Great, elevated-street-food-style tacos in a stylish, modern-looking setting. As you would expect, there are lots of different varieties of tacos, including breakfast tacos, all with excellent flavor. I was especially a fan of the seared ahi tuna taco, which is a somewhat fancy version of a standard fish taco with outstanding ingredients and the wonderful flavor of the seared tuna. The shrimp and pulled pork tacos were very good as well, as was the ginger rice. I’d order all of those again. The tortilla chips and sweet potato chips were both very good. I wasn’t a fan of the nearly flavorless, mushy corn ‘cake’ that came with the plates though, but that was a minor flaw to me. I think we were told that flour tortillas were only an option with the breakfast tacos; with the number of people with gluten issues these days, having flour tortillas on hand for other taco options might be of use as well. The jalapeño cucumber margarita is an interesting concept — it would be outstanding to me without the cucumber though.(Other people at my table thought the cucumber was a perfect addition; I just wasn’t a fan of the vegetable flavor in my drink while a straightforward jalapeño margarita would’ve been brilliant with the flavor and spice their current one included.) The restaurant is modern-looking, with high ceilings, large windows on two sides, lots of dark wood and dark, brushed steel. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and patient. I was here for dinner, but this might be an interesting place for brunch too. The set-up looked good — a huge number of steel pans lined up for the next day — and it would be nice, bright, and lively.

You walk into the establishment and its full of patrons standing around waiting for tables to clear. You’re thinking wow this place is packed it must be awesome. So you walk up to the hostess stand and attempt to make eye contact but they aren’t worried about you at all. They are chatting about their personal lives and totally oblivious to you. Four minutes later they look up and ask you if they can assist you. Wow you’re thinking did that just really happen? So you’re seated now. The whole time you’re ordering, you’re thinking«wow someone really put a lot of effort into this menu all of the dishes are so creative». But then(after a long wait) you receive your meal, which is warm if you’re lucky, and you realize you’ve been the victim of some sort of trickery. You’re thinking, how could the food taste so bad when it’s so cleverly named and it costs so much? But wait there are so many people here. You look around and everyone appears to be having a great time. It must be because they are drunk. You track down your waiter and order some sangria. 30 minutes later you receive a watered down alcoholic version of koolade. Well that wasn’t worth ten bucks. Let’s just go home now. Wait where is the waiter? Ten minutes later you’re literally attempting wave an employee down. Someone, anyone that can bring you the bill. You even think about going inside to run your own card. FINALLY the waiter has come back to let you pay. You graciously hand them your card. But what’s this? The waiter is suddenly very snarky. Could it be because they are overworked? Could it be that they have to scream over the obnoxiously loud music to take orders? Yep. That’s the taco and tequila experience. Proceed with caution

One of my fav brunch spots down town area. $ 20 gets you in on the action. I think mimosas are $ 1 ea after the first 2 so bring some change. Everything is fresh and delicious and the house dj spinning dance tracks and old school in the corner is a nice plus. This is for sure hipster vibe. Leave your babies at home and put on your cute clothes. Walking shoes would be nice so you can trot over to The Pearl(close by) to work off the chicken/waffles

Te amo tequila! I really like TNT… for happy hour. Cannot comment on the regular menu food items. Happy hour is a pretty good deal! $ 4 drinks and $ 1.50 tacos, yes please! The drinks are pretty good and the tacos are rather tasty. I assumed that the tacos would be tiny since they were only a $ 1.50, but they are a decent size. 3 tacos filled me up. The pulled pork tacos are delicious! I had my doubts, but I was pleasantly surprised. Plus they serve you a complimentary salsa trio with a side of tortilla chips and sweet potato chips. We did try the queso trio as well and that was very good. We had the wild mushroom queso, spinach & artichoke queso and chorizo queso. Service is about average. Not the best, but not the worst. I will definitely come back to TNT for a legit happy hour spot, but I also want to try their weekend brunch which is supposed to be awesome!

My sorority hosted a happy hour event here and it was wonderful! We had contacted TNT ahead of time to reserve space on the outdoor patio, and pre-pay for drinks and use drink tickets. When we arrived our space was already set up for us and they had a buffet set up for their house sweet potato chips and tortilla chips and three salsas for our group. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and constantly refilled our drinks and checked to see if we needed anything else. We had a little bit of a miscommunication with our drink tickets but the server and manager fixed it right away. Happy Hour is a great deal! $ 4 House Margaritas, Sangria and Mojitos, and $ 1 off wine and draft beer. They also offer tacos for $ 1.50 until 6:30(pulled pork, pollo verde, picadillo and black bean). I ordered two picadillo tacos and they were DELICIOUS. The tacos went perfectly with their complimentary chips and salsa. If you are wanting to have an event with a group, I definitely recommend this restaurant. Their outdoor patio is the perfect place to relax with a group of friends. Thanks, TNT! I can’t wait to try your weekend brunch!

