Karaōke night is crazy here!!! But they have a legit pub feeling, thy also have a towering beer thingy I can’t recall the name but you need 3 or 4 people just to order it!

If you happen to be at karaōke, and have the distinct pleasure of hearing Dick, who is an 80 something year old angel of a man, you may just think you’ve died and gone to heaven. Trust me. He’s amazing!

Horrible food. Fish and chips came out over cooked and indelible. Ordered a medium rare burger was served well done. Cheese cake was dry and crumbly and the caramel topping didn’t exist. Don’t waste your time or money!

Had lunch here. Great selection of beers and the food was pretty good.

No redeeming qualities. A huge indicator of the quality of this hole should have been the beer menu. Order beer one, from the menu, it was discontinued. Order beer two, from the menu, it’s also discontinued. Our server finally tells me to walk to the bar and look at the taps! Beer one is finally ordered and returned quickly. Beer two is ordered but never delivered, I ask another server if they can deliver it and server two delivers it quickly. We ordered an appetizer that took 30 minutes to get delivered but we were lucky, there were others around us that had to have the manager visit their tables to address the hour long delayed orders. A 6 pack from HEB and listening to the game on Ticket 760 would have been more enjoyable.

Hadn’t been here in a year. Finally went back last Sunday to watch some football and their beer selections is fantastic. Really loved the fact that the bartender knew her beers and appreciate the recommendation on both the food and the beer. Not all bar food is created equal. Had the habanero wings. They were crispy and spicy but not as blazing hot as I imagined-which is a good thing. Definitely going back to get my fill of craft beer. Loved the ambiance, service and food-better than Flying Saucer.

Not sure why this place has an average of just three stars. It’s definitely much better than that! Came here for the first time yesterday around noon. Deals that day were $ 2XX(draft) and $ 3 Oktoberfest brews. They have 61 beers on tap and I tried… well, I don’t remember how many I tried, but I tried a lot. With the exception of an Alaskan toothpaste-minty brew, I wasn’t disappointed with any. You can also do a 100 oz. tube of beer(if it’s below a certain ABV). Can’t tell you how much it was exactly, but it basically averaged out to about the cost of 6 – 7 pints. The food here is good. Among my table, we had a poblano burger, appetizer sampler, sweet potato fries — all very tasty. All very fried, but all very tasty. About $ 8−10/dish. They have salads. Not that you’re here for that or anything. Friendly staff, incl. the bartenders and waitresses. The manager of the place(the guy who responds to a lot of these Unilocal posts) was very friendly and knowledgeable about his brews. TVs on all sides of the room(the layout is basically a big square with tables in the middle and the bar toward the back). Big projector on one end. Clean restrooms with a clever, well-placed full-length mirror to check yo’self before heading back out to be seen. They have ladies’ night and other specials. Families/kids come here, so if that’s not your thing — just a heads up. Free parking in that entire strip. They’re open until 2a weekends. I thought the far north side was more stuck up than this, but this downtowner is definitely headed back up there soon. I was impressed.

Living less than two minutes away from this place, I feel the need to write a review. Friendly staff, and really tasty food(mostly), are my reasons for my three star rating. They would get four, except for the following reasons: Sometimes service is slow. Frequently, food tends to take forever to get to the table. Their drink prices tend to be a bit spendy… Unless you drink beer, which I generally do not. Now, for the food. My favorites are as follows: Black and bleu wrap. Grilled steak with lettuce and tomatoes topped with bleu cheese crumbles and this amazingly tangy and zesty sauce wrapped up in a flavorful tortilla. These are generally half price on Thursdays which is one day I’m generally there every week. Taps torpedoes. These are appetizers, but they should be called appetizingers… If you are watching your weight or your cholesterol, you might want to avoid them. The torpedoes are three of the largest jalapeños you have ever laid eyes on, but it doesn’t stop there. They are wrapped in bacon, stuffed with cream cheese, submerged in their own beer batter and then deep fried to a nice golden brown, then served with a zesty ranch style sauce. Lone star burger. This burger is Texas sized and really good. A more than generous sized beef patty topped with tangy barbecue sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a really freaking huge fried onion ring. Served with either regular or sweet potato fries. They almost always offer this and every other burger half off during football games. Lastly, the tap has loads of activities to keep you entertained all week long. They have poker tournaments two days a week, and have their own karaōke show every Friday and Saturday night too.

I do not plan on ever returning here. I really enjoy supporting local small business, but will not spend another nickel here unfortunately for all. Today when I went here to meet w/a friend of mine and drink beer, eat and watch the Chicago Bears game. Unfortunately, with 6TV’s in the facility, the management decided that it was better to only watch 4 of the available games by having the Cowboys on the projector and 2 of the other 5 screens, and they would not change a TV so we could see the Bears. In an effort to somehow appease my utter disbelief, they offered to change one of the TV’s when one of the other games went off /someone in the bar left that was watching a different game. Obviously the fact that all the games started and would finish at the same time totally escaped them. For a place w/just OK food and Service, this was enough for me. I left there and went to 54th Street Grill. Not only did they change a TV and let us watch the Bears Game w/no questions asked, but the food /service was excellent and the burger did not take 30 minutes to arrive.

Service has gotten so much better since my last review. I think there was a change in ownership. Keep up the great specials, new tv screen is great too!

