Fantastic food, wonderful hospitality by the owner. We loved the chicken Parmesan plate and sandwich, graham cracker cake, beef meatballs, chicken wrap. Every dish was a hit.

Great Italian style pizza & sandwiches Non better in St Louis or as a matter of fact in Italy from our experience. Friendly attentive service No pretense. Just outstanding food, value and service. Inexpensive. Many new , media hyped, pretentious upscale Resturants could learn a lot here. Wish they were closer to CLAYTON, the area could use this type of casual neighborhood restaurant.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you restaurant. To everyone else in the business: take notes. Corner Bistro should be a case study in business/restaurant school. You should have to do a 10 page paper and presentation detailing what you’ve learned before opening your own place. Let’s start with the menu. It’s perfect. They limit the options while still offering a wide variety of popular items. They don’t go crazy like some places and put sushi, duck confit, egg rolls, and pop rocks under«Chef’s Favorites». They have a plan. They stick to what they do well: pizza, apps, sandwiches, pasta, & dessert. And no weird«artisan» stuff either. No lamb and lobster pizzas or vegan burgers. Seriously vegans, just give up if you need a burger that bad. Next, the brick and mortar. The outside patio and inside are a bit small but they are clean and quaint. They don’t pack in as many tables as possible and make you feel uncomfortable. I think we’d all prefer not to sit elbow to elbow with some hipster with a man bun and glasses without lenses talking about his favorite beard creams, whatever the hell that is. Lastly, the food. Everything lived up to my expectations. I had a pizza from Pizzeria Tivoli the night before. It was very good. I had a slice of my friend’s Bistro buffalo chicken pizza. It blew Tivoli’s pizza out of the water! I felt great shame for not coming here the night before to get my pizza. I also had the ½ pound bistro bacon burger. I bet by now you can guess I loved it. I will add the wings were small but they were tasty. Another friend got the bruschetta. I didn’t have any because that is healthy. Gross. She liked it, though. The best part? The waitress! Who may have been the owner. Such a wonderful woman! I don’t know why but she gave us a free slice of graham cracker cake at the end. And you know what? It was one of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten!!! I want the recipe but I’d be afraid that I’d bake and eat that cake every day and balloon up to 800 pounds. Most people have deep regret about something from their past. Maybe about not asking that cute girl or guy out. Or not switching to a different career. My deepest regret is not coming here sooner. It has been in my sights for so long but I just never pulled the trigger. So many wasted meals elsewhere.

I just love this place! The food is always excellent. Last time I got the pizza(half Buffalo Chicken and the other half Margherita) which was excellent. The BF got the Chicken Parmigiana and enjoyed it, but agreed my pizza was even better. We ordered a bottle of wine and she presented it very nicely and in a VERYCOLD container — just like we like it. The owner is so, so, so very sweet. We will definitely be back!

Small mom and pop business. About 8 tables inside and a patio out front with maybe 5 more tables. Seat yourself and then menus and water will be brought to you. There were quite a few people walking in to pick up to go orders, so you may have to wait to give your order since there only seems to be one person in the front, and one person cooking. Food was still brought out in a reasonable amount of time and she was on top of refills for water/soda. I read reviews about the pizza and had to try it. Had the buffalo chicken pizza drizzled with ranch sauce and it was perfection! Crust was wonderfully baked, just crispy enough. My sister ordered the chick parm pasta– chicken was great but the pasta sauce was watery and flavorless. Order the chick parm sandwich instead. Husband ordered the burger and had no complaints. Served with fries– nothing special but they sure hit the spot. Glad this place is close to home and that take out is an option. Always nice to have home-cooked style meals at an affordable price.

Corner Bistro is a quaint spot that sits inconspicuously in a residential neighborhood. If you’re looking for a modest, no-frills Italian-American restaurant, then you’ve come to the right place. The owner boasts of a chicken parmigiana that is always fresh and never frozen. Their portions are generous, so the chicken parmigiana is enough to feed two. My husband could not get over how every bite is so moist. It’s difficult to find an all-beef lasagna, but they have it here! There is a perfect ratio of cheesiness, beef, sauce and Italian herbs. Also, they take their toasted ravioli seriously in St. Louis and it is superb! Do not come here without ordering the graham cracker cake, drizzled with honey. I tried to share it with my husband, but after one bite it was all mine! The service here makes you feel like going to your best friend’s house for a dinner. Believe me, you will not be disappointed!

