I’ve come here maybe 2 – 3 times when I was nearby. I only eat hawaiian bbq out on some occasions, and it’s only been at this place and Ono. The place was always packed at lunchtime when I went and it took me maybe around 10 – 15 minutes to get my food. The portions were a good size and it always got me full. I’ve tried the chicken katsu meal and the teriyaki chicken and I enjoyed both. The chicken wasn’t dried out and I loved the sauce on the side! The time I bought a chicken katsu for my brother, they were very accomodating and substituted extra rice for my brother instead of the veggies it comes with. Overall, I was happy and my stomach was happy. I’ll be back on the occasions I’m really craving it and i’m in the area.

This place was really good. I guess it use to be Ono BBQ but they changed to Maui BBQ. Same type of food though. It was good and lots of meat more then I expected. The beef was so tender it just pulled away on the fork chicken seemed a little tougher but it was all good. It was a little more pricey but you got so much more meat so it evened out. Place was nice and clean lots of seating but we took it to go anyway.

I come here at least once a week for lunch. I usually order the spam musubi or a mini meal. I always call it in since I am on a 30 minute lunch break. I call 20 minutes before leaving to lunch. It usually takes a couple of tries to get someone to answer the phone.(I take it that they don’t have call waiting) When they do answer they are very friendly and always have my food ready when I get there.(takes about 10 – 15 minutes for the food to be ready) Food is always hot and fresh. They have a very busy lunch crowd so if you are on a time crunch CALLAHEAD. This applies to any local place in this vicinity.

I’ve come here before and have gotten the chicken katsu meal which is normally pretty good. However today I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ mix for a second time(first time was not great either and thought it was a fluke) and was very disappointed. The BBQ beef was very bland and had no flavor until you added the teriyaki sauce. My short rib portion was burnt and not really edible. Needless to say this place is like the copy cat version of Ono Hawaiian BBQ that couldn’t get it right. Same menu and ingredients and still wrong. Also this place is not very fast. So my recommendation would be to call ahead if ordering out and stick with the chicken.

I thought this was An Onos location, but I was wrong. Either way, the hawaiian menu cannot change too much. I came here on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was empty with about 4 people inside. The moment I walked in everyone turned around and starred. It was extremely awkward. It was also painfully quiet inside. I ordered the mini chicken katsu and spam musubi. The food was great. Hot, crispy, and flavorful. The mini is a good portion of food. The spam musubi was less flavorful, but it was still worth my money. The customer service is horrible. The lady at the counter could care less. I stood at the counter for a while as she left to wipe tables. When my order was ready she put it on the counter, walked away towards the restroom area and shouted my number. The whole experience was awkward.

Went in at 10:30 and ordered a chicken katsu plate and waited almost 20 minutes and got a refund. I know they just opened and assumed some things would take longer to prep so i got the chicken katsu because its fried and assumed it would be quick. The girl at the front gave me my refund with a bad attitude and no apology definitely never going back.

Decent hawaiin food definitely not anything special. I ordered the Hawaiian bbq mix and spam musubi. If nothing else was open I might come here again. The food came out at a reasonable time.

We love their food. We have been going here for awhile now. This is more of a lunch spot, by no means is this a place to take someone on a date. It’s worth a trip if you are in the area.

I come in and«ashley» greets me with«yeah?» With an attitude. Whatever happens with her work she should not take it out on costumers. Very unprofessional.

Average, Nothing outstanding nor really bad. The meat was a bit on the dry side. Regular portions as other Hawaiian chains are large, Service was reasonably fast and cashier was patient with us.

I came with my gf here for the first time and the food was okay… I don’t like teriyaki too much but it was edible and was better than kther places that sells rise bowls… I personally wouldn’t come back but still good enough for me to write a review on ha!

This place reminds me a lot of Ono, same hats & uniforms, same menu really, except they have garlic shrimp here and Ono doesn’t. It’s a good little spot, my boss took me here for lunch and I enjoyed it. They were a little slow, 1 cook for like 10 orders yikes! They need to bump up a litlte more payroll for weekday lunch rushes. Overall, a nice place to eat and I wouldn’t mind coming here again.

