I will never be back to this location. My mom and I ate there this Sunday, our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, however the lady who brought us our food(Rosa) didn’t say a word when she got to the table, threw my mom’s plate down, and slid mine in front of me. My eggs had a hair in them, which I immediately noticed, I nicely remarked that there was a hair in my eggs, she rolled her eyes(still hasn’t said a word), picked up my plate and walked off. I waited 30 minutes for my food, while my mom was already done with her breakfast. When I mentioned all of this to the«head manager» he made it seem like it was no big deal, and would not remove my meal from my ticket. I will never be back, and neither will ANY of my family. I wish I could have given them 0 stars. Which is sad because we have been coming to cracker barrels all our lives.

I haven’t been to Cracker Barrel in a long time… and only because I’ve been on a serious health kick! My husband decided to take me to breakfast last Sunday and we ended up here. Our server, Crystal, is one of the reasons we’ll keep coming back. Phenomenal service with a down home touch… our coffee cups were never empty, we got piping hot biscuits and our food came out quickly. I ended up ordering a light plate of scrambled egg whites, fruit, turkey sausage and grits and my husband ordered the French toast plate. The food came out quickly. .hot and ready to be inhaled. Our coffee cups never ran dry and we didn’t even have to ask for extra creamers or sugar… Crystal just kept bringing them. We even got extra biscuits, fresh out of the oven! Of the few times we’ve been to a Cracker Barrel, this was defintely the absolute best… we’ll call ahead to see if Crystal is working the next time we go!

Called to get information on the wait time and the lady told us that she could not give that information over the phone? Are you serious???

I ordered one meal for take out on a week day evening. After waiting 30 minutes I asked the status of my order. It took the waitress another 10 minutes to tell me the kitchen had made a mistake & would have to remake my dinner. Another 20 minutes past before I got my meal & then the cashier couldn’t find my ticket. I wasn’t the only person having problems that night because I heard several other patrons complaining during my extended wait. To add more pain to my experience, when I got home with my meal, it wasn’t just cold but each item was either over cooked, greasy, or poorly prepared. I won’t return to this location ever.

I went to this Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast/brunch with my family(parents, brother & daughter) as we were leaving our mini vacation in San Antonio from Dallas. We went on a Sunday at around 12 noon and the only con to this visit was the wait time(45mins-1hr) BUT I don’t blame them at all considering they were swamped with the people and the food is so darn good! To top it off, our waitress was a middle-aged white woman who was so compassionate and gave off the caring vibe. I wish I would’ve gotten her name): I’ve only been to a Cracker Barrel once in my life(I was less than 10 years old) and man have I been missing out. I am super picky about going to eat somewhere because I have to love their sweet tea, and their sweet tea was on point! We all shared biscuits and gravy(biscuits fresh & warm). I shared a plate w/my daughter that included pancakes, sausage, bacon, and eggs w/cheese — all great!

The service was terrible. We walked out after not being helped for over 10 minutes. Servers were walking past us constantly and never even asked for our drink order. We made eye contact with servers and the hostess and no help or acknowledgement was given. I definitely do not want to go back to Cracker Barrel EVER again! This is the second time we have had a bad experience but at least the first time we had a server!

Service was slower than a turtle and hash brow. Casserole was dryer than sand in the desert.

They told us it would be a 30 minute wait. We waited 40 minutes and were told we still had 20 people in front of us. We would never have waited over an hour for such a mediocre restaurant. They lie to get people to stay. Terrible customer service.

I walked in and was seated quickly. I continued to sit. A family walked in about 8 minutes into my sit. About 5 minutes later they were offered service. I stood up and left still thirsty and hungry. Fairly obvious lack of quality management.

What is there not to love about this place? Tonight I had the Thursday special. Turkey and dressing! My server took a little while to get to me but the food came out fast and hot. I indulged and had dessert. Peach cobbler. Had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The best part was the store that is attached to the restaurant. Found a birthday card and gift in the store!

My family loves Cracker Barrel. Unfortunately, this particular one is poorly managed. If you arrive and there is a wait, I strongly recommend leaving. The staff fails to immediately seat and holds tables. This significantly increase wait times past what is advertised on arrival. Our wait time was advertised at 25 minutes based on a computerized system calculation of average flows for a Cracker Barrel. I know this because a friend actually designed and helped write the software. We were not seated for more than 95 minutes. I watched many clean tables stand empty for more than 30 minutes after being seated.

45 minutes to give us a table, on a MONDAY, and 30 minutes waiting and still no food. A total hour and 15 minutes later and our food isn’t here yet. I knew there was a reason why I hated this place, I just forgot for a second. We are never coming back. It’s the same at ALL Cracker Barrels I’ve ever been to. The food is good but not extraordinary, definitely not worth the wait and pain. The only reason we’re still here is because we are starving and figure the food MUST be coming out any second. Cracker Barrels have the WORST service ever.

