One of the only places my sister will go to for lunch. They offer an unlimited soup and salad with several soups and salads to choose from. We always get the steak soup, which has hearty chunks of beef, and Summer salad which has pieces of fruit, nuts and a sweet dressing. Happy hour specials are a great deal! Especially the nachos which are piled high and enough for 2 – 3 people. I had relatives visit from Tuscany, and they liked the burger so much, we came here twice during their stay. Overall, something for everyone here.

We both really like this place. We often come here for the ribeyes. The Terminator. It’s big an juicy. regardless of how i order it, it usually arrive medium rare. I like it medium. they are always quick to remedy. the wife’s arrives perfect every time. the baked potatoes are huge and the house salad is very fresh and one of the best around. the price of the ribeye is cheaper than the local big name steak house and is just as good. waiters are always very friendly and attentive

I received a $ 10 off coupon in the mail so i decided to try this place. This is your typical restaurant like apple bees, TGI Fridays and chilis. We got here right before noon and was seated right away and everyone was friendly we ordered drinks, appetizers and 3 entrees. The drinks and food was out within a reasonable time. I had the 7 oz sirloin with French fries my husband had the Cuban sandwich and our son had the 2 cheeseburgers sliders with fries. We were all satisfied with our food and service was attentive I will definitely be back.

Went here on a Sunday night in May. New to the area and it had good reviews and is open later than most restaurants. Got this queso dip that they are known for called Gringo Dio and it did not disappoint! I went with 2 other people. My friend got a salad, which was huge! And my brother got the croissant breakfast sandwich with waffle fries. I got potato soup and a burger with an egg on it. My food was delicious, the bacon was a little weird but good. My brothers waffle fries were very good. Margaritas were nice and big and not over or under poured. Justin B was our server and he was very attentive and friendly. The manager on duty even came over because it was our first time there. The place is close to my house and I will be back again!

Huge menu with so many choices!!! Love the Gringo Dip– it’s sinful and addictive. My favorite meal is the southwest chicken wrap. Fresh ingredients and extremely tasty. The burgers are great, steaks are good and the chicken tortilla soup is amazing. It’s got a kick so be prepared– yummy! Customer service is usually good; depends on the day. I’ve had excellent 75% of the time and horrible the other 25%. The good thing is, management is usually very attentive.

Received a coupon for $ 10 off. Decided to try it with my husband and son who is visiting us. 1. The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening around 6pm(Dinner Time) 2. Had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated(Not bad considering how busy it was) 3. Waited on by friendly waiter, we let him know it was our first time there. Asked him for suggestions on food etc. He recommended their«Gringo Dip» which is a cheese sauce you dip tortillas with. Not bad. Average… I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and asparagus in a mushroom cream sauce. Delish! Large portion too. I could only eat a 4th of it and brought the rest home for lunch and still have another portion left over. That dish could be split between two. Unless you are starving of course. :) My son ordered their burger, it looked very tasty and he enjoyed it. My husband had their fish, shrimp and chips. IT was tasty as well and their cole slaw was very good. I will definitely go back. Had a great experience and highly recommend it.

I’ve been dining here with family or friends for a few years now. The menu offers many selections from steaks, burgers, salads, country style cooking & all kinds of appetizers. The bar area creates a fun environment during televised sporting events. Happy hour deals are one of the best in the city! I’ve ordered many items here over the past years & have tried many menu selections. My kids favor the burgers here, usually cooked to perfection & fries never greasy. I tend to order a lot of salads, but request my dressing on the side. I’ve learned from past experiences that some restaurants have a tendency to soak salads with salad dressing. The customer service level here is usually above average compared to other chain restaurants. Servers are courteous, attentive & efficient. The dining room atmosphere filled with many memorabilia is a conversation piece in itself! 54th Street is a fun dining place for all ages!

While visiting San Antonio, a friend took me to this restaurant and I loved it! We ate wings, tequila wrappers with smoked chicken, black bean and pepper jack cheese, and their summer blend salad with apples, blue cheese crumbles and a balsamic ving. Though a simple meal, it was all delicious. From the atmosphere to the bartender to the food, it was all great. They even had a patio with a fire pit set up which I thought was unique and comforting. Will definitely be back before I leave!

My Dad found a coupon online for $ 10 off $ 30 and we decided to try them out for lunch. I have no idea where or else I’d add it on here. Maybe later when I found out, I’ll update the review ;) They had some great deals for $ 7.99 that were already a pretty good portion. I ordered a half sandwich and half soup expecting a cup and a whole bowl came out instead. Everything came out great! Pretty quick too. We didn’t wait that long after ordering. The service was wonderful and they kept picking up the tiniest trash on the table. I thought that was funny. =D Even the manager came out to say, «Hi!». After paying out and everything, on the receipt there was a coupon for either a free entrée or a free dessert next time, so yes we’ll definitely be back! =)

