My husband and I went in for the first time last night… while we were sitting there we witnessed the boy Ben blow his nose over the food and THEN return to cutting up the sausage without washing his hands… when I tried to quietly say something to him he got an attitude with me and stated to me that the sausage gets cooked anyways. It was so disgusting I asked for my money back and went to Tiu Steppi’s where the food and service were awesome(first time I had been there as well) The rest of the kids were very polite and I think slightly embarrassed by their co-workers actions. I think it would be to their advantage to have an adult manager at night. With that being said I will NEVER return. Disgusting

I’m done with this place. Ordered for delivery and was told 30−40min. 65min later I called and the kid told me they got lost and brought the pizza back. When I asked why they didn’t call me he said they would put it back in the oven to reheat it. I told him to keep it as I still didn’t get my refund from the last time they charge my card and didn’t show up.

This is really irritating that I have to leave a negative review. The pizza at Little Nicks is actually quite good but that’s it. Tonight was only the second time I ordered delivery from this place, the first time took them 2 and a half hours to show up with cold pizza and they didn’t even refund my money. The pizza is good so I thought I would try again, over an hour later I called them and they said that they had the wrong address and when I asked why they didn’t call me, they said sorry. I have never had another place be so incompetent with delivery. I will be filing with the BBB for the first time when they did not refund my money.

Ordered eggplant parm sandwich. The eggplant was so tough it was coming out of the sandwich in big chunks with each bite. I took the eggplant off and tried to just eat the bread and cheese, and there was a very heavy garlic flavor(and I really like garlic). It was starting to make me feel sick so I just threw it away. Husband ordered the italian panini. He said the bread was tough making it hard to eat. Just not a good experience.

Seriously. I don’t care how long it will take for a delivery — just tell me the *real* time, not 30(and counting!) minutes after the time you said! At this point, I don’t care how great the food is. Don’t offer delivery if you can’t deliver in a timely(or honest) manner. Never making the mistake of getting pizza here again.

Pizza was ok, since it’s close by I usually get take out or delivery. but this place is run by a bunch of teens, always messing up my food. The one time I went to pick up a pizza, asked this guy with blonde fro if my orders are double checked, told me yes. I went home and it wasn’t correct… I didn’t bother to call bc I’m officially will not be ordering from them.

What can I say about Little Nicks, but Amazing! We no longer buy pizza anywhere else. I love it, wife loves it, and kids love it. Why go anywhere else. Their pastas, amazing, their calzones, amazing! Anything you choose you’ll like. James will take care of you there.

The pizza here is quite delicious, thin crusted New York style pizza. Nick has been there most times I come by and is quite friendly and talkative. Its also conveniently located and well priced, what much more can you ask for?

The Garlic Knots are the best I’ve tasted in San Antonio. I like the cozy atmosphere and the staff is super friendly!

Oh, how I hate thee… let me count the ways. Called in an order on a Sunday afternoon, was told 30 mins. I stopped in around 25 mins later, paid(& tipped, unfortunately). There was only one table of ladies eating in, that’s it. I asked the girl how long she thought the wait would be, she turned to look at the tickets posted in front of the boys making the pizzas. «10 mins or so». Little did I know, my order was going to be the complete last order they took care of. I waited a whole 50 mins sitting there after I was told it was a 10 min wait. What I don’t understand is if the girl at the counter knew I was the last ticket, why was I told 10 mins? To add, while I sat there I had plenty of time to observe that this place is apparently being managed only by a bunch of teenagers. The boy with the ponytail putting the pizzas in the oven must have opened the oven every 5 seconds as if that was going to make everyone’s pizza cook faster. To be even more annoying, when my 2 pizzas were done they forgot to put the garlic knots in the oven, which I had indeed paid for. Waiting even longer for this food, she tells me, «I added one extra garlic knot for the wait». I’m sorry, one extra garlic knot does not justify how long I waited. It’s a good thing you make people pay beforehand because your food and service sucks. Never coming back to this establishment again.

Came in during lunch today due to the great reviews. Literally some of the best pizza slices and pizza rolls I’ve ever had. Garlic knots were so so. But if you’re craving pizza… This place is awesome.

Little Nicks specializes in NY style pie: cracker-thin, crisp slices, not the large, foldable version. They also have some pretty incredible garlic knots(more on those later). This is a great lunch option, with many combo options under $ 10 including slices, sandwiches, and a pasta of the day, or a Stromboli big enough to feed two peeps. Food is decent and the prices are great, but the service needs work. Went for an early dinner pickup and five staff were present. This only stands out because I waited 15 minutes for my order, because the girl who took my order never bothered to tell the guy making the pizza. Or maybe he just never checked, despite me siting and waiting for an order right in front of the oven. They finally caught the mistake though, and in lieu of an apology, popped some extra garlic knots in my order. So about those knots. They’re large, hand-rolled, pull-apart style, with bits of parmesan, garlic, and herb seasonings wrapped in, and they’re brushed with olive oil. They’re downright sinful, way better than the pizza! LIFETIP: You don’t need pizza AND garlic knots in one meal. So order your pizza for dinner(if you must) and get the knots for the next morning. Heat those babies up and serve with some eggs(ideally poached) for a kick-ass breakfast. You’re welcome.

