Nice place close to home. Sports channels galore and staff are attentive. I have to be Gluten Free and they used to have options in the bar food section but this has gone by the way side forcing one to select salad and drinks only. Prices are ok and the food is good for non-GF friends. Across the street from an old haunt«Moskus in Exile».

We always sit at the bar and the bartender is friendly and attentive. They have my fave R-Pep soda here by Excel which I love but am rarely able to find in St. Louis. R-Pep and vodka makes a lovely cocktail. I am also a big fan of the Dirty Fries here which is like poutine. Tried the grilled Caesar salad today which had good flavor. Will try to include a pic.

Great food. Great prices. Nice beer selection. The staff was very friendly. Easy parking across the street in a private lot. I had the country fried steak with a seasonal mix of zucchini and yellow squash. It was delicious and the servings are so generous that I took some to go.

Bad Steven, Bad Steven. Again, I have not updated my review to a restaurant that is in my regular rotation. It’s coming up on four years since my last update and I have totally become a fan of this restaurant. I’ve got to start reading & keeping up with my past reviews. It has been a great place to grab a lunch alone at the bar or to have dinner with a friend. So when it made Ian Froeb’s STL100, I was not surprised. I however, was surprised as to what he said was the«must order». Ian recommends, The Southsider. Which is; griddled country style bologna, topped with a sunny up egg and cheddar fondue on a brioche bun. Is it messy to eat? Hell, yes it is, but you’ll lick your fingers and wipe your mouth with enjoyment. The house cut fries are a perfect side dish and be sure to have a cold craft beer as well. Some of my favorite past dinners have been; Country Fried Steak, Fried Chicken and Meatloaf. Yes, these are some good olé down home comfort foods, that satisfy me every time. The sides that have accompanied these meals have been; mashed potatoes, beets, squash and Mac-n-Cheese. I greatly appreciate that they offer the appropriate gravy to match the entrée. Milk gravy for fried chicken & country fried steak and brown gravy for the meatloaf. If you’re stuffing yourself with comfort food, you might as well go full hog and have dessert. I love their pies, my favorite is the Apple Caramel and my ex use to love the Banana Cream. If you’re to stuffed, take them home in a eco-friendly container to enjoy later as you watch TV. Ian ranked them 22 on his 100 list. If I had a list, I’d most likely have them in my top 10. When: April 9, 2016 Why: Lunch &STL100

This is a really nice place to eat lunch. I had decided previously that I wanted to go there to eat, but I just didn’t find the time to do that because I have a crazy work schedule and am not always in St. Louis all the time. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and did not get rushed for anything. They were not very busy while I was there which is probably why I didn’t feel rushed to hurry up, eat and get out; I liked that. Their menus are cards and paper on clip boards which makes it really easy when they change their menus. Some of the offerings may be pricey to some but not to others, but the food was worth the money spent. I ordered the Black and Bleu Burger, and my side was the side salad. The side salad was really nice. It was fresh greens on a cold plate and I really liked it. The Black and Bleu Burger was a burger patty coated in black pepper and served with bacon and blue cheese on top, and it was on a Kaiser roll. The black pepper had a spicy bite to it, and it you don’t like black pepper at all, this is not what you should order. It’s a mild spiciness but not blast your brains out of you scull. My drink was a sweet tea, and it was like sweet tea that everyone else has; I liked it though. There is only street parking so you might have to drive around the block and around to find a parking spot on Gravois or on one of the side streets near them, just so you know.

This will probably be my favorite restaurant in town. I’m new to the St Louis area. I’m a travel nurse. So, on my first few weeks of a new assignment, I scout out local restaurants which serve more«farm to table» local fare. My first choice, the«Quincy Street Bistro» knocked it out if the park! I had the«stuffed rainbow trout» on the Supper Menu. My taste buds sang Hallelujah!!! The trout was stuffed with a shrimp & crab pâté’ & it rested upon the most heavenly bed of original succotash vegetables I have ever experienced. My waiter was friendly & took time to answer questions about where to go for the cheapest gas prices in the area. The owner also stopped by my table to check on me and see if everything was to my satisfaction. I will definitely return to this wonderful locally owned establishment many times during my stay in St Louis, MO.

Until yesterday, I had only eaten here at my company’s holiday party, which was fantastically organized and delicious by the way. Yesterday, it was me and a girlfriend and our two young kids. Family friendly, everything I tasted was super good, and the place is nicer on the inside than you’d expect from outside. Will definitely be back.

