Just had a big bowl of ramen with all the fixings and it was delicious. Open until 9:30 is a perk for a late eater such as myself. Prompt friendly staff. My water was always full and so was my belly leaving. I will be back for more. Thanks EastWest!

New owners took over about a year ago. Not as tasty and service slow. Used to be my go to for dinner on a busy night for the family. Went to pick up my order tonight and they didn’t have it. Was told 20 minutes for pick up. I got there in 30 minutes. They kept telling me my order was almost ready. Had to wait another 20 minutes. Couldn’t they just admit they forgot the order instead of lie. I miss Lin and her family, the former owners. Will not be my go to for dinner anymore.

Just ok. The restaurant was rather empty at 6pm on a week night. I had the chicken curry and it had a too sweet, too thick sauce; not the best curry i have tasted. The pot stickers were delicious. A little crisp on the outside with good flavor. My son had a chicken dish that was meh. I don’t think I will be going there again. Not special.

New chef with new menu items– notably ramen!!! Their ramen is pretty darn good, flavorful but pretty salty. When they first started with it, the meat portioning was generous, so I was going to 5 star it, but as time has gone on, there’s now consistently only a small portion… so 4 stars. But still decent ramen.

I was SO disappointed in my meal here. We only had the Ramen and potstickers so I can’t speak to the whole menu. The Ramen was some of the worst I’ve ever had. It was greasy to the point of being inedible. The veggies tasted like they were borderline rotten and the pork wasn’t actually pork, just pork fat. We arrived at 7pm and didn’t get our appetizer until 8 pm. Not worth it at all.

Came in craving some good ramen since other places were closed. Ordered the ramen, ate it, and left still craving some good ramen. Soup wasn’t hot enough temperature wise, the charshu meat didn’t melt in my mouth. The noodles and other additional ingredients were fine, not great, and didn’t do much to curb the ramen crave. Maybe expectations were too high but I thought the food was a bit underwhelming

This is one of our family’s favorite restaurants. By far, the best Vietnamese food I’ve eaten. Our favorites are: Golden Tofu with Noodles, Curry Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. It is nicely decorated, is clean and the service is always great. The food arrives quickly.

So delicious! Fresh, flavorful, and delicious flavors! My husband & I have been on the hunt for an Asian restaurant that we could return too– we finally did & its EastWest Connection. We’ve been to 20+ places & this is our #1! We love the flavors & different takes on traditional plates. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as we do!

Excellent beef Phở. Very wide variety on menu. Fast and friendly service. Hard to find a place like this in SLC.

This is one of our favorite places for take-out dinner. I noticed the menu had changed recently so I was wary of our favorites not meeting expectations. Not the case! I ordered the Look Luck Beef and it was perfectly tender and just the right amount of sauce. My husband ordered the noodles with spring rolls which I call the vermicelli egg roll salad. Also very good. Takeout service is very fast and the hostess was kind and courteous at pick up time.

Terrible food! Never going back. Sweet n sour chicken was disgusting. No flavor and tasted like chicken was frozen and thawed 5 times.

Highly recommend the summer rolls with bean sauce for a refreshing beginning. There are several vegan and gluten free choices.

East West Connection is our go-to for a night out with friends. We live clear across the valley but the drive is always worth it. Lovely atmosphere, you never wait for a table, the service is great — but the food, oh the FOOD! Look luck beef, simmered prawns, the best crispy spring rolls I’ve ever had, and the five-spice chicken is to die for! East West will continue to be our favorite for the NEXT ten years as well, I’m sure!

East West is like the Starbucks of Vietnamese… which is meant to be a compliment if you will bear with me. What I mean is East West is very dependable quality. You may not be getting the height of Asian cuisine, but what you will get is a well made dish that is flavorful at a reasonable price. I should also note that their dishes do not rely on heavy breading or deep frying, but instead are light and fresh. I have been going to East West since I was a kid and I have yet to be disappointed in a dish. Plus they have a lot of vegetarian options so I have plenty to order from when I visit their restaurant. If you want to try more adventurous or inventive food, I would keep Unilocaling. But if you want a solid Vietnamese meal then I whole heartedly recommend East West.

The only thing that was dissatisfactory was the service. And I’m not one to get up in arms over poor service(unless of course it is unforgivably horrific) because sometimes you just catch people on an off night. Upon first glance, East West Connection appears clean and well taken care of, always a plus. Intimate feeling without being«on top» of other patrons. Essentially, they’ve done a job well done with creating a nice atmosphere and the food is very much complementary to this. I’m no Vietnamese food connoisseur, meaning authenticity is questionable. But regardless everything looked and tasted fresh. First visit lent itself to tofu lettuce wraps and pad thai noodles, both of which were outstanding for what I was expecting of EWC. Definitely a place I intend to return to, particularly when the surrounding restaurants are too packed. Not quite a five star food experience, but above average for all intents and purposes.

Went to East West Connection again today and they’ve added some GREAT Japanese items to an already spectacular menu. I’ve been to Japan(twice) and the Shoyo Ramen I had today was as good as anything I’ve had overseas! Plus we ordered the Five Spice Chicken Bánh Mi sandwich to share and for a mere $ 8 it came with a salad and sweet potato fries which makes it one of the BEST lunch deals in town! Thanks East West for doing what you do best!

This place is never busy and I have no idea why… but I’m not complaining. Great service, great food, quiet and nice ambiance and no wait. Pretty much a «hidden» gem right in front of your face in Foothill Village. My favorite things are… –The spring rolls with the fish sauce … OMG. I want to drink that fish sauce and the rolls are perfectly fried every time. –The look luck beef. This is a unique dish, in my opinion anyway. I haven’t seen anything quiet like it and not nearly as good anywhere else. It’s tender pieces of beef over a bed of fresh lettuce, onions, carrots and tomatoes with the most delicious dressing over the top. Just so good. –The chicken curry… so flavorful and sweet. The chicken is the most tender. It’s fantastic.

The disclaimer here is I haven’t tried phở before, so there’s nothing for me to compare it to. Well, the phở itself was fantastic, from the presentation and even to the taste. The veggies were crisp, the beef was tender, and on a chilly, Spring night, this was a good choice! The service was friendly and warm. I also ordered the Thai tea which didn’t miss a beat in terms of being authentically delicious. It’s a nice quiet setting, but I imagine this place gets busy on weekends. I expect I will be updating this review in the future when I’ve tried more phở in the valley, but if you’re on the Eastside or close to campus, this is a nice atmosphere for a great dinner.