I come here with friends and family at least once a month and sometimes more and I’m telling you the best buffalo chicken pizza, Margarita, and cheese pizza I have EVER had in STL I couldn’t say how good and awesome place this is! I also love the dessert here the Graham cracker cake is best tasting mouthwatering cake! I always get that even if I’m full I’ll have a slice to go please! I would recommended this to anyone who wants great friendly staff with delicious food!

I cannot believe that I have not written a review for Corner Bistro — I’ve eaten here so many times that I have almost experienced the entire menu. I guess I thought all the pictures that I have posted, were my review. After all, they do say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Since I’ve eaten here multiple times, I am just going to list some of my favorites: Bistro Burger — A hand pressed burger, topped with Applewood crisp bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and what I can only assume is a secret Bosnian spice. The flavor is unique and makes the burger stand out from a typical American hamburger. It was served with crispy fries and a little cup of ketchup. Spicy Chicken Wings — Ooey Gooey Spicy sauce covered the entire wings. Finger licking good and good thing they have paper napkins over linen, because you need to use serval to keep fingers clean. Ham & Cheese Panini — Puts Panera Bread to shame. Thinly sliced ham, smoked cheese, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a Ciabatta bread. The sandwich is crisply toasted on the outside and the ingredients on the inside are piping hot. A side of crispy fries makes this a winning combination. Their pizzas are some of the best in STL. You’ll be surprised how tasty they are and they do not use provel. Chicken & Mushroom — Freshly sliced mushrooms and diced white meat chicken. Meat Lovers — Hamburger, pepperoni and bacon. The perfect combo of meat. Buffalo Chicken —(My favorite) A zesty cheese pizza topped with chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and drizzled with ranch dressing and more buffalo sauce. Totally different and worth the experience. I also give a thumbs up to the house salad and Bruschetta. I’ve dined in and I’ve called ahead for carry-out and every time I have been pleased with my meals. The service at times can be slow, but that has never bothered me, because the food is that damn good. The dining room inside is small, but when the weather is good the patio almost doubles the amount of tables available. I want this place to continue to succeed, so I recommend it to all pizza lovers. I just hope it doesn’t get so popular that I cannot get in to enjoy one myself.

Corner Bistro is a simple concept delivering high quality food. I have visited on several occasions and tried several items, and have been equally impressed on each occasion. As far as the food goes here the menu mostly focuses on pizza, calzones, sandwiches, wings, and some pasta dishes. So far I have tried the Meat Lovers Pizza, which was amazing. While I couldn’t see a wood fire stove, I would have to guess that the pizza was prepared in a similar way. The crust was light and the pepperoni had a slight kick to it but wasn’t overpowering, overall this was a solid choice for a quality pizza. On another visit I went with the Chicken Parmesan, which was just as good as the pizza. The chicken was of the perfect thickness and fried up perfectly. The sauce was slightly sweet and it all paired together wonderfully. The atmosphere here is very casual, with limited seating inside plus several tables outside. There is usually 1 – 2 employees working the front so you are always taken care of. The service here is great, in fact the first visit was the restaurants two year anniversary and the table was brought a piece of Graham Cracker Cake, which I have to admit was simply amazing. I highly recommend trying this on your visit, you can thank me later. Parking is limited to the neighboring residential streets, however I never had a problem finding a spot. Overall this is a solid choice for a casual quality dinner in South City.

This was my fourth or fifth visit to the Corner Bistro in last year or so, and all I can say is that this place is beyond great! We had a group of 6 people stop by and try their food. We started with toasted ravioli for appetizers, followed by 2 buffalo chicken pizzas, 1 margherita pizza, and topped everything with 2 graham cracker cakes, and 2 chocolate cream cakes. Food we ordered was more than enough for all of us to eat and be really full. Toasted ravioli were to die for. Perfectly made and topped with great homemade sauce that complimented ravioli nicely. Since I have been here before, I had set expectations for my all time favorite buffalo chicken pizza, and I was not disappointed. Pizza was made to perfection and it was as delicious as ever. I had margherita for the first time and it was really good, even though I am not a big fan of pizza with no meat. People at my table who prefered no meat were ecstatic about this one. Again, this one was baked to perfection. Desserts…oh desserts! Although, I was trying really hard to mark one of the two as my favorite, there is just no way that I can do that. If you love desserts that are not too sweet but just perfect you have to try graham cracker cake or chocolate cream cake, or perhaps both. So light, yet delicious, and really big. We had 2 graham, and 2 chocolate cake pieces for 6 of us and we had some left overs. 1 piece of cake is too big for one person so you may have some left overs to take home. Place was packed when we went yet service remained consistent without much of a wait time. This is your perfect neighborhood place that is well deserving of it’s city wide status as a go to place for good food. Highly recommended!

