Last week my adult daughter and I went there for lunch. While the food was very good, the service was nothing short of horrible, hence the one star rating. The older lady that took our order was rude, rude and rude.(She was wearing a turquoise hooded jacket.) She needs to be put in the kitchen and kept away from customers. We have been there in the past and when the girl with the bun takes our order she is great, but she was busy doing other stuff. And I’m guessing the wait staff is not expecting tips, because we heard from them two times; once when they dropped off our food and once when they saw that we got up to leave. My daughter had to ask the rude cashier for a to go box(and she was rude again.) This is only the second time in my life that I have not left a tip. I seriously don’t think that I will be going back. I guess the service cannot get any worse since it’s at the bottom.

The food isn’t bad at all. I’ve never sat in the restaurant to eat but I will say delivery is a little slow.

My husband and I moved here from Vegas, where Chinese food is everywhere so when we moved to this area we were happy to see there would be some Chinese restaurants near us. We ordered the Kung pao chicken and general Taos chicken with hot and sour soup and I was disappointed. I’m half Korean so I’ve had my fair share of Asian food, especially Americanized Asian food. The hot and sour soup was VERY sour. So sour that I couldn’t finish it and it hurt my teeth. The Kung pao chicken flavor was bland and not as spicy as Kung pao should be. The service was good and the prices reasonable but they need to rethink their spices and sauces. It wasn’t bad food, it just didn’t taste like your typical comfort Chinese food.

Used to frequent the potranco road location and was never disappointed. We moved across town and this location was closest. Walked in to order takeout and waited at the takeout register while the cashier helped the two families waiting to dine in, then continued to wait while more guests walked in. After about 10 minutes they finally called me over to the other register so I could order then I waited another 30 minutes for my food just to have them ask what my name was again and grab a bag that had been put there about 15 minutes before that. Needless to say, food was already cold after sitting there for 15 minutes before they gave it to me. I’ll be making the farther drive to the potranco location for now on

Had the shrimp pad Thai and egg drop soup. You really can’t mess up egg drop soup, reason for the 3 stars The shrimp pad Thai, was not that good at all and I love shrimp pad Thai, I’m very disappointed with the flavor, the only thing remotely noting is the spice, I’ve never had the dish spicy and it was, it was different but the overall flavor with the flavorless 5 shrimp and overlooked noodles was not good, would not recommend this place at all. I appreciate the delivery service. A

I ordered food 1& ½ hour ago and still has not arrived… that is terrible! I called store and spoke with Juan and he said all deliver orders is a standard of 1 hour. Tia yum takes 20 minutes and they are in the same area. Very disappointing! Never going to order from this place again.

Got takeout from the Wok Inn tonight, and I thought the food was great, AND the amount of food they serve for the price was fantastic! I got the cashew chicken, it COMES with a choice of rice anddd soup! All for like $ 8. That’s a lot of food. Calamari app is –o.k.-, probably not worth the $ 6 though. Lo Mein is delicious :) and the ginger chicken wontons were yummy too :) Totally recommend this place, I’ll definitely be returning

It’s decent and close to fast food quality. I prefer the Grissom location(the original) better. But this is still good. The interior is really nice. Which in a way makes up for the quality of cooking.

I was craving some Asian food so I decided to stop in. Well, the place is dirty and run down inside. The poor guy was sweeping instead of vacuuming the carpet. The tables were greasy the blue nods falling apart and the service sucked. NEVERCOMINGBACK!!! It felt like the A/C was broken too.

Holy cow is this place terrible. I haven’t had a place that was this terrible in my life. First let’s start with how many little bug were flying around. Next the food looked presentable but the taste was completely off We ordered two different dishes and they tasted equally bad. Never again

This place is pretty affordable! The food is okay, it’s not bad but not great either. I’ve been here quite often, so I’ve tried a fair amount of dishes. From what I’ve experienced the fried rice is good, the Hong Kong noodle soup is my personal favorite, and I do love the endless soup bar they have! However I don’t like the lack of seating, because this place get SO busy during lunch! It’s hard to find a seat unless your dining by yourself. Overall, I’d say this is a pretty decent place to eat if you’re a picky person like me.

It was ok. Bland. Could have been a lot better. Was surprised by how under seasoned it was.

Food was mediocre at best… Nothing special here. Your typical run the mill Asian cuisine in a hurry. My food was good overall. The cleanliness could have been better. The staff was pleasant, but your typical high school, first jober with limited skills. Will not be coming back.

So I ordered the Singapore noodles I did not like it at all they were dried out and tasted horrible. I was with my boyfriend and he said his food was okay so I decided to order something else, I ended up with the Mongolian chicken and the texture of the chicken was like somebody already chewed it was disgusting… Never again.

You Wok In and order your food and seat yourself. You’re given a number and food is brought out to you steaming hot. There’s also a soup bar you can help yourself to while you’re waiting for your food. Not a bad deal and I’ve never been disappointed coming here.

Wok inn has been a great place well before California invaded San Antonio’s NW side. While all the area was being developed Wok Inn has been providing quality food and great free soup. Pad Thai is wonderful, Chicken Lo Mein is great too. I can tell you they are not a corporate machine but a family owned established resturant. With their original being further down Culebra. Ambience is nice they went with a more«café» style for the new places. I’ve read some other reviews here and I know we review off the cuff, so until you’ve experienced the place a couple of times to get a real good average of service and taste you haven’t done it service. If you go during a rush it will be chaos yes but that’s our fault. Go outside of typical rush times and see how local they really are. Cheers!

Mixed feelings about this place. We usually get the pad Thai noodles and it’s good. Other times, it’s way too spicy or overbearing with sauce. It’s hit or miss. I’ve gotten the shrimp veggies plate too and the portion was rather small. The prices are reasonable, but I don’t mind paying more for a larger amount of food. The free soup bar does not get me excited. It’s free cuz the quality of the soups are subpar. People tend to stir and stir the pot and pick out all the contents. Kinda gross… like a buffet table. Overall, I would stop by here when I’m in the area and wanting a cheap quick Chinese meal. Would I take a date here? NO!

This Wok Inn is the best out of all the locations in my opinion. I LOVE the orange peel chicken! It actually has orange peel in the sauce! Always hits the spot! I love the soup bar! It is not fancy and for the price it is great food! It’s not meant to be 5 star dining and kind of reminds me of like a fast food Chinese food place but NOT in a cheap gross bad way!
