My review doesn’t even deserve one star of how bad my experience was!!! On Monday March 7th At 2:00 I went to this location and decided to give it another try. WORSTMISTAKEEVER!!! My boyfriend had to drive back home while I was in the back seat in pain because my stomach hurt soooooo much that I needed to use the bathroom as soon as I got home I pooped all of my insides and threw up, I literally stayed in the bathroom for a hour until I felt normal again! NEVERWILL I EATHEREAGAIN!!!

Customer service is decent, the food is good, taqueria style, they just change the names of the items, like the carne Asada is steak. They claim to be all organic. I guess that’s why is more expensive than a taqueria. The food needs more flavor.

This is by far the worst Chipotle location I’ve ever visited. This place is very close to where I live so I thought I finally found a place to grab something reasonably fresh for lunch when I’m working from home, but I was wrong. VERY wrong. I tried this place more than once, the results are always the same: disappointment. I’m not going to make an exhaustive list of what was wrong with the food, it would be boring and other reviewers got pretty much all of it covered already. Chipotle is doing a HUGE disservice to its brand by letting this place be in business, they either staff it with a manager that knows what they are doing or they should just shut it down.

This place is run by a bunch of kids. Their meat is under cooked, stingy servings, and do not know how to wrap burritos. Young lady adds a second tortilla to wrap it because she couldn’t wrap the first one. Hmmmm… Had to remove the second tortilla once i started eating my food because it was too much tortilla. Don’t waste your money or time and go somewhere else in the mall. Worst chipotle i have ever visited.

Happy to see this join the food court. This finally gives that faux Mexican option. Interestingly, it is not as busy as I expected especially compared to the faux Chinese option next to it. People seem to prefer the faux Chinese about 8 to 1. Not sure if this is fall out from food poisoning issues in Washington state. I braved it and no illness.

I decided to see if this restaurant was kosher so I stepped in with an open open mind a friendly«shalom» on my tongue to the young goyim behind the counter. I asked if the pork here was kosher and the kalboynick responded«oy vey! What a cockamamie!» Understanding this I simply asked for two matzah tacos with avacado. The blessed bubeleh happily obliged but much to my horror the schmendrik shortchanged me a few shekels. 0⁄10 would not expend my chutzpah again

This was my 2nd time ordering Salad Bowl from Chipotle. 1st one was at Westfield Mall and the 2nd was at this Location in Tanforan. Comparing to the weatfield mall, Tanforan loaded my salad bowl with lots and grilles chicken was yummy, red pepper and cheese too… Very accommodating crew and delish food…

While waiting in line today I noticed one of the workers, a young tan girl with long long hair, SITTINGONTHECOUNTER in the back of the food prep area, watching her co-workers make guacamole. The lady next to me in line complained to one of the workers up front, saying her«dirty butt» was on a surface where food was being made. The worker just gave her a blank look. Moments later, the young girl hopped off the counter and started talking on her iPhone… while stirring the guacamole. She wasn’t even wearing a uniform. Or a hat to contain her butt-length hair. To Chipotle corp. and/or local managers, the next time I see that girl or one of your other employees violating the health code, I am going take a picture of the violation myself and report it to the San Mateo County Department of Public Health.

The chicken was SO burnt that I had to remove half of it(after paying for extra because they don’t give enough on a regular order) and I have to ALSO pay extra for the guacamole, and there was not one, but TWO slices of the avocado skin in the guac! It took the guy THREE tries to put brown rice instead of white rice in the bowl. I basically had to put my hand in front of the rice and yell… BROWNRICE before he got it right… on the third try. They recently raised there prices so I had to pay 13 dollars for half of what I paid for because this Chipotle SUCKS… and I’m sure they always will because they make a killing at the mall, and don’t need to fix making money hand over fist while paying teenagers minimum wage. the ONLY thing I like about this place is they play loud music.

