Great study joint. The«study hall» setting is an acknowledgement of students’ spartan coffee-fueled needs. I spent more time here before exams than the rest of the city’s coffeeshops combined.

Coffee Connection inside of Trolley Square has a great variety of drinks on the menu. The baristas are well-trained and really friendly! I haven’t had a bad drink and I come in almost every day!

Great place to study. They always make my Iced Americano just how I like it and at a good price. The $ 3 grilled cheese is also the perfect snack.

Average coffee and food. Free wi-fi and great seating, especially for studying. There is no place better for studying! The location blows, though. Too many seedy folks hanging out in front and in/near the parking lot. I won’t go there anymore, because I just don’t feel safe going to and from the building. They should really try to keep the riff raff to a minimum. The staff could use some serious customer service training as well.

I needed a place that stayed open late where I could study with minimal noise. A little noise keeps the quiet from being too quiet. This place is perfect with the study hall in the back. But don’t you dare go back there unless your are going to study. No talking! There was really only one night I had a problem. And then when I get bored there are plenty of drink options. I don’t drink coffee but there are plenty of other options. I really like their steamers. It’s also a cool place to hang out if you aren’t studying and need somewhere to hang out with a group.

I oddly loved this place. It isn’t really my kind of scene, but there is something charming and inviting about it all the same. The coffee I had was really good, the service was solid and the space was nice for doing work. The bathrooms were also impeccable. It is in a sort of strange part of town, clearly taking advantage of the school across the way. this also means it isn’t as protected by the gentrification closer to the temple and the university, which I like. Long story short, I really like this place. i will most certainly go back. Its unique atmosphere, good coffee, and spacious seating is more than enough for me.

I guess I arrived when there was only one worker too a while just to order house coffee. It was terribly long. Like 4 – 5 minutes. Then their creamer was completely empty. Overall, coffee was fine. Just a bit on the slow side.

Really delicious coffee, tea, boba and espresso drinks for a great price. Has more than enough space for doing homework, group projects, or watching the people of state street interact with one another…

Finished my salt lake city snowboarding trip with a boba in hand an hour before our flight departure. Unilocaled boba and this place popped up and we quickly made the drive here, since it’s not too far from the airport – thumbs up. Don’t expect the prices to be similar to bay area prices. Not much boba spots in this city. Parking lot is quite small probably for 7 – 8 cars. Tried the almond milk tea with boba. The drink itself is pretty good. Boba on the other hand you can skip– not chewy and pretty hard as if it isn’t made fresh daily. Cute study spot for late nights as they open pretty late.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops! The only downside is that there are creepers there sometimes and the Internet is always slow. Other than that, I like this place due to the good coffee, reasonable prices, big tables, and space.

Great place to sit down and study or just hangout with friends. They have a very nice selection of ice coffees, and awesome smoothies!

I’ve been here twice and I’m not impressed. I walk in and order bubble tea — because that’s what I like — and there’s twice been somebody creepy standing way to close me while I wait. The place does smell like second hand smoke why is a bummer because there’s nothing more disgusting in a business. And the baristas always seem a little slow and confused about what they’re trying to accomplish. Maybe I need to order actual coffee but I like a cold blended beverage best. Sigh… The boba is rock hard like zombie balls and the drinks are rather bland and watery. I gave them 2 chances, maybe if it’s convenient I’ll try for a third and maybe order something else. But probably not.

I came to Coffee Connection looking for coffee and a nice environment(away from home) to get some work done. The coffee fulfilled one of my needs but the internet was so slow that I would have been better off at home. The separated rooms for studying and socializing is nice though, I love the study booth! But if you need a really quiet area to study do not come here because even in the study hall you can hear a lot of noise from people talking, coffee machine grinding, and overhead music. Overall, it’s a nice place that can improve with faster internet. I wish they would take the suggestions of all of us Unilocalers and improve accordingly bc we basically say the same thing.

This place is awesome if you need a quiet place to study or finish up some work. The layout is nice they have plenty of places to sit and chill as well. I had a dirty Chai which was not too bad. I saw they had boba tea so next time I go I’ll definitely have to try that out.

I’m from the Bay Area where there are a lot of great milk tea shops so the milk teas here was only OK. I got the rose coconut combo because a Unilocaler recommended it, but felt that it was very watered down. I’m not from Utah so I won’t have time to come back in the future, but I feel like if I did live in the area I would come to this shop for the study environment, not for the drinks.

Who the heck knew that the best boba drink I’ve had in a long time would have come from a coffee shop in Salt Lake City?! Their coconut rose combo was absolutely to die for — not too flowery, not too sugary, just wonderful. The only thing that kept this visit from being a total five-star experience was that the furnishings were a leeeeeetle bit janky and there was a lot of leftover garbage, cups, papers, etc, from others who had planted themselves in their leather seats before me. However, I know that it’s to be expected from a coffee shop that allows people to spend a lot of time there studying, reading, working, socializing, and I really appreciate that they didn’t scoot us out. I still dream about that boba drink and am now on the hunt for something as good in LA!

It’s a coffee place. I went on a Saturday afternoon to do a group project for school. It’s surprisingly big. I got some drinks for myself but nobody else in the group got anything and nobody came to kick us out. Study area in the back, café type stuff in the front. Not a huge selection of foods. It’s clean, it’s organized. Not a bad place. I’m not really a coffee house type of guy, but this seems like a chill spot… other than the deer that wandered in randomly.

Love the layout. There are heaps of different places to sit and a great«quiet» area with booths and power outlets. Coffee is fine and isn’t overpriced compared to any other coffee joint(I read reviewers that complained about that… but a large fluffy coffee with a million flavors and whip cream is overpriced anywhere – just order drip coffee!) I liked the 99 cent refills and the staff was very friendly. But the internet is indeed S.L.O.W. I mean, wowza. On the bright side, it sort of kept me focused as I couldn’t wander the internets when I realized photos on webpages were loading 1995 style. one slow centimeter at a time. Ok, maybe that is an exaggeration but it is slow!

Nothing great, couple things that suck. overall you could probably find a better coffee shop in the area. Positives: large area, ample seating, designated study areas, convenient location, friendly staff Negatives: average drinks, bit expensive, but for the love of god THEINTERNET! either they pay for crappy internet that becomes unusable with less than a dozen people on at once or it really is some secret ploy to keep people who should be studying off facebook.

Know what? This place still has what I need. Many an afternoon have I spent working here on the couch. A couple of events have I planned here or helped plan here. Many a friend have I run into. It’s a hub, people. A big, convenient hub. The latest example: I was out on a rainy and traumatic night(long story short = car v. bike 10 feet from my windshield across town) so I needed to just get in and sit on the couch and cool off with a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was sipped over the next little bit while I sat comfortably on the couch and contemplated life. Coffee Connection is perfect for that. Just come to study, to meet, to sip a cup, to snack, to work. It’s open late. It’s right on State. It’s exactly what I want and need it to be.