This is a two person operation. One partner works in the back doing the cooking and the other owner works the front of the house. Both are from Bosnia. What is interesting is they do not serve Bosnian food. They serve Paninis, hamburgers, and pizza. I ordered the Bistro burger. This burger was served on a super fresh bun with all the toppings. It was fried on a grill and tasted perfect. The burger came with an order of French fries. Mrs. K.(my Mrs. K.) ordered a pepperoni pizza. This pizza was served neopolitan style. What makes this pizza special is the dough is made from scratch, cooked in a wood fired oven, and served hot. The other Mrs. K.(Chip K’s) ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. Made the same way as the pepperoni pizza. There was a light drizzle of ranch dressing on top. Never tasted a buffalo pizza before and it was mighty fine pizza. What makes this 5 stars is the food is solid, the service was somewhat slow but remember only one person working and the price was amazing. All the food we ordered including an appetizer was $ 59.00 before tip. This included soft drinks. Crazy great pricing. I would so come back again and try some other items on the menu that caught my attention such as the meatball sandwich. Parking can be a bit of a problem as only street parking is available.

Really small place. 10 tables and a little bar. The waitress is also the owner I think. She was really great. We have toasted ravs, pizza and lasagna. Honestly some of the best pizza I have ever had. All so good.

I had passed by this joint a couple times and always said to myself that I would stop in and see what’s up inside. I finally had one of those nights where I couldn’t pin down what I wanted but I wanted times eat out so me and my companion headed out to the corner bistro. it looked divey from the Macklind side view point, but in my experience that turns out to be a good omen more often than not. So we sat down and were immediately greeted friendly. There appeared to be many regulars, as the waitress/waiters had conversations about previous visits with the other patrons. My companion is a big coffee drinker and she ordered the Turkish coffee and the meatball sub. I ordered the burger. When my companion received her coffee she immediately remarked the platter presentation. She tried it and it said it was literally the best coffee she’s had in Saint Louis(and she’s tough to please in terms of coffee). The meatball sub was tender and very tasty(I would have ordered toasted bread though). THEBURGERWASPHENOMENAL, seasoned perfectly with great meat and melty cheese. Fries were cooked perfectly. We also tried the nutella crepes after overhearing a regular order it.(Plus they were out of the chocolate cake). They were tasty! Service 5⁄5. Food 5⁄5. Enviroment 4⁄5

The good here is really good. Love the owner/server, the pizza is fantastic and the desserts were absolutely awesome. We’re fans. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be back until spring. When you walk in the door, you get a whiff of smoke. I’m guessing it seeps over from the bar next door, which has a warning sign at the door: «This is a smoking establishment» or something to that effect. I really don’t see us sitting inside. Maybe a smoke-eater would help? I don’t know. All I know is we sat outside, which today would not be an option. Another downer for me was the wings. They were tiny and just fair at best. My daughter ordered them and she thought they were okay. The fries that came with them were great — super high quality. We also loved the pizza. The crust is not thin, but not dense either and surprisingly light. We had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza that I think cost $ 11 and was about enough for three, so a great deal, too. For dessert, we tried their chocolate cake. Really good, so much so that our daughter declared she wants on for her birthday. We had a long discussion with the owner about the dessert options and she surprised us with a piece of another dessert she said was her favorite. It was made from Nutella and graham crackers, as I recall. Both desserts were excellent, but the second one was better. If we lived closer, I’m sure we’d come back for carry-out pizza. Several people came and went with carry-out while we were there. This is a nice little neighborhood place I’d like to support, and we will. In the spring when we can sit outside again.