Amazing selection of southern style comfort food from in-house made biscuits and grits/gravy to home style chicken fried chicken and steak and more! Greta service at this location. If she’s here, we were waited on by Maya and she was excellent. There’s a store built into the place with trinkets and fudge and everything in between! Won’t be my last time here.

While staying in San Antonio and spending Thanksgiving with family, we had to check out Cracker Barrel to see what all the hype was about. We were here on 11.24.15 We were not disappointed. My wife had been craving the Chicken n’ Dumplin’s. I had to try the Country Fried Steak. Both were delicious. You know, they really get you too. With the gift shop as you enter, you can’t help but browse while waiting for a table. And as you are leaving, you remember other things you saw and considered buying. I would say the food and experience lived up to the hype. I wish they would open a Cracker Barrel in the Los Angeles Area. Even better in the San Fernando Valley area!

We visited this restaurant around 3pm yesterday and it was moderately packed(a little less than anticipated considering it was a Sunday and we were expecting a much larger lunch crowd). I had the pecan pancakes with bacon, eggs and a side of cheese grits. The food was excellent. The service(considering the amount of traffic in the restaurant to wait staff ratio) was quite the opposite — very slow. It was a noticeable amount of time before a manager(not even a waiter) stopped by the table and asked if our drink order had been taken which it had not been. Food also took a while to come out too and I wished my pancakes came with more syrup but seeing the pace of things, I would have finished my meal before the extra syrup came, so I went without. When our ticket came, they messed up(they charged us for biscuits when they should have been included with the meal) and when trying to correct that, we were unable to spit off our individual entrees(I was there with a co-worker) which made it kind of awkward because he ended up having to purchase BOTH of our meals and a tip and we agreed that I would just purchase lunch next time.

Great service tonight. Our waitress was wonderful However the service is not always great, most cracker barrels are understaffed. We have also noticed you have to beg for biscuits and cornbread.

Service is slow and the waitress really needs to smile. The chicken n dumplings is basically boiled chicken with dumplings on top. I was hoping for a homestyle southern chicken n dumplings. And we barely got our food and handed a receipt after waiting so long for our food. Will not be returning

Every time we have visited cracker barrel we have been sat in the corner or near the kitchen(away from other customers). Seems to be a bit racy at times and shows with the service. My wife ordered chicken and dumplings and it wasn’t what we had in mind… more like paste and dry bird. Now I see why my wife doesn’t like coming here and this will be our last visit for sure

1st off I’m a nightshifter that wakes up between 1−2pm on days that I work, my husband wanted to go here for breakfast at 2p(yes breakfast!), we arrived and was seated promptly! Our waitress came to us and got our drink order(coffee :-) with lots of cream) and about 10 minutes later brought our coffee &2 creamers to us ;not my idea of lots since I take 3 per cup in mine! She walked away &2 minutes later came back for our order, which we pleasantly had told her before we wanted to enjoy a couple of cups of coffee before ordering! From that point on every couple of minutes either she or another waitress came by to take our order with us continually saying«no we aren’t ready we want to sit and enjoy our coffee» apparently they didn’t get that message because they continued to try & pressure us to order! So after our 2 cups we ordered! 25 minutes later the food came to us COLD and tasteless! It’s very noisy in these establishments & the food is mediocre at best! Even our coffee experience wasn’t pleasant during our visit! Will I return? NOPE!

On my visit to San Antonio I noticed there was a Cracker Barrel in the area & I don’t pass up a Cracker Barrel since they don’t have any on the west coast where I’m from(Cali). My experience has always been pleasant, and the food is excellent. Well, this visit is no different. I must say the chain is definitely consistent with service & food quality as I’ve been to the restaurant in quite a few different states, and I’ve never been disappointed. I love the country store as you can find some really unique gifts, and all the nostalgic candy from my childhood days, which Brings back so many memories. Will always recommend to visit no matter what city you’re in, the experience is always great, and you never know what unique item you’ll find at the country store.

There’s a few locations around Texas and we finally stopped in one to check it out. This is such a cool spot because it’s a general store with a café next door! You can all sorts of knick knacks at the store– candies, chocolate, jams, Etc along with t shirts, toys, and other various goodies. The café next door has a very southern feel(hence, you’re in Texas) so it was a nice experience. Definitely try their country fried steak with hash casserole. Portions are fairly large(as is normally in Texas) so it’s sharable if you’re not super starving.

I went during the week for lunch so the place was full but there was no line. The service was fast & friendly! I had the chicken sliders. Not my favorite, but the biscuits & cornbread are awesome! I was next to a big table full of cops. Really fun experience.
