Came to this location often and always enjoyed it. Shocked to see the eviction notice on the door.

We ducked in WOB to escape rain Saturday around 3pm. There was 1 bartender and 7 customers(not busy) We sat at the bar where a couple just had left. The bartender approached us, picked up the tip and walked away, no menu, no hello, no I’ll be back. absolutely no acknowlegement of our presence. We got ignored about 5 minutes while she chatted and watched TV. we left… NEVERAGAIN.

I recommend this bar for the guy that wants to try something new! Don’t go here if all your going to do is order your usual go to beer definitely try something from around the world! A little pricey but definitely worth it with the variety they have to choose from!

Place is currently closed. Went there this past Friday and the establishment was locked up with all there tables and supplies inside. Plus a note stated the locks had been changed and any attempts at entry were illegal.

Wanted to grab a few beers after seeing a movie. Have been there many times and always loved the place. Great selection of beers, chill atmosphere. Well, we try to go today and the place is closed. Something on the doors about the locks being changed. Hope this is temporary, would really miss this place.

Did fundraiser for Operation Enduring Warrior and raised almost 4000 for the non profit but kept all Proceeds stating they don’t have the funds now and would pay when they did… using wounded warriors for your own profit is disgusting. I will never step foot here again.

I came here with my brother-n-law last night to get out try a few beers. No kids, no wives, just some guy time to try some nice German beers we used to while we served in the military. This establishment is very nice and relaxing. The shopping area itself is nice! There is plenty of seating for large groups. They have all different kinds of taps, bottles, and cans! American brew, local brew, and international brew. The staff here is awesome and knows their beer they have on site. This place is definitel for the beer enthusiasts out there. One thing though they do not have anything to snack on here or to eat. But they do let you bring food from the outside. Not bad at all. One thing from another Unilocalers review is they do have an app to track the beers you have drank here. Plus on my book to remember those great tasting beers you liked. Because we all get CRS at one point in our lives. LoL

We went to WOB on a Sunday afternoon recently to drink some good beer and watch the end of the spurs game. It really is a nice place with a great patio area. We walked up to the bar since we realized we wouldn’t otherwise get waited on. Ok, cool, no biggie. We soon realized by talking to some of the other customers that there was ONEPERSONWORKINGINTHEWHOLEPLACE! the poor girl was working her tail off and most of the customers were trying their best to be patient, but it was really quite ridiculous. Great selection of beer in beverage cases and on tap, too bad there’s not enough help for you to try more than one! We had one beer each, we were a group of six, then we left. That could have been a great tab of we had been taken care of with adequate staffing. Not sure how they can expect to succeed when they can’t serve their customers. How else can you make money? Would love to try this again it really is a nice place.

Fantastic selection of beer from around the world(only beer, no mixed drinks), great atmosphere and fun group games to play with friends. Recommend for groups of friends or if you just want to try new types of beer.

Apparently they force you to leave at least one star. A few tips to the staff: 1. When you outnumber the customers, step up the service. I can’t believe how long we waited to get served, while so many of you were standing around chatting with each other. 2. Your beer selection is terrible. Having 100 beers is worthless is there aren’t any good beers. You have 15 – 20 IPAs and few, if any, good ones. With all of the great microbrews in Austin, why do you have none of them? Perhaps your purchasing is done out of Dallas. 3. Prices are a bit steep. If these were incredible beers I would be willing to foot the bill, but for a mediocre selection I would expect a better price. 4. Loud music. I’m sure someone loves Pat Benetar, but I am pretty sure that it’s a pretty select set of people. I can’t fault them for trying to bring their formulaic chain restaurant to Austin, but the first rule is to understand your market. Spending some time here would tell you that we are serious about our beer. Maybe snobbish, but, hey, we’re the customers and we have the cash, cater to us, don’t ignore us. Most of the Austin beer chains would never make it in Dallas either, we’re different mar

Our 2nd time going and our last before we even had a chance to order we decided to join in on trivia a drunk patron decided to scream obscenities at my husband. The bar went completely silent you could have heard a pin drop our waitress apologized and couldn’t believe it. She told the manager but she looks like she has a serious meth problem and claims to have not heard what the entire bar did. So be warned this behavior is tolerated at this bar.

World of Beer(WOB) is not for the faint of heart when it comes to beer, nor is it a place you come to looking for VIP service with thumping music. Move aside people, let the beer enthusiasts come through and drink their IPAs, Stouts or whatever they may prefer. This is a great place to come and knock back a few great quality beers. The staff is super awesome here and very friendly. When you first get here you’ll love the feel of World Of Beer. It honestly reminds me of grabbing a drink at your friends house and they have the garage open, just on a much larger scale of course. WOB has these two massive sliding garage doors that allow entry to their patio which overlooks the shopping center and surround scenery. Pretty nice view if I must say. If you’re hungry i have some bad but awesome news for you. They don’t serve food BUT they allow you to freakin’ bring in your own food! How sick is that? If you want to order pizza and have it delivered to WOB– go for it. Place an order at BJ’s restaurant down the shopping center and bring it back– that works for them. Whatever you’re craving, bring those food plates over to WOB and enjoy one of their many beers– that is what’s cool in their book. I love grabbing a beer(or two) before checking out a movie at Alamo Drafthouse so if you have enough time, I totally suggest doing that.