The food is about as good as any chain Hawaiian BBQ place, and so are the prices and portions. What isn’t the same as most of the chains is the super long wait times. I’ve been here on several occasions and the wait each time has been about 10 minutes. When you’re on a lunch hour(or half hour), that just won’t do. Again, the food is good. I always go with the beef«mini meal»(no rice, extra cabbage). The beef isn’t too stringy and I’ve only found a few pieces of fatty stuff once. The beef is flavored well(slightly sweet but still tastes like beef) while the cabbage is cooked, but still slightly crisp. The macaroni salad side is pretty good too(though they taste very similar, I’m partial to Ono’s macaroni salad). This place is small and gets packed QUICK. So again, if you’re on a lunch hour(or pressed for time at all), be warned.

This is a pretty good Hawaiian BBQ place. The prices are a little steep. The mini meals(which are perfect for lunch) will cost you about $ 8 including the drink. The past few times I’ve gone, the BBQ beef has been pretty fatty. Still good, but if they are gonna charge that much for a small portion they need to try to cut down some of the fat. The BBQ chicken is pretty good too. If you don’t like macaroni salad or cabbage you can ask for all rice or vice versa. They don’t charge more to swap them out. They get pretty busy during the lunch rush There isn’t much seating inside and maybe one chair outside. So if you plan to go during those hours, might be best to take it to go. CATERING– I had my daughters birthday catered by them and was highly disappointed. Their portion sizes were so much smaller than I anticipated. They said the sizes would feed a certain amount of people so I bought accordingly. It’s a good thing a few guests didn’t show up because we wouldn’t have had enough food. Everyone enjoyed it, but it just wasn’t a lot.

The Hawaiin BBQ chain has always been a go to place. The portion of the food, with the macaroni salad, and side of rice is more than enough to get a person full! I always get the island white fish everytime I come here and it never fails. Some other recommendations I would definitely recommend is their famous kastsu and their need BBQ ribs. If your trying to come during the lunch rush, between 1130-130, it can get crowded and there’s not to many tables to sit a group bigger than 4 people. Just call ahead and that will fix the problem of waiting for your food. Prices range from $ 7 — $ 12, but it’s definitely worth it! Also on the side of the fountain drinks, there are two pumps from rn sauces you have to try, their teriyaki and kastsu sauce, which is essential for the meal!

A quick and yummy option during the lunch hour. The workers were really friendly and let me have the option of switching out options in a meal. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ plate which typically consists of barbecue chicken, beef, and kalbi short ribs. Instead of ribs, the cashier allowed me to switch it out for katsu chicken. You also had the option of switching out a scoop of rice with another scoop of macaroni. The meats were all cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. If you need extra flavor, they have teriyaki and katsu sauce available as well as sriracha and louisiana hot sauce. The serving size of the regular plate definitely had a good amount of food for a growing boy like me. They also had the option of ordering a ‘mini’ meal if you aren’t as hungry. I would’ve definitely given five stars if they had a student discount like other restaurants in the area. Aside from that, everything else was fine and dandy.

Food — I got their katsu and it was pretty good. Well cooked and fried. I would come back and get it again. Their macaroni salad tasted close to the one from Hawaii so it was good. Atmosphere — pretty decent size. NIce to have a family or some friends to eat with.

Place smells like sewage. I lost my appetite and walked out. I asked the clerk about the smell, she denied any smell… I thought it was just me until I saw other people complain about the same issue right here on Unilocal

While my mom was doing her weekly Costco run, I was hungry and craving chicken katsu. In my last visit, I remember this place had a pretty similar menu to the Ono Hawaiian BBQ in Redlands… almost exact. Coming here, I noticed the menu is fairly limited compared to Ono, their combo does not have much variety(I love when combos mix and match the different entrees together!), they don’t have much Hawaiian style sides and drinks(like Hawaiian Sun drinks… the best!) and I was sad that they did not offer curry with Chicken Katsu, which you can get at the Ono and L&L’s chains. The chicken katsu was okay, I’ve had better. Prices are standard. The service was pretty sad :(No happiness whatsoever when taking my order. I’ll stick with Ono and L&L’s from now on, who has more variety in food and drinks.