Went there for lunch after a late StL night over Christmas break. I love my mom, may she rest in peace, but QSB has the best meatloaf I’ve ever had(second place, Blake Brokaw’s long closed tangerine on Washington avenue, yes I’m an old time fellow. Mom takes the bronze). A dandy side salad with vinaigrette as well. Quality greens… No brown iceberg and mealy tomatoes here! Bravo. Service side? I sat at the bar. Attentive and kind. If I lived there I would likely be a regular.

Had the chicken fried steak. It was average. The bartender was nice. Their lot is tiny so you will be parking on the street.

I went there for diner tonight. Very nice and clean restaurant and bar. The staff was friendly though they had way too many people working for the amount of customers that were there. I had a drink and one of the specials, a bone in pork chop black eyed peas/greens. The chop was prepared well but the cut of the meat was very underwhelming. I expected a thick cut tender big pork chop but it was just the super market average package or 2 for $ 7.00 cut. The black eyed peas/greens garnish was delicious. The salad was unimpressive. Maybe I just made the wrong choice. I would definitely choose this place to meet a friend for a drink. It’s a bit pricey for what it is, but they have to pay all of those people they have working. They could easily cut that staff in half and be perfectly fine. I wanted to really like the place, but it was just okay. I will try it again in a few weeks and reevaluate.

Came back tonight for dinner and everything was exceptional. I had the butcher steak with local mushrooms again, it was fantastic agsin. My dinner partner had the whole hog plate which was Alsation stew which was 2 hand made sausages, ground pork with lima beans and some ribletes served with course ground mustard and a loaf of bread. SOGOOD and so much food for $ 15! What a gem to have walking distance from home.

This is our absolute favorite neighborhood restaurant. Great, relaxed, atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, plenty of seating with the ample upstairs space, and not to mention: REALLY good food. The sides are the bomb, get the mac n cheese, for sure. Everything is tasty, very well done, and with nice presentation. It’s also very affordable for as good as the food is. One note — please, Quincy Street Bistro, if you are reading this: BRINGBACKTHEOLDPEASANTBREAD. It was our #1 top favorite treat and we went their for my fiancé’s birthday to get him his favorite bread only to find it was changed. It’s certainly not bad the way it is now but it’s got nothing on the flavor of the old dish. I can get red sauce and mozzarella anywhere, I miss the pesto with that warm goat cheese… sigh…Please, I beg of you.

I had read and heard quite a bit about this place. I thought it was in Illinois somewhere honestly. We just got done viewing houses the other day and stopped at the qt. While pumping gas i saw quincy street and knew it was going to happen. The atmosphere was very relaxed, we were seated immediately which surprised me even at 330 – 4 on a Saturday for a late lunch kinda thing since we had rooster around 11. They have quite a few local options for beer, as well as other craft beers. The only problem i would even have with qsb was their menu. They made everything sound so good, it took me forever to finally decide. Before we got our food there was a guy that came and talked with us for a short time. He didn’t say but i think he was an owner or head chef. Very well dressed and all around nice guy. The food was mind blowing. I had some kind of burger that was on the cover of feast if i remember right. I can’t wait to find another excuse to go down there. Oh so good.

Neat place, it’s got a homey, organic feel to it. I had the poutine, which was a delight. The only thing I would have changed is the salt content. It had a LOT of salt. Haha! It’s kinda tight inside, but that’s to be expected in most St. Louis City establishments. Parking sucks, we parked across the street in the Quick Trip parking lot. I don’t recommend that, but it’s what we had to do to find a place. Overall, I would like to try it again. It was good, and maybe next time it will be better. Happy eating all!

Went for lunch with a couple of coworkers and had a really great experience! Service was excellent, atmosphere is clean and cool and food was exceptional. I had the roast beef sandwich after taking note of a few other reviews. My colleagues each had a burger — black and blue as well as the smokehouse bbq. My sandwich was amazing and the baked mac n cheese side equally as good. Their burgers looked awesome and I will definitely be getting one next time! The beer selection here is also very good. Would be nice if they kept the list up to date however no worries as it’s easy to see most taps close to the bar — just could deter if one was seated back in the dining room. Have been meaning to try this place since they opened and glad I finally did! A nice test is that I waited until now also — even after their original head chef has departed, the food is still supreme! Kudos Quincy Street Bistro — keep up the good work!!!

Peasant bread is very good. Real good choice of Ice cold beer. Very clean place with good atmosphere. This place won the 2014 sauce magazine readers choice award and I can see why. I ordered the daily special(seafood stew) which has crawfish in it, excellent! Waiters are very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place.