I’ve been here twice now so I can honestly say I love it. Strictly a watering hole, they don’t offer snacks. However, they do provide a list of places that will delivery to your seat. You can also BYOFood. The beer selection here is great. Download the app & enjoy a digital roladex of all the beers on hand. You can also set filters to meet your beverage desires. Different days of the week come with different experiences. Tuesday trivia, Wednesday Cards Against Humanity, Thursday Ladies Night & Military discount. I’m pretty sure the other days are all related to football some how.

SUPERCOOL!!! So, there’s some things that new comers need to know… they don’t serve anything but beer. No food. No alcohol. Just beer. NOCOMPAINTSHERE!!! However, for people who get hungry; you can order food and have it delivered. There are beers from all over the world so this place is aptly named. The building is set up kind of like an old garage with two large garage doors that open to a covered patio with outdoor seating. It’s very clean and the furniture is in very good condition. There are several TVs playing sports and there’s a stage for a band. I could get used to being a regular here and I’m stoked to try to World of Beer’s Loyalty program which sounds like a lot of fun. It keeps track of all the beer you’ve had and you can earn shirts, badges, plaques and parties in your honor. There’s also a smart phone app to help you track your progress. There’s also giant jenga, corn hole and ping pong to add to the awesomeness of this beer lover’s paradise! Definitely get out there and grab a great beer and enjoy the day!

Huge beer selection in bottles and draft(550+), plenty of favorites kept in stock and a great rotation throughout the week, with never too many taps from the same brewery/bottling company. Fun loyalty program with badges, shirts, plaques & parties for milestones. Excellent phone app to track your points and beers you have tried, plus beer descriptions, search options with multiple filters for style, size, country etc, random function, and more. Bar staff is knowledgeable and fun. Service is generally on point. Not too busy during the week, though it does fill up on the weekends, when there is live music. Happy hour, bottle, service industry, ladies, Texas brew, member discount/specials and more! Wine and Dishwater-Lite beers available for ladies and guys who own white visors or camo t-shirts.

Blow My Cover is a glorious band that includes a keyboardist, guitarist, vocals/bassist, an amazingly awesome vocalist, and a drummer that plays live covers of songs you and I know AND love. They crank out the hits, man! I heard«Blurred Lines» and some notable 80’s badass music too! They were simply the ONLY reason why I would ever go back to WOB’s. I was invited in from Austin to see my friends play a gig(see above) in San Antone. I was SUUUUUPER excited about going to said gig because 1) i hadn’t seen my friends in a hot minute, 2) my sister and I REEEEALLY love draft beer and 3) since I read that World of Beer had casks and kegs of beer I could not find anywhere, well besides maybe Hills and Dales, under one roof in San Antonio I HAAAAAD to make it out to check out my friends and drink damn good beer while I was at it. My sister lives in San Antonio and was very familiar with the area where WOB’s lives. I didn’t know they had a fancy butt Alamo Drafthouse!!! Why don’t we have that here in Austin!!! I also didn’t know WOB had NOKITCHEN! SAAAAAYWHAT? This big ol’ place has NO kitchen? Dang, I thought for sure they did because why else would my server take so long in getting me a beer or why else would our waitress take a long time, seemingly, to make the rounds? I for sure thought they were pulling food and delivering/taking orders from patrons. My sister and I decided to take a tour, if you will, of beers from San Antonio all the way back to Austin. We started with a Ranger Creek TRES(San Antonio) then moved over to Guadalupe Brewing Co beer called Americano Wheat Ale(New Braunfels), and decided our last beer would be an Independence Ale(Austin) to end our evening. We both could have drank more and kept going down the other Texas beers but I just wasn’t feeling the vibe or the service. She and I both decided to call it an early evening and head to the store for some good ol’ fashioned Shiners. The place was great, there was seemingly enough seating for everyone, and the music was spot on. I was disappointed I couldn’t indulge in some appetizers and was surprised no food truck was available outside for us to enjoy. I would recommend to the owners to maybe feature a food truck every month that your beer patrons can enjoy that is local and easy to have come park in the front or side of the bar. This way you are supporting another business while still gaining business for yourself/beers. Each review I see wants food so give it to us!!!

I dig this place. Lots of good beer. and happy people that go here. I like that they play beer pong. You can usually find a band here playing. The vibe is certainly friendly. Its a chill kind of place for sure.

It’s about time we have a place like this here! Excellent craft beer selections, TVs, great service, and clean. No food at all which is a downside, but they have menus of local places and allow you to have food delivered or bring in your own! Smart idea!

We went in here on a wim after coming out of the Drafthouse for a movie and having terrible service; I wanted a drink! And there was World of Beer; ripe for the drinking. It has a nice patio area and a nice inside area, and they had live music playing that was pretty damn awesome; though I never got the name of the band. They have a very wide menu of beers, and even explain what the different types of beers mean/are. I got my regular, and then decided to try an Amber Lager that our server recommended; I didn’t care for it. All in all, I’d go back just to try some different beers, took me a little while to get service at the bar, but once we sat down we were golden.