Food — excellent. They had awesome $ 2 beer specials and half off burgers for Sunday football. That reeled us in. Had the turkey burger which had spinach and feta in it, and sweet potato fries were also delicious. My friend’s kids loved the mini corn dogs — though they don’t have a printed kid’s menu, you can definitely ask the knowledgeable waitress. Service — It was ok. There was only 1 waitress for all of the dining area on a Sunday. Granted, the place wasn’t packed, but we’d have to hail her down to check on us. We needed refills, and were often left waiting for a while. Regardless, I’d come back for beer and quick grub.

The Tap Exchange is what it is — a beer-centered neighborhood bar that happens to have some food, too. We went Sunday night. There were eight other people there. I ordered the poblano burger and it came out in about 10 minutes and was delicious. Rachel was our waitress and she was friendly and witty, once she realized we weren’t stalkers. Kick back at the corner of Evans and Bulverde and order a Maredsous 10.

Our visit tonight was quite disappointing. The food was good and beer was cold… when we finally got it. Service tonight was subpar. It took us 15 minutes to get our two beers after gave our order to the waitress. 40 minutes to get the food we ordered(2 hamburgers and hot wings). Being waiter in my youth, I tend to be forgiving on a busy night. She was frequently absent from the dining area for long periods of time. In an hour and a half, we saw our waitress four times. Food was completed and pint glasses empty for 20 minutes before we saw her again.
Also, do you really need to post Bail Bonds, Lawyer and Carpet Cleaner ads on your pint glasses? That’s just tacky.

Today was the breaking point for me with this place! Don’t get me wrong they have a ton of good beer here so if that’s your thing then you’ll be fine. It may take 30 minutes for a server to bring you the beer. But once you get it will be good. My problem is with the food. Even though I have had fun nights here, I have yet to have a positive food experience. It’s mostly over salted and it takes way too long to get to you, one time I waited an hour for a burger and fries, an HOUR! And I don’t mean it felt like an hour, I mean I literally waited an hour. Don’t even waste your time with the so called nachos. Not enough cheese and if there is a chip that has a good amount of cheese on it, it will also be soggy. But all and all, I decided to give this place another try today as I didn’t want to cross the highway for a burger, So I went in and for my lunch I ordered, The Monterrey Burger: Meat, Cheese, Avocado, Bacon. Side of Fries. I asked to add grilled onions, and to have my side of fries made extra crispy. This time(yes I timed it) it only took 27 minutes to get my order. It was to-go so I made the 3 minute drive back home open my box, pick up the burger, I check it, No grilled onions or any onions what so ever for that matter, fries where not crispy, they where over salted and peppered, and they where a little on the soggy side. The burger it self wasn’t that bad. I actually enjoyed it the bacon was crisp, the meat wasn’t dry. But it still wasn’t what I ordered. And when you are charged $ 12 for a burger and fries you should at least get what you ordered. And I know that it’s not just me because the place was empty; one other table. I don’t think I’ll go back. The beer is good, but I don’t know if it’s worth putting up with the terrible service, and I don’t care for that fact that if you do order food, you could probably be wasted drunk by the time it gets to you. If you are the owner, and you’re reading this, I’m sorry, but I gave you several chances. Maybe it’s time to call the Bar Rescue show.

Yay for beer! If you enjoy a good brewskie, and want to venture out and try something other than the typical lite’s that most bars serve, check out the Tap Exchange. They have so many different types of beer to choose from. Lots of local beers too! They just changed their menu up, but from what I could tell the other day, most of it is still the same. Their food is pretty good too, can be hit or miss. Had the spinach artichoke dip the other night, and it was amazing!

We came here to redeem a $ 35 Groupon and to sample their wide selection of beer. Beer: –Impressed with the selection, disappointed with the presentation. The beer menu is printed in an unreadable font and lists no description. We wished it would have been categorized better. –We ordered the 3−5oz sampler to begin with. Our server brought us a Boulevard Wheat instead of one of our selections, stating they were out of what we chose. We love Boulevard Wheat(have a case at home), and wanted to try something different. Why did they make the selection for us? We sent it back and chose something different. Food –Between the 3 of us we ordered some apps, burgers, and fish & chips –Loved the breaded jalapeño slices and breaded dill pickles –Burgers were just okay… bottom bun was totally soggy by the time it got to us –Fish & chips portion was HUGE, but sadly, lacked flavor All in all, I don’t think we will return. Based on other reviews, we will hit up Freetail for a better beer experience.

«How’s it hanging fellas?» I love this place! As you enter the door you see the wall mural of beer tap handles across the floor beckoning you closer. You float through the room, eyes fixed upon the draughts straining to make out the more than 50 selections, completely unaware of your fellow patrons whom, for all you know, you may have just stepped upon. Not a beer drinker? No problem. Get out! No really, they have just as impressive a wine selection for those who prefer fermented grapes to fermented hops. No liquor that I could see though so this might not appeal to the dirty martini or bull blaster drinker but as you can see I did not regard this as a negative. Ample space and flat screens easily viewed from every angle with NFL ticket for the football games. $ 3 select list of pints during NFL games and 25% off appetizers. Oh crap, Roy Williams just fumbled! Another beer here!