I finally made it out to Corner Bistro. Which, if you didn’t know, is one of the top 25 most highly rated restaurants on Unilocal for 2015. So of course I need to try it out and see what all the love is about! It’s a small mom and pop joint in an underrated area of town. They have a small handful of tables and probably seat about 20 – 30. We stopped by on a Friday night and put in a take out order that probably took about 15 minutes to fulfill for two people. While waiting for our order we were oogling over how delicious their homemade cake looked and the owner cut us a slice for free while we were waiting. Who does that? Seriously, we need more people like her in this world If you want to make people happy you give them free chocolate cake. I tipped on my carry out order for that gesture. Back to the food, for our meal we split a Margherita Pizza and their meatball sandwich. Both were fantastic. The pizza’s crust was perfectly cooked and was seasoned with delicious garlic and spices. The star of our meal was the meatball sandwich. The meat and the sauce was seriously fantastic. I haven’t had a meatball sandwich that tasty in quite some time. I’ll for sure be back to explore more of their tasty menu.

We picked this place because it was the highest rated pizza place in the area on Unilocal. It was rated 5 stars and we both completely agreed! It’s cute. Patio tables are very nice. Weird location surrounded by housing but allowed for lots of people watching. The person waiting on us(the owner maybe?) was quite possibly the sweetest lady we’ve ever met. The service was quick, fantastic, and very friendly. Now the good stuff — the food! The bruschetta was big, covered in cheese, and delicious. We got the meat lovers pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza. The crust on these pizza is sooooo good. The buffalo chicken pizza was the best I’ve ever had. We both highly recommend this place!

I have found the best pizza place in Saint Louis(for real this time)! I was craving a pizza and wanted to try something new and after reading a few Unilocal reviews I had to come try the Corner Bistro; and I am glad I did! I arrived with my bf around 5 on a Saturday and we were able to pick a table since so many were available. There were 2 other tables in the dining room when we arrived. The server came over(she may be the owner too) and took our drink orders. They do not have a liquor license so I opted for soda. We looked over the menu for a bit and then when she came back with our drinks we ordered. I went with the margherita pizza and the bf ordered a sandwich. While our order was being made in the kitchen I noticed how busy this bistro can get. The phone was ringing non-stop and guests were coming in pretty steadily to pick up their to-go orders. The server was making her rounds and checking on tables; she was staying busy. By the time our food came out I was starving just thinking about it. I cut off a slice of pizza and tasted it and it was heavenly. I don’t know how to best describe it, but all I can say is that the crust was soft and chewy and crisp all at the same time. The sauce tasted just right and the amount of cheese was perfect. I honestly enjoyed that first piece so much. I ate another and then another… it was that good. While eating it I was already thinking about ordering from them again. While we were enjoying our meal another table was ordering dessert. The desserts are definitely homemade from the looks of them. She even has a cake saver to keep the desserts in for freshness. I wish I would have ordered some for myself. I guess I will just have to go back for that. Our server made sure our drinks were refilled often and she checked in on us a few times. Very friendly and even made some friendly jokes with us. I knew I was going to need a box so I asked for one and she brought it right over. We paid the bill which was about $ 20 for 2 people, what a steal! I will definitely be back and I can’t wait to order another pizza for carry-out. Maybe I will do that this weekend!

AMAZINGSERVICEANDAMAZINGFOOD!!! Nice little place, clean restaurant, cheap food with great quality. Owner is really personable, nice, always making sure everything is good. I don’t even like Buffalo Chicken Pizza and I fell in love with it there, it was absolutely amazing. We also got their toasted ravioli’s which were the BEST I’ve EVERHAD. The menu offers you a wide variety, there is a lot to pick from, mostly everything is homemade. Definitely recommend this place!

Over 80 reviews and still 5 stars for a reason. The pizza here is fantastic, and perfectly suited to any palette. Whether you prefer your crust thick or thin, Corner Bistro offers the best of both worlds, with an old-fashioned stone pizza oven taste. The crust is flavorful, thin in the center, and fluffy yet still crispy on the outside of the pizza… perfect for dipping in some of their delicious sauce. My boyfriend worked in about four different pizza places as a teenager, and was raving about the quality of the pizza here throughout our whole meal. The cheese is ultra high quality, and at roughly $ 10 for almost any of their pizzas, the prices here are a steal. It was good from start to finish, and though the crust was thin, we did not leave hungry and still had half a pizza to spare! It was still tasty the next day. The toasted ravioli are the best I’ve had in the city so far. Really yummy, packed with meat, and lightly fried. They are perfectly done — not too heavy to spoil your meal. The outdoor seating area is nice, and the restaurant itself is situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed being able to dine in the open air. The owner really made the meal special. She is just a lovely, charming, and humble person. If the pizza doesn’t have you running back to this restaurant, she just might. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend you try it too!
