Does anyone one why this place suddenly closed? It just suddenly closed without any warning.

This is your average Filipino restaurant. As a go to Filipino food place, I can see people coming here if there are no options. Customer service is good. They are welcoming and good with kids. They have a lot of options for food as well. Well, they have buffet or to go. Price is not too bad. 9.98 for the buffet. This would be on point if the food was a lot better. The place is in a plaza. It is open inside and has a tv in there as well. It also looks like they have karaōke. I love karaōke. Lol Let’s just talk about the food now. I got a tray to go but ate there. I got the pancit canton, beef with mushroom, chicken adobo, dinuguan, and garlic rice. Everything is over salted. That’s a big no-no if that’s is all your flavor. Pancit tasted like soy sauce noodles. I could not taste any other ingredients or vegetables in that dish. Chicken adobo had no flavor of vinegar or soy sauce and was very oily. Oil or fat was all that you could taste in the dish. The chicken tenderness was 5.5÷10. Dinuguan was way too salty and the pork was way too rough for my liking. The beef with mushrooms were the least bad. At least it wasn’t overly salted. And the garlic rice was the only good part of my dish. Meaning there was nothing wrong with it. If you’re looking for some really good Filipino food this is not the place. If you’re looking for regular Filipino food to fill you up then, yeah, this place is for you. Food is just too underwhelming for me to give this place 3 stars.

The best filipino buffet in town, very delicious and tasty! Love the fish kilawin and the fruit salad a home made chef special! The place is very clean. Chef Rizza is the best! «Chicharron» a must try!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon by myself. Food: Good variety of filipino food. Unfortunately I’m not too familiar with the dishes but they each tasted good. I would expect more variety but there was only 1 row full. But for the price, not bad. There were some soup dishes, entrees, and 2 desserts. Place: Very homely, cozy. There is one TV that has the filipino channels and setup for karaōke. For this buffet you have to have pay before you eat. Plenty of seating and very family friend. Overall: I would come back with more people and craving for filipino food. I had three plates.

I’ve been twice for the breakfast/lunch, both times with my family from out of town. I can’t call it «brunch» since they don’t serve alcohol(mimosa availability is what defines brunch for me-LOL). I guess my family likes to try someone else’s cooking for Filipino food other than their own, but no one beats my mom’s cooking(except maybe my Auntie!). But for $ 10 per person, they have a great selection varying from longanisa(Filipino sweet sausage) to pancit palabok(thick rice noodles with shrimp sauce) to kare kare(peanut butter oxtail soup). Don’t expect the menu to be the same though. I think it varies everyday, which is fine with me since I like to try different things. So if you have your heart set on pork adobo, you might be disappointed that it’s not in one of the serving trays when you go. It’s pretty much self-service. Water dispenser, cups, canned sodas, napkins, silverware, and condiments are all up at the buffet station. And if they are super busy, like during my last visit(where the hell did those 2 dozen young men with huge appetites come from!!!), your used plates will start stacking up due to the lack of staff, and they might run out of rice, due to those 2 dozen young men with huge appetites. I can’t knock the staff though. They are so genuinely kind, friendly, and very hard-working. It really feels like they invited me to their house for a home cooked meal. They’ve got Lola(grandma) in the back cooking up a storm! Some dishes are better than others, and some items I’d prefer served hotter, but overall, if you’re looking to try authentic Filipino food, Sari Sari is a good choice in Sacramento.

It was ok, having been a previous good day sacramento lumpia winner their lumpia tasted like chemicals. Food had been sitting out for a while and the older lady working told us we had used enough sauce…

Good place for a super casual but yummy lunch under $ 10. Thanks for not charging my kids too! U guys know how to speak to the frugalness in me! LOVED the kare kare! Especially with the bagoong. WIthout it it’s bland, as I believe it traditionally should be. LOVED the pinakbet. SOGOOD! I dunno, maybe it’s from a different region, the style of cooking that is, but I haven’t had it this way. Amazing! LOVED the pinpaitan(beef & tripe) The soupy part was super tasty! Hubbys fave dish here. Service is good. Lady is super Mama-ish. I heart the sweet lady cook who called me «Babe»(I am a sucker for sweet talkers) that gave me kamatis(tomato) when I asked for it. She gets 5 stars just for her sweetness & that little gesture, even though she is busy cooking and wiping up a storm. The place was well lit, spacious can accomodate maybe 50 ppl and seemed clean. There were about 16 dishes on the buffet line that vary by day. But I have seen pancit, adobo, spaghetti, tinola, sinigang, nilaga, daing na bangus, pinapaitan, kare kare, mango salsa, baked eggplant. and more. My favorites. Sinigang was good, kare kare very good, pinakbet very good. Loved the suka, & steamed rice option. Cost is actually $ 9.99, not $ 8.99 as someone else stated. Super great lunch! Would def go again! In fact I wanna go today & I was just there last week! Nearby Kaiser South Sac.

My friends and I were trying to find a place to eat at and we decided to try something new. Filipino buffet it was. I didn’t even there was a Filipino Buffet near Big Lots. The employees were friendly. Food was decent. It’s kinda similar to Vietnamese food. The veggie lumpia was my fave. Oh yeah the Balitang America reporters was also there and interviewed my friends on the Ebola situation thang. Pretty cool.

Lechon at it best! After a very bad experience two years agoat another restaurant I was hesitant to get my Whole Lechon from a new restaurant for my luau. I went in and talk to Riza and she assured me that she can get one and promised it would be good. She said that she sell about 5 per week and have not had any issues. I told her I wanted Nice golden crunchy skin and tender meat inside. Boy was she right! This pig was perfect! Nice size, perfect shape and oh so good. To my surprise it was stuffed with Lemon grass onions that gave it great flavor! I cant thank her enough for hooking me up with such a great product! Take it fro a food guy. Get your lechon from Sari Sari and I promise you it will be done right! Thank you so much Riza! Ps. I was lucky enough to have it delivered to. They cooked it very close to my home and they just dropped it off on the way to the restaurant! That made it even better!
