Awful place. They judge people at the door and charge cover to whoever they want. What a scam. Tiny place. DJ was lame.

The girl who made my drink needs to take bartender lessons because her drink made me sick! The music is just blah… the only thing I liked is the lighting. The venue is too tight and there’s not enough room to dance. I paid $ 20 bucks for this? Thanks but no thanks. Also, the bouncers are rude.

I got there and the bouncer told me that it was $ 20 a person for a cover I showed him the cards that an employee from ad gave to me when she was promoting the club. The bouncer said that they aren’t valid today because it was memorial day weekend. I was there on a Sunday the cards say valid only on sundays. the cards get me a free cover and a free first drink. It doesn’t say anywhere on the cards that they aren’t valid for holidays I wasn’t going to pay 20 dollars for something that should’ve been free so I left.

We stumbled upon this spot after dinner. We wanted to find a hip hop club that was trendy yet still played music beyond top 40. We arrived at this venue around 9:30p and had free admission. The staff offered us free jungle juice shots which we gladly accepted. Most people were friendly. Being that we arrived fairly early the club has every few people. We were told that most clubs in this area fill up by 11p. He was right by 11 pm the club was packed and we could barely move around. The music was current and we enjoyed ourselves. They have VIP areas and women also dance in costumes on pillars. It was interesting to say the least. I will definitely keep this on my go to list.

So happy we ended up in AD. Our group had just left a very disappointing spot and the promoter for this night saw us walking by and grabbed my attention after reading my shirt. So we decided to stop in and we spent the next few hours there dancing and drinking and having an amazing time. The music was on point, the layout of the floor makes it great for dancing and moving through the room. The bar is shallow so be prepared to make your presence known to get your drinks. They bartenders are quick, kind and pour them stiff so enjoy!

This place was live! Went for the 1st time to celebrate my friend’s birthday on Saturday 4÷23÷16. We got bottle service in a great location. Music was rocking! People were rocking! Great looking crowd and everyone came to party!

Number doesn’t work, guy who answered was very rude. How are you going to promote a club and have the wrong number on the site and on Unilocal

I went here on a Saturday night arriving around 1:30, there was no wait and ladies got in for free. The bouncers were very sweet and friendly. Once inside men were overwhelmingly touchy, so I hung around a security guard. There was room to dance, and the club was decorated nicely. Yet there were very few security guards spread out, so once the one I was next to left I just booked it out. I mean out of the blue I was actually pushed against a wall and grinded on as I was actually leaving. I’ve been to plenty of clubs — this was the weirdest experience. Certainly the club can’t control people’s actions but they can regulate them, so they really need to hire more security or increase the cover for men: probably both. It’s a nice club otherwise.

Didn’t have to wait in the line to get in. Amazing promoters. Friendly and attentive staff and great crowd who like to tear it down! Friday nights are awesome at AD!

What a random Sunday! A promoter pulled us off the street on a rainy night and gave us enough free drinks to convince us to spend a few hours dancing and people watching. Although it’s not really my scene, it was hip-hop heavy and the DJ was doing a decent job. The people inside looked a bit worse for wear but overall the place was pretty good!

When looking for a guaranteed good night out in SDAD is my go to spot. Hard to find good hip hop clubs these days but the DJ at Ad always has the music on point. Music — 5* mostly hip hop Venue– 3* small club so getting drinks can be a hassle and at times it can be too packed. staff– 4* the promoters at AD super solid, they def make sure the guest have a good time. Ask for Matt he always going the extra step All in all AD one of my favorite spots to go to.

It was a small space compared to what you usually find in a night club. We had open bar the first hour it opened, and a free champagne with a Unilocal check-in. The open bar featured 50 bleu vodka with a mixer of your choice. I enjoyed the free glass of champagne. That’s a major plus for me and it made the venue a better place than otherwise. The bouncers weren’t patrolling the place too heavily like at other venues, which made the atmosphere more relaxed.

My friend and I came here on a whim on Halloween. We had fun at the bartenders were keeping an eye on us. If they felt like someone was almost too gone, they give you waters and then serve you another. I like that there were two places to order drinks and they made sure to make it in less than 5 mins. The music was a mix of hip-hop, house, and dance, which was really nice. They had cool go-go dancers and cool electronic effects. It was cool to see people to order bottle service. May be back for next Halloween.

