice of some other delicious bagels as well: jalapeño, asiago with a tomato baked on top, pizza, and some other boring flavors that no one cares about :)
You can also choose from plain cream cheese, garden vegetable cream cheese, or butter. Go with the garden vegetable you won’t regret it.
Everyone that works at the E-​Bar is super friendly and always a pleasure to chat with while waiting for the all important bagel to toast.
I drink coffee daily, but am not a connoisseur by any means. I order a large drip coffee of whatever is the freshest and it always taste good to me.
I also enjoy sneaking in and taking a look at handbags on my way back up to work, awesome perk of going to the E-​Bar!

They are right outside the first floor Nordstrom entrance in the mall. The coffee is bitter and not particularly cheap. Have not had the urge to try the pricier blended beverages because the normal coffee beverage was so disappointing.
Pastries are stale and overpriced. Starbucks is cheaper and has more varieties though this is the BIGGEST $ 2 bagel I have ever seen.
An employee told me that the coffee she makes at home is better than the coffee they serve here. She can make her coffee taste like the EBar but she still has not yet been able to make the coffee taste like Starbucks so until then, she goes to Starbucks.
Why go here at all? They have free (tap) water and cups which quenches simple thirst. They are close to Nordstrom in case you can’t spare a minute shopping but NEED YOUR CAFFEINE fix. There are tables outside to sit and relax, enjoy the free AC on scorching hot days and they don’t require a purchase.