We went to TNT at about 8.00 on a Friday night. There wasn’t any wait for a table and our waitress was very nice. Our drinks — Miller lite, jalapeño cucumber margarita, and a michelada — were tasty, cold, and arrived quickly. Unfortunately, we did not have such great luck with our food. The tacos arrived quickly, but the protein was cold. I ordered the tenderloin with chimmichurri, the seared tuna, and the pulled pork. The beef tasted like lighter fluid and/or burnt, and the chimmichurri was barely present. Our plate was served topped with an onion ring, which was weird and out of place, and it was also cold. Of the 3, only the tuna was warm. It was very tasty. It came drizzled with a wasabi mayo and sesame seeds. I didn’t bother to even try the pork because it was cold to the touch. The sides were pretty good. We enjoyed the ginger rice and the tnt corn is a boiled corn on the cob topped with mayo, spices, and cojita cheese. It was tasty! The final bill showed an extra charge for two of my three tacos. The 3 taco plate with one side was supposed to be $ 13(estimated) but I must have missed the notice on the menu that the beef and the tuna were a dollar extra. Overall, very disappointed with the food. Come for the drinks but eat elsewhere.

I come strictly for the hand shaken, no mix(hallelujah!) margs. They’re delicious and keep me coming in for happy hour. Over and over. The bartenders are generally cool and offer great service and delicious drinks. The location is prime. Free, easy parking in the garage next door. Fun, modern interior with a catchy playlist. Great patio and people watching. The problem? The subpar, lackluster food. I ate a few tacos once, meh. An alcohol sponge was needed but normally I’d have preferred to save the stomach real estate for something better. Those margs… I make sacrifices! Anyway, I ate again another time… I was hoping that maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen last time? Nope. My tummy and my wallet hated me. Again. The chips, 2 salsas and creamy sauce are also meh(re: alcohol sponge munchy, again). It’s jazzy that they serve tortilla and sweet potato chips but I swear the sweet ‘tato chips were stale and chewy as heck yesterday! Bah! Step up the food TNT! I will try brunch though… in ever loving hope that it’ll be good, again. Margs, YES! Food, NOOO! Drink at happy hour then cruise to eat at one of the many fine establishments a stone’s throw away.

Katie was a friendly server. We were surprised by how large the interior was — but we were also confused by the large painting of the two men that no one seemed to know the story about — someone tell me! Now for the food. I love that they give you a variety of chips. Their sweet potato variety were the best SP chips I’ve ever had. Salsa trio was overall good. Standout was the green salsa. We also got the queso flight — which was also overall good but I was somewhat disappointed that the different types were simply just different toppings on a typical queso base. Mushroom was my favorite. Taco combo of chimichurri steak and orange sriracha chicken was filling. Homemade tortillas and good meat portions. The masa side was unexpected yet pleasant, somewhat sweet. The corn side is by far their best side.

Came here for dinner for a bachelorette party. The atmosphere is nice and restaurant looked clean. The food was not that great. Tacos were cold and I had to sauce it up with guac and pico de gallo to give it more flavor. Drinks were overpriced and not strong at all. Not on my list of places to revisit.

Enjoyed brunch this morning with a few friends. We got to enjoy the vast assortment of options and we were not disappointed at all. The food was great, the music was on point, the mimosas were delicious and the service was amazing. Only reason for 4stars is due to the consistency of some items… Nothing major since there was so much to choose from. We will definitely be back.

Great event hosted by the restaurateur and the Unilocal event planners! Beautiful outdoor ambiance with lights, live DJ music made for an exciting evening. The staff was enthusiastic and upbeat. They spoke about their roots and how many of the menu options became hits. I especially loved the guacamole, so fresh! The pulled pork was tasty and the jalapeño cocktails! They had a taco bar set up with other meats, sauces and to top it all off a dessert table with mini churros, Mexican cake, and chocolate. I would def come back for their famous brunch which is a great value and even includes two mimosas! Hats off to the staff you are truly what all small businesses should incorporate passion, quality and great value for your customers! :)

Wow where do I start off with this review? My coworkers and I Just got done from running for a charity and decided to have brunch on a Sunday. First of all the staff was amazing and attentive. I love that they played great music. The DJ is a really great idea for Sunday brunch. There is a huge variety for the brunch buffet which was only $ 22 and included two mimosas. I love how you can get pineapple, grapefruit or orange mimosas. Another drink that was part of the buffet was a fresh watermelon drink which was absolutely amazing. You can sit indoors or outdoors. Amazing Sunday brunch

This place has AMAZING drinks!!! The food is great. The weekends they have a brunch for buffet for $ 20. It includes 2 free Mimosas and an all you can eat breakfast and dessert bar. The food consists of eggs, waffles, barbacoa, enchiladas, bread, pancakes and so much more!!! The buffet is weekends only from 10 – 3. On a regular weeknight they have happy hour from 4 to 7 and tacos are 1.50. The drinks are delicious. I ordered the toasted coconut margaritas and omg… seriously the BEST drink on the margarita menu!!! If your a tequila drinker this place is for you. They do carry well vodka, rum and other liquors but the specialty here is obviously tequila!