My daughter’s ex-boyfriend works here so I was hesitant to write a review about this place. When they recently broke up, I felt it was now OK to give my real opinion. We decided to try this place as we were in the area. It was early, so we felt that there would not be much of a wait. Boy, were we wrong. It was standing room only at the entrance, and the bar didn’t have seat open. Our wait was nearly an hour. When we finally made it to a table, we were given menu’s and left to look it over. It was probably 10 minutes before anybody ever came back. We placed our orders, which consisted of a burger for my wife, and a chicken fried steak for me. We also placed our drink orders. I was in the mood for a cup of coffee and asked the waiter if it was fresh. He promised it was and went off to place our orders. Drinks came quickly. Coffee tasted like it was made the previous week. I guess«fresh» means different things to different people. Orders came out after a little while, and they were huge. My wife’s order was not cooked like she asked for, but she ate it anyway. I dug in to my chicken fried immediately hoping to find what I have been looking for since the Red Barn in Nacogdoches closed. Unfortunately, this was not it. It wasn’t bad, just not what I was hoping for. The entire experience makes this a 3 star place for me. It’s about what I expected. If the wait had not been so long, the coffee was fresh, and the burger was cooked like my wife asked for, then this would have probably rated a little higher.

Our server was really nice, so we’ll give him that. The food came out cold, we just asked for new fries which were inedible cold. We asked for the Tomahawk wings platter, and we were surprised that we got 3 pork«wings» and the platter price was 13.99(do the math it’s over 4.50 per«wing»). We were splitting the wings, so we were definitely expecting a bit more. On the other side we were grateful it wasn’t that much food. After an appetizer, a salad there wasn’t room for more. The food was good, but it’s definitely not worth the price. Also we, disgustingly, ate our food next to broom and trash, our whole time. Totally unimpressed.

I have eaten here once before, so I was disappointed in the experience I had. I ordered an Avocado Chicken Sandwich to go, stating specifically that I wanted it without bacon, but with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. When I arrived home after a 12 hour work day to eat dinner, I discovered my sandwich included tons of bacon, no pickles or onions, and soggy wilted lettuce. I was also looking forward to the Avocado Ranch Dressing that is supposedly on the sandwich, but that too was missing. Won’t go back. The least they can do at an establishment that offers curbside pickup is to train the team to check orders for accuracy!

My S.O. and I always go here when we’re undecided on what to eat as this place has many options. We also had a coupon, which made it an easy choice for dinner. Food is decent, and I always enjoy my entrée of steak and baked potato. The slight downfall is really the service and procedure. We were greeted by our waitress, and served waters. Needed more time to order, so she said to holler when we were ready. During that time, a group of 20 arrived and were seated. We were ready to order, and locked eyes with our waitress to let her know. However, she walked past us and over to the big group to take their drink orders. Ok… so we’ll place our order after that? Nope. She disappeared then we see her out on the floor again after 5 minutes — do we order now? Nope. She served the big group their drink orders. Ok… so do we order now? Nope. She takes the big group’s food orders. Either she totally forgot about us, or didn’t want to turn down a large order/large tip. We were about to get up and leave, but were saved by Brandon who saw our frustration. He was the host at the front door, so I guess he does double-duty as waiter and host? Or a waiter who had to play host? I dunno. He took our order, and the serving staff shared responsibilities in bringing out our food(which luckily got put in before the big group). Food came out in a timely manner, and the staff was attentive and saved our dinner experience here. Never saw our original waitress until the end when she picked up my CC to pay the bill. I hope Brandon and the rest of the serving staff got the tip instead though!

came on Valentine’s Day — late nite, arrived 10:30… crowd had died down. waiter was so polite and personable, probably tired after a long dinner service, but it didn’t show. hubbie and I tried the dinner special — 24.99 for a selected — but good list of choices of apps and entrees. we chose cheese sticks for app — golden, brown & tasty. good marinara too. I had half order of chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac n’ cheese and biscuit.(comes with mash, u pick side). chicken about fist sized, but thick, not flat, good size for half size. crispy flavorful crust that stood up to gravy, hot and moist inside. gravy had good flavor too and touch of spice — cayenne? little spicy, but not too much. potatoes were good as was biscuit. not expecting much due to late hour, but everything was hot and tasty. Mac was a little under sauced. think they may keep them separate, then toss. not sure. but tasted fresh, not gloppy or overcooked. hubbie had pulled pork sammy — HUGE, piled high! meat comes unsauced, which I consider a plus. moist and tender! fries were a little underwhelming. Bahama mama was HUGE! tasted great and was happy hour priced — even though it was Valentine’s Day. service was great too. I’d recommend and go back! check happy hour specials. offered 3 – 6 m thru 5 and after 9 everyday. $ 4.99 full size apps and drink specials.

Just moved to San Antonio and looking for places to dine. Stopped by here based on Unilocal feedback. It exceeded expectations! It was a Friday night and the place was packed. We swooped in and took over a couple seats at the bar. It being our first time, we said hello to the couples on both sides of us and they were quick to make suggestions! We started with the yummy gringo dip. I could have stopped there. It was great! Cheesy and not too spicy. If you join their email club online, they send you a coupon for a free gringo dip! I had the chicken fried steak(½ order $ 8.99) with BBQ beans and coleslaw. Delish! Perfect sized portion. I had heard the full order takes up the whole plate so after downing the dip, this was a great size. My wife had the burger and fries($ 7.49). I heard no complaints from her! Great value on the food. Drinks didn’t quite match that value(Crowns were $ 6.25/Coronas were $ 5) but were still reasonable. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was a busy night yet we felt very well served. Great TVs, too. We’re glad we went here. I’m sure we will become regulars!