This place has the best pizza in the area by far. Pretty cool restaurant as well. Small and has kind of an old American Italian feel to it.

I don’t know what happened. It had been awhile since I visited Little Nick’s, but really wanted pizza and not to drive far, so I stopped in. I walked in and it smelled great. There as one worker working the counter and cooking. But right away I noticed that the open kitchen was very dirty. I noticed that there were two sodas out on the fountain. On the drive up window there was a sign made on an order ticket saying honk for service… I just found myself wondering, my god, what happened here? I decided to order anyway, since I was starving. I got two slices and sat down to eat. The slices were okay, not as good as I remember them being. My soda was flat. I figured there was no use in complaining since the owner or manager apparently gave up on keeping that up. I looked up to see about two years worth of dust on the ceiling fans and scooted back in hopes that dust particles wouldn’t fall on my food that way. I actually sat and watched the worker do their job for a while, it seemed like the kitchen made no sense. A lot of walking back and forth, such a time sucker. One customer tried to order the pasta special spaghetti and meat balls but the pasta was way over cooked, and mushy. The worker seemed embarrassed because they refused to serve it. What seemed to be a former employee stopped by to get a paycheck, and then proceeded to have a conversation about how this place was a joke. I feel bad, writing this review saddens me a little bit. But I feel like the owner just gave up on this place. I can no longer recommend it to my Unilocal community. I hope they clean the place up and turn things around.

I had a craving for pizza so after reading a few reviews I decided to come here. The staff was very friendly and even gave me a sample of the garlic knots. I was happy to hear that they had garlic salt available(best thing to put on NY style pizza). The food looked fresh, hot, and the crust was crispy(and not greasy). The slices were not as big as you get in NY, but they were still foldable. Now for taste… the pizza was a bit on the bland side for my taste. With that being said my overall opinion is that this place has great service with average to slightly above average food.

WOW! I am completely amazed at this pizza My sons and I went here the other night for dinner, and almost didn’t go in because no one was there. We talked about how good this pizza must really be if no one was there eating it. BUT, I liked the pics I had seen on Unilocal and decided to try it. We ordered the garlic knots and they were very delicious. Be sure to ask for marinara to dip them in… takes the knots to a whole other level. For our pizza, we opted for the«THECHRISICILIAN». Basically 4 individual pizzas for less than $ 30. The ones we got were: The Virgin White with chicken, Cave Man, Cheese and Margarita pizzas. OMG! SOOOO Delicious! And each pizza is large enough for 2 – 3 people to share. I can’t wait to go back and eat here again!

I was expecting delish pizza after hearing so much about this place. What a surprise! The thin crust is pretty good, but spare yourself the misery of looking for a great tasting pizza. It ain’t going to happen here. Maars knocks the socks off this place. The garlic knots were a dry-bread joke of some sort. I don’t know if we got there too late and ended up with what was left from earlier in the day or if the knots taste that dry and rancid on a regular basis. I won’t even comment on the sugary red dipping sauce. Doesn’t matter. It’s not in my top 10 pizza joints. I’d rather burn a Tony’s in the oven for dinner. Just sayin’

Was craving real pizza so upon my finances recommendation we decided to come to Little Nick’s. Before I start talking about how amazing the food was, let me give snaps to the wonderful employees here that welcome you when you enter and tell you goodbye when you leave. The girl who took our order was very patient and helpful to us since we were new customers. The food was exactly what I was craving. I got a «Chris-ilian» style pizza with just cheese and pepperoni, it was so fluffy and delicious. I really wish I had a ton of flyers and business cards from here to show my friends, this place is a hidden gem. I think I will rely on Little Nick’s to satisfy my future pizza cravings.

After reading about Little Nick’s bring one of SA’s best pizza places, we decided to check it out. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was really quiet. We had the place to ourselves. Long story short: the pizza is good. not the best I’ve had, but it ranks up there with my top 10. The crust is thin and crispy, and the sauce is a little on the sweet side(my husband loves, the sauce). The real clincher here are the garlic knots. They’re little bundles of perfection, with chunks of prosciutto and cheese. These were delicious! We were looking forward to the amazing service that we’d read about on previous Unilocal reviews, but everyone was pretty quiet and kept to themselves. Maybe they were having on off-day…who knows. But, we’ll definitely return for those garlic knots and we also want to try the pasta!

This is certainly a little hole in the wall pizzeria. The interior of the restaurant has 5 tables and some bar space, with a counter to order your pies. I like that they have pizza by the slice because it’s just a kiddo and me. We can’t eat a full pizza. The cost is spot on with slices being $ 2.50 and for 2 slices and a drink it’s $ 5.95. The pizza itself reminds me of the good ol days of going to the mall and getting your favorite slices handed over to you. The choices on the menu are slimmer than I prefer. But I can be totally happy with just cheese. The thin crust is crisp and the sauce is not over powering. Have to say it’s my new favorite pizza joint.