Brunch Brunch Brunch Brunch!!! The brunch at Tacos and Tequila(hence forth referred to as TnT) has quickly climbed to my top of my «It’s Sat/Sun AM and where can we go» list. Check in with the host and you’ll quickly be whisked to your table. First timers can get a quick tour and crash course on how brunch at TnT works: $ 20 for an amazing buffet spread consisting of salads, make your own tacos bar, made to order omelets, biscuits and gravy, spicy green pasta, macaroni cheese, enchiladas, breakfast potatoes, soups, etc.(I could keep going but I’ll allow you to experience it first hand). While they do offer all you can drink aquas frescas on the buffet, don’t forget that your meal does come with two flavored mimosas of your choice to boot! The food on the TnT brunch offerings will easily satisfy everyone in your party and is so damn delicious. Then there is the atmosphere: relaxed, chill, trendy. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available(with a pet friendly patio I believe) and they have a DJ spinning current pop and dance music. So I know you’re thinking«everything you’ve stated is so awesome, why only four stars?» Service is a little hit n miss but keep in mind, I don’t go to brunch in a rush or on a schedule. Be laid back, relaxed, sip those great mimosas(each additional one after you’ve had your two that are included are only $ 1), have some great friends with you and enjoy. Afterall folks-that’s what brunch was made for,

My husband loves this place and he has been here a few times for lunch with his coworkers so it was finally time for me to go with him. The place is pretty cool and it seems very laid back which I liked and there’s also a beautiful decorated bar and some TVs! Our server was great all night and he was very attentive and always there for anything we needed it. Now to the food… When we sat down we got an order of chips(corn and sweet potato) inside a brown bag and three sauces(green tomato salsa, smokey salsa and a ranch mix) to go with it… The sweet potato chips were cold, but they were still delicious and the sauces were perfect! For our entrée I ordered the two tacos(Skirt steak and chimichuri beef) and a side(smoked beans) platter and by husband got the three tacos(ahi tuna, rojo shrimp and korean) and side(ginger rice) platter. My husband loved every single one of his tacos and side, but I was not impressed… On both my tacos the meat was cold and it was hard to chew because it was kinda tough, which I was surprised about… even getting past that they just had no amazing flavor and I was quite disappointed! I will be coming back on a night that they are not very slow and I am hoping my food will be warm and maybe I will try a different protein and give them a second shot. I hear their brunch is fantastic!

So I absolutely love their creamy chipotle? Sauce that comes with the chips. I haven’t yet figured out if it’s this or the oil the chips are made in but something gives me serious stomach upset EVERYTIME I eat it. I’ve gone back because it’s so good and I thought it was a coincidence but lo and behold over 4 or 5 times now. I’m curious what’s in this sauce and what they cook their chips in… I’d like to get to the bottom of this so I know what to avoid specifically. Maybe a personal food allergy? My friends don’t seem to get the same reaction. It sucks because it tastes so good! Manager wrote to me with ingredient list. I think it’s just my over sensitive stomach and the fact that I tend to eat a ton when I go there;-) super nice of them to provide the ingredients! Thank you!

Overpriced food should not be bland. We had the mixed skewers and the 3 tacos platter: The mixed skewers had the shrimp, chicken and beef. Shrimp died due to an O.G.: over grilling. It didn’t help that it had enough onion and garlic to keep Dracula put in Transilvania. The chicken was dry and beef was, well, pretty good actually, cooked medium, still full of flavor. The 3 tacos consisted of beef kimchi, salmon and shrimp. The beef, sans tortilla and garnish, was better than the sum of the whole. The other two tacos, pretty bland at best, worse than a basic bitch. The shrimp was grilled alright, but also overgrilled. The few remnants of flavor and spices were pretty much burnt onto to the shrimp. Drinks were too sweet for my taste. The mule, although boozy, was sweet enough that it made my blood pressure rise a few mm/Hg. The margarita, well let’s just say it made my butthole pucker up. Will I be back? Prolly not. It didn’t help that it seemed like they were rushing us out. Two stars for green salsa and chips and roasted corn — those were good!

Grabbed a late night drink here the other night with a date. I had the cucumber jalapeño margarita and I loved it. It was pretty dead when we came but the service was very attentive and very nice. They gave us chips and salsa which were a perfect pair with our margaritas. I love how the area it’s in is revamping itself with cute lofts and nice restaurants. I definitely am looking forward to coming back on a Friday night when it’s more lively. The drink menu looked creative, so I can’t wait to try something new again.

Went here for a Sunday brunch with my friend. I was surprised to see that there was a DJ in the corner, which was… interesting to say the least. It had a club-ish vibe. The server was extremely nice & attentive. The brunch buffet was decent, with food ranging from chicken & waffles, chicken enchiladas, to migas & tacos. They offer two complimentary mimosas with brunch: Orange or cranberry. Both just tasted like juice with no Champaign. Overall good experience, however I prefer a more toned down experience for a Sunday brunch.
