Sidewalk Pizza

What can I say I think we are lifers to this place. The only other place I think is really good but is really no comparison is Zeldas. We get a pizza pie from here at least once a week. Thank God we have sidewalks. Can you believe that used to be more than one in Sacramento.

Love this pizza place it’s been my favorite pizza since the 90s! Used to live I the area but now live in Woodland and my brothers and I still drive the distance for this pizza! And of course I always get a pizza to go :)

Came on a Thursday night around 9pm by myself. One other group was there.
Location:
Nice chill place, pretty spacious. There is a section towards the end away from the entrance used for group parties. Near the bathrooms there is 1 vending machine and 1 arcade game (racing). 2 Flat screen TVs, ESPN was on. Though the time and place was not really peak, the other customers that were there seemed like regulars. If you are new to the area and restaurant you might be a little intimidated by the customers since they seem a little ghetto, but friendly. Again, I am a factoring the time I came in too.
Food:
I ordered a small vegetarian pizza. They said it would take about 10 minutes, and it did. Fresh ingredients and hot from the oven. Good ratio of cheese to crust, and toppings was generous proportion.
Overall:
Would not mind coming back again. Would like to try their pizza buffet to try a variety of pizzas.

I’ve been going to this place for a couple of years. The staff is professional and courteous. The Lunch Buffet is very good and priced very well.
It’s a great place to watch sports and enjoy pleasant conversation with many there. Yes, the pizza is 5-​stars. The owner is not giving his secret sauce recipe. :-) You just got to try it. Awesome!

one of the best pizza places i’ve been to in my life. the staff is very personable. they’re very nice, the food was great and filling flavor was very old world made me feel like I was in Italy itself. lastly great beer selection. if you haven’t been it’s a must go.

Great little pizza place in the hood. Guys are always nice and friendly even over the phone, (we do a lot of «delivery» !) Prices are pretty awesome and soooo reasonable for the quality.
Hubby loves the thin crust and it is SO thin and crispy! Wish he loved pizza as much as I do so that I could order it out more often. :)

love coming here with my children. staff is friendly and pizza taste great! I was able to call and put in my order for dine in which I was very happy about.

Not too bad of a place to have pizza that differ from the normal of pizza guys or pizza huts. Very nice and crispy

Good price for the lunch buffet, good pizza and the owner is a real nice guy. I recommend the thick crust pizza.

This restaurant is connected to the old Sidewalk Pizza on J Street. It has been open for over 25 years. I was here in the early 90’s, but I had completely forgot about this location. They have the same menu as J Street and the same pizza! I went here for lunch two days in a row, ordering a small pizza each day. It was like traveling in a time warp, although I had not eaten Sidewalk Pizza in 20 years, I instantly remembered the crust and the sauce. I loved the pizza, it is hard for me to judge it impartially because of the nostalgia factor. Good pizza, good price, and friendly service. They also have a lunch buffet Monday through Friday, just like the J Street used to have. I think that because this restaurant is located out in South Sacramento that most people who frequented the J Street location are unaware of this location.

I love Sidewalk Pizza. They deliver timely. Their pizzas are fantastic and the ee’s are great. What would we do without Sidewalk Pizza? Been going there for years… enjoy!

The four stars are well earned. Not just for making an original and overall exceptional pizza but for doing it dutifully farther back than I can remember. I real south sac old school pizza joint.
Like you I have had many a pizza. This is in the top 3 Sacramento. You’ll have to taste for yourself but i’ll tell you that the dough has really good fermented pizza dough flavor. The rest of the ingredients are notably fresh and consistent. The sandwiches are good too.
Drive across town and give it a try, you’ll be glad you did.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the pizza here! They are fast and the food is great. They also have fantastic breadsticks and lasagna! We eat here all the time.

This is the best pizza in the history of pizza. THE. BEST.

Hosted a big family party here after my sister’s wedding rehearsal and it was great! They divide the back of the restaurant to give a bit of privacy and there’s a big tv to watch sports. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Pizza came out often and quickly. We ordered A LOT.
My favorite pizza was the All Meat Supreme. If you love meat then order this! They also have a salad bar and beer on tap.

This is def our neighborhood joint! We have been coming here for over 20 years and even though I no longer live in the neighborhood, I make the drive to come eat at our favorite pizza spot! The prices are great and the regulars are friendly. My spot!

We have been going to our favorite pizza joint Sidewalk for over 15 years! We no longer live in the area but anytime I’m in the area I come here!

Great pizza cold beer my new pizza parlor, gonna have to check out the football specials Sunday and Monday.

Drove by here plenty of times and finally tried their pizza. The sauce actually has tomato taste and their pepperoni isn’t full of fat juices like the big franchises. Ate half a pizza and did not feel groggy and fat as with other places. Very satisfied!

I’m from Fresno and down there Me N Ed’s is the best around and this is the closest thing to it and it’s phenomenal! The original crust is cracker thin and amazing, I probably get a pizza 5x a month at least! This is the only location but worth the drive no matter where you’re coming from.
The guys are all really cool, and it’s a nice casual family friendly vibe if you dine in, great for sports games! Nice salad bar, good beer, some games for the kids. I have tried every place in the area, none come close to Sidewalk!
