VIP Passport To Margaritas

After two years away from the SA Unilocal event scene, I finally happened to time my visit to coincide with an event! Our new CM was awesome about allowing me to participate with my last-​minute RSVP, and was warm and personable throughout. Great to put a real face to the name and emails.
Two Step was busy, but Unilocalers had a dedicated dining room and space on the patio to munch some apps (the firecracker shrimp were my fave!) and sample 5 drinks (crafted by Two Step’s own staff bartenders!) running for a spot on the menu.
Drinks were all over the place. Two were fruity, two had hints of spice, one was heavy on the bourbon, and they also offered up a sample of their award-​winning El Jefe marg (worth the raves!). We were able to vote on our favorite with tickets, and got a skip-​the-​line wristband to get extra trips back for more.
End-​of-​event swag bags included a pint class, drink koozy, and our own Unilocal Passport of Margs, all in an eco-​friendly reusable bag. I’ll be sippin’ some Shiner out of mine when I get back home. Cheers to a fun event with a sea of new Unilocaler faces!

Two Step is my favorite spot in San Antonio! I go there all the time… great service. I’m glad the Unilocal crew joined forces with them for an evening… incredible!

Had an awesome time this week with the Unilocal family at Two Step Cantina. The Unilocalers were full of new spots to try and the restaurant was ever so attentive in keeping the appetizers flowing. I sampled some of the new margaritas the bartenders created and voted for the one that didn’t burn the inside of my lungs.
The venue was a tad bit away from my work which did make it a little harder to get to after work. I enjoyed meeting Julie and Krista and Thomas and am amazed as our Unilocal family continues to grow. I will continue to look for Unilocal Events and must say this place had no available parking so either the food is Fabulous or the Drinks which were free flowing Are very stiff.
All in all I had a Great Time!

Wow, what a great event! It was such a pleasure to finally meet Tomas, our Unilocal host. What a great way to get to know other Unilocalers and have good food, drinks and fun. The staff at Two Step was so awesome. They were all super nice and so friendly! I can’t wait to go back.

I’m dying of suspense — anyone know who won the drink competition? Anyone? I’m hoping Nadia cause I’d SO drink her creation on the regular.
Lots of new faces and our own private room! As usual, Tomas had the Unilocal swag flowing. The Margarita Passport was clever and fun… I made my way down a long table tasting various competing drinks to make the Two Step menu/​be the 2015 champion. As I’ve already stated: Nadia’s drink won in my book by a landslide! No difficulty for me.
The appetizers were pretty tasty… especially the sauces. Next time: more El Jefe Margaritas, Two Step!

Two Steps then a whole lot of Fun!
Wednesday night was a blast at Two Steps!
First and foremost, was the Margarita tasting, OMG!
Out of 6 tasty samples, I couldn’t decide. Finally I narrowed it down to
one. That was the hardest thing to do. Then I met a lot of new Unilocalers, so many
new faces, its awesome! Thank You Two Steps for the tasty appetizers, which
included flautas, shrimp rolls, chips and queso. The staff was very nice and attentive.
Thank You Tomas for putting together this Awesome Event!!! The Passport to Margaritas
was a great idea! Loved it! Looking forward to the next event!

Awesome fun Unilocaly great event. The venue is fantastic. So cool how they converted this old homestead into a fun happening cantina. Thank you Tomas and Two Step for all the wonderful Texas hospitality you showed us.
I loved the little passport we got then getting it stamped as we tried the different adult beverages. The voting was difficult as there were some very good drinks we sampled. I look forward to seeing which one won and ends up on the menu.
I enjoyed the appetizers very much. Was great seeing so many Unilocalers in attendance. Always nice to see new Unilocalers experiencing their first events.

Awesome, this place is good for drinks and food. Unilocal party was cool. If you haven’t joined you’re missing out!

The venue for this event used to be a a homestead and has great character. The patio is marvelous with plenty of room for hosting celebrations. And while we on the subject of celebrating, I gotta say, the food is cause for celebration! Unique apps like brisket flautas and the sauces that come with are the bomb diggity! What fun it was to check out all the different margarita concoctions the friendly, good looking
Staff created. My fav was Alex’s Cranberry Kiss Ryan’s Two Steps to Paradise was a super close second. Great job guys! All in all my squad and I had an ultrafab time :)

Beautiful evening for outdoor live music, spirit tasting and appetizers. Good friends and ambience. The restaurant staff is friendly and courteous. Thank you for this Wednesday opportunity.

I had my first experience with a Unilocal event tonight and it was definitely worth it. I got a chance to meet some of the people I had only had contact with online, including a friend from Las Vegas
I came into the restaurant and waited a while as I was here early. When i was shown to the back room there was a short line of people waiting to check in. I Immediately recognized Tomas from his profile online. He was as friendly in person as he was on the site. I got checked in, got my name tag and sat down. I waited for a friend of mine to get there to complete the experience.
Cindy got there and then we got our appetizers they were all good but our favorite one was the shrimp. We were able to get a few seconds but they were very popular and got eaten up quickly. Then came time to get the free samples of margaritas outside on the patio. There was a wide variety of Margarita samples with ingredients from old bay spice to jalapeños to fruit and cucumbers. Each one was good in its own way and it was hard to choose a favorite. The people behind the tables were very polite and engaging. I won’t say which one I voted for, but I went with my heart. As the night went on it got more crowded and more fun. There’s something about more and more people gathering that makes an event so much better.
I give a big thank you to Tomas for bringing this event together and the opportunity to attend. I look forward to future gatherings and experiencing more new foods, drinks and businesses.

Another awesome Unilocal event! Margarita tastings were a «flowing» and appetizer samples were delicious! The shrimp rolls were so tasty! By far my favorite! All the staff at Two Step’s were incredibly friendly and attentive.
There were so many different varieties of margaritas to taste. I voted for the «Texas Smoke» which had a «BBQ rub» background flavor. My margarita palate leans more towards drinks that are less sweet. I want to taste more of the tequila flavor and the «Texas Smoke» accomplished that. If you’re like me and favor «less» sweet margaritas, then get the «El Jefe». It’s pretty legit and already won the 2015 margarita pour off.
All in all, this was a great event where we had a lot of fun!