I was always told to try something atleast once but Chipotle should have been the exception. Having heard nothing but good things from friends I decided to give it a shot but was extremely dissapointed. I had a burito with«veggies» instead of meat but already was upset when my veggies were just soggy grilled peppers that were rediculesly cold. I asked for them to add corn and was dissapointed to see it wasn’t grilled but rather cold watery canned corn. The pico de gallo was just tomatos. It took 3 people to make 1 burito and it was still terrible. The last person that wrapped it looked like they never wrapped a burito before and almost wrapped it like if it was an oversized soft taco. It wasn’t completely wrapped in foil so some iof the tortilla was popping out. There was no price for buritos on the menu but i thought it’d be about $ 5 – 6 for a veggie burito. It was $ 8 without the guacamole globs they scooped like ice cream(would have been $ 10 with it). Oh and no chips or salsa. Yay for overpriced crap! The worse part was eating it, i could literally hear and feel my stomach complaining while i ate this junk. Half of the burito was cold and half of it was warm… ish? The corn and«pico de gallo» tomatos were ice cold. I ended up picking out the cold grilled peppers because they were just nasty. I could have just thrown it all away but i had already spent my money on it and I don’t like wasting food even if it’s terrible. In the end i got food poisoning which I didn’t believe was possible on a meatless item until now. I had higher expectations for my first try at Chipotle but in the end i suppose their true customers are non-Mexicans with stomached made of steal. I learned my lesson and will stick to real taquerias.

Consistently skimpy. Been here 4 times and each time the burrito is tiny compared to every other Chipotle I’ve been to. I’m sure the manager is super proud of his or her food cost numbers. But give customers a poor value and watch the sales drop. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Let’s see, where do I start?! 1. They don’t have common sense. Common sense would tell you if you scoop salsa and there’s a lot of the salsa juices, you should drain some of it first THEN put it in a taco… 2. Because they did that, my tray was submerged in salsa juice which resulted in my my taco breaking. 3. When they made another taco, they missed the corn so I asked to pls add and Asian cat at the register gave major attitude and said something slick under his breathe. If you want incompetence, come here.otherwise.

One of the worst burritos ever! I decided to give it a try after the line at the Panda Express was so long and chipotle was none… Big mistake, I asked for a steak burrito and besides of being small side the meat it’s extremely bad, not just the taste but the quality of meat they are using is so poor that I had to take it out and eat a basically vegetarian burrito !!! Even if you are hungry … Don’t do this place, save your money and go dine somewhere else !!!