Gave it three stars for the following reasons: it’s a very small venue. I personally did not like the set up or the music. It was mostly house music but was advertising hip hop Saturday night. And the drinks were way overpriced I paid 20 $ for an Adiós Mutha F… but overall a mixed crowd and ultimately I had a good time. The bouncers on the floor weren’t rude to me but I noticed were being rude to other people, yelling at them to move down the hall and urging everyone at the end of the night to and I quote«Get the F… Out» I’m sorry but you don’t talk to people that way if you want them to come back.

My girls and I visited San Diego this past weekend. We checked out the nightlife and one of the clubs we went to was AD thanks to a promoter that came up to us outside the club. His name was David D. He was so adamant for us to try out his club before going to Fluxx where we knew Snoop was going to be at. We decided to give it a try. He walked us in with free entry, gave us all rounds of champagne, and two free shots. I even got to have my Henny as a choice! All this on a Sunday. He got our number down so he can take us to Fluxx for Snoop since that was our original plan. When we were ready, he walked us out and paid for our taxi to Fluxx. He is the reason I put 5 stars. It also helped that the music was on point. There needs to be more promoters like him. Bay Area(where I’m from) promoters can take some notes. I’ll definitely be back.

The club had good music and that’s why it received that second star. I came here for the first time for a friend’s birthday. Birthday girl got bottle service and the table was a good size and the bouncers seemed cool with our really large group but it went down hill from there. I have to say that when you oversell a table that’s shady. Bought a second bottle but then were told to leave the table because another group was coming. Some were confused as to what was going on. I have to say I’ve only see this happen at a super whack club in LA called Belasco. If you finish your bottle, they kick you out and usher in another group. Way to upset the birthday gal. I wouldn’t come back to buy bottle here with that kind of risk of shady and really being obvious that they aren’t about customer satisfaction. They also overcharged too. I’m not going to get into details cause I was not directly involved but I was sure pissed. The other issue I did have was way too much traffic at our table and wasn’t roped off clearly toward the middle of the night. The guys definitely have to pay cover. I’d say cool to drop by but try to avoid giving anymore of your business to this club. I find it appalling to witness this kind of business practice.

I went here on a Friday night for a friend’s birthday. AD Nightclub is a smaller venue but nonetheless, we all had a great time! We had bottle service & free entrance into the club. The tables are situated around the dance floor & ours was located near the bar(uh-oh). Many of us pregamed at Star Bar before coming & were glad we did so because the drinks, like at any other DTSD club, were quite expensive(4 drinks for $ 57). The music was great, a mix of Hip-Hop &EDM, but they tend to replay songs. Mann performed & he played his hit song«Buzzin’» but unfortunately, that was the only song he performed. The dance floor is small & as the night went on, we felt like sardines. There is 2 ways to the restroom: through the crazy dance floor & thankfully, a track behind the tables. A few friends tried to get on guest list but when they submitted their request, a representative never contact them as the form stated they would.

Nice venue, spacious, lots of bottle service tables. Ventilation & air seemed to flow nicely throughout the space. 2 dancing posts and 1 aerobic sheet twirling girl in the air was a nice touch. Love that the smoking section is away from the entrance. –Came to see DJ Mustard & only paid $ 10 cover! –Drinks are on the expensive side, $ 12 for a Amaretto Sour or mixed drink. –Two bartender dudes in the back were super friendly and tentative though! –Bouncer brothers in the smoking section(from Hawaii, one is a boxer) were super friendly However, I will say that the main dude looking at id’s and asking for names on the guest list is a dooche. He was super short, cold, not friendly, not informative and definitely thought too highly of himself. LIGHTENUP, without people coming to AD and waiting in line, your club ain’t shit. ***Lastly, if you guys are advertising DJMUSTARD who is known for straight hip-hop/ratchet sets, then you should re-evaluate your starting Dj’s. STOPSLAPPINGEDM, when the majority of the club wants hip-hop sets***