Anyway — I’m writing this message to complain about my experience at this particular Chipotle Restaurant. Several instances occurred which not only offended me but were not what I asked for. The first instance occurred when I was waiting in line; As I was waiting, I noticed a worker using a rag to clean the spaces between the trays that held food, such as the refried beans, black beans and fajita vegetables. As the worker was wiping the spaces, I noticed that the rag she was wiping with had partially dropped into the refried bean and black bean trays. She noticed that the rag had black bean and refried bean sauces on it and she simply threw the rag onto a table in the back as she began taking the order of the customer in front of me. She made no attempt to change the bean trays out and I found that utterly disgusting and unsanitary. The second occurrence was when I placed my order; Being appalled at the idea of eating beans that had a dirty rag dipped into them, I asked if I could substitute the«sofritas» instead of beans. I was told by the young lady taking my order(the same one who dipped the dirty rag into the beans) that I could substitute sofritas instead of beans. I asked for Carnitas as the meat but was told that no Carnitas meat was available so I settled for Chicken. The young woman then passed the order on to a young male employee. He asked me what I would like for the rest of the burrito and I requested«corn, lettuce cheese and salsa.». What I got was corn, cheese, salsa and guacamole. I did not ask for guacamole. Regardless, I was charged for the guacamole which I did not ask for and ended up paying $ 1.95 extra, for a burrito costing $ 9.43. If I wanted to pay nearly ten dollars for a burrito, I would have gone to a real, authentic, Mexican Taqueria for authentic Mexican Cuisine. I ended up paying for the burrito simply because I was not only hungry but a friend was waiting for me in the food court area so we could have lunch together and I did not want to keep them waiting. The burrito was not even a «burrito»; it was bulging so much that the tortilla could not contain the filling inside. The third occurrence: I had to end up getting utensils to eat the burrito, so I went back to the front counter and asked the cashier(a young female) if there were forks available. She said«Forks are over there» as she gestured to an area near the register which had holes which looked like they would hold things such as utensils. All of the holes were not labeled and were also empty of what I needed; A fork and a spoon. I went to ask the cashier about getting a fork and spoon but she was too busy talking and laughing with a co-worker to notice me. Luckily, the young man who made my burrito earlier had gone by and I asked him for a «fork and spoon». He gestured to the same area that the cashier had pointed out previously and said«They’re over there.» to which I responded; «You’re out of forks and spoons. Those are just knives.». The young man then started to talk to the cashier, saying«You have to keep this place super-stocked. I’m not kidding. You seriously have to keep this super-stocked all the time.». The cashier seemed to pay attention but didn’t answer. Eventually, the young man produced a handful of forks and spoons and placed them into the once-empty holes next to the knives and straws. With me still standing there, the young man did not apologize to me for not having what I needed when I needed it but they also did not show me any courtesy by at least personally handing me a fork and spoon. The service at this particular Chipotle is the worst I have ever seen from a Chipotle chain restaurant location. I will definitely not be returning to this location and I will be telling everyone that I know(and those who are willing to listen) about my extremely unsatisfactory experience at the«Tanforan Shopping Center Chipotle». I dislike the unsanitary conditions and the lack of attention by all the employees who not only get orders wrong but expect to swindle customers by adding on ingredients(which cost extra) that are not requested. I’ve already filed a complaint with the company using their website messaging system. Let’s see if I hear back from them.

This is my second time here first time I got grilled chicken burrito bowl, chicken was burned, second time chicken was also burned. So I decided to tell them they say they cannot control the cooking. really??? You cannot control your cooking??? Shame on you. My husband is a chef so that was not a good answer lol. I love chipotle but not this one, they need to improve a lot more. Will not came again here.

My first experience here was very disappointing. The line was very short, so I got my food quickly, which was nice, but that’s the only positive part of the experience. The burrito was laughably small. Seriously, 60% the size of a standard Chipotle burrito. I mentioned to the girl at the checkout that the burrito was ridiculously small, and she kind of shrugged it off. Rather than insisting they make a real sized one, I just decided to leave well enough alone and leave. I will come back and try again in the future, but I’m bummed that I seem to have gotten off to a bad start with the brand new Chipotle at the mall.

Tanforan is definitely stepping up its game by adding a Chipotle into its food court. Replacing the Green Salsa area, Chipotle is definitely a nice addition to the standard food court life. It’s located right next to Panda Express and since it is still recently opened, the service is still a bit slow. Just give them time to pick up the pace, though. Since it is located right inside the food court, there are seats everywhere to sit at except it might be difficult to find a seat on Friday and Saturday nights since that’s when everyone seems to be at the mall. This Chipotle is like every other Chipotle you’ve probably been to. You tell the first person what you want, what kind of rice, beans, and meat and then they’ll pass you along to a second person and from there you’ll get your salsa, sour cream, corn, lettuce… It’s a pretty simple process. Prices are what they are. I ended up paying around $ 8 for a steak bowl, but damn– it was good. Overall, would get it again if I was in the area.

Tanforan has finally decided to step their game up, and have opened a Chipotle in the food court! I can’t even tell you how long I’ve been waiting for this moment… I came by on day 2 of their opening and I can’t really review a place that is still«in training». They’re still trying to get in the swing of things, which is completely understandable, especially considering how Chipotle prep seems to be a science. Staff is extremely friendly and the food, compared to other locations, still needs a little tweaking. Other than that, I’m satisfied!
