Teriyaki Turkey Burger — A lunchtime hero. With only three traditional fast-food restaurants in the area(Carl’s Jr, McDonalds, and kfc/taco bell) choices are limited for drive-thru. Carl’s Jr. is convenient and affordable. I’m going to focus in on my personal favorite, the Teriyaki turkey burger(and actually the entire line of turkey burgers). When you talk bang for the buck, this burger is a tasty, filling, lower calorie option for someone on the go. The Turkey burgers are usually the same format as their regular beef burger couterparts with only the patty changing and a non-white bun with some oats on top. The flavor is pronounced enough so your taste buds should be satisfied. Tip — Look, it’s fast food. You probably shouldn’t actually look at the gray turkey disc inside the burger or what the government qualifies it to be called a «turkey burger patty». Just know that it tastes good.

Well I hate to admit it but once in a blue-moon, I like to get a hamburger at Carl’s. I had never been to this location however I had a German visitor with me and decided to show him a burger other than In N Out. We decided to dine in. We arrived and«Dazzie» greeted us with«yes?». My friend ordered a Super Star Hamburger and paid and I was ready to pay but she had headphones on and must have been taking an order from the drive through window. I waited and waited and waited. Finally, she again said«yes?» and I almost said«Do you mean, may I help you?», but I ordered a Famous Star Hamburger and an orange juice. We sat down and my friend commented on the rather poor customer service. There were no other customers in the restaurant. My friend’s hamburger was brought to the table and he finished it before I got mine, despite the fact that I arrived at the same time. Mine came, minus the orange juice. Dazzie herself brought mine and I asked about my drink and she said I could not hear you, I was on the headphone and it wasn’t working well and I never charged you for it. Yes, but I was standing right in front of you. So, not only did she not offer to ring me up a drink, she just walked away. Never again for me at this location. I read Elizabeth M’s review and her experience with customer service was the same as mine. The owner/manager of this store has work to do. No wonder it has a lot of bad Unilocal reviews and few customers.

Staff is soooo friendly… not. I came thru drive thru around 10pm and the lady acted like we were bugging her. I gave 2 stars because the fries were hot and the burger was fresh and pretty good. I just wish the people here would be more friendly and communicate to their customers like their business means something to them. Without the customers you can’t get paid. That’s how I see it.

I guess this is the difference between 2 star vs 4⁄5 stars… when you have to greet the prompter… and the guy says«go ahead». Wow… now that’s some service, buddy. LoL. This occasion was for Hubbs. Hubbs and his horrible need to eat fast food. Plus after that greeting I didn’t want anything from there anyway. If you can’t put enough effort to answer the prompter with a hearty greeting, probably not much of a heary effort in the food…

Make sure you check your order before you leave. I didn’t & when I complained that I paid more then what I got, all they sent me was a famous star meal & I had to wait a whole month before someone took care of it. Whoever owns this franchise could care less of their customers.

This location has some of the worst food I have had at any carls jr. The burgers have been cold and dry and very sloppy. The zucchini I got was very undercooked like eating raw dough. This location is walking distance from my work so it’s one of the quick choices for me when I’m on break but the quality is horrible and don’t frequent this location for food anymore just for drinks.

I’m really sad to say both times I have tried breakfast here, the biscuits were terrible and dry. In fact, one of the biscuits shouldn’t even be called a biscuit, it was a sliver of a biscuit trying to hang onto the egg. The eggs and cheese were dry. Clearly, they were made long ago. I expect breakfast to be freshly made at 0830 in the morning. I can’t understand why the only carls that makes decent biscuits is the one in governor drive! I feel like, do I have to physically go in and ask for a fresh one? Step up Carls!

Now, I’m not suggesting that everybody needs to come to this super chic trendy happening spot, because I’m not. Honestly, it’s your conventional Carl’s Jr. that happens to be around a ton of businesses. Not worth going out of your way for. The employees are friendly(enough) and definitely not rude as many of you seemingly desire to feel. They used to have those touch-screen ordering machines, but those really didn’t do much to make things better, so it’s no surprise they took them out. Those machines never accepted coupons or even allow you to order the cheap-o spicy chicken sandwiches anyways. They have TVs to distract you so that you’re not left trying to entertain yourself. However, they only show something called The Bite, which isn’t the most interesting to watch, but it is what it is. The edge that I give to this particular location is the fact that it is the only place among the others that WON’T CHARGEYOUANEXTRADOLLAR for using your card in the transaction. I can’t even count how many times I’ve gone to other locations and witness the look of horror on the faces of so many patrons upon losing that dollar due to lack of attention to detail. So why 5 stars, you ask? Because they don’t ever try to f with me and my money, and I feel satisfied just about every time I come here. Plus, it helps that I always use coupons here since they always send them to me in the mail. I suppose if you started using them like I do, you wouldn’t feel so ripped off, therefore actually enjoying yourself even if just for a tiny bit.

Uh… It’s Carl’s Jr. Close to work and provides lower fat Turkey Burger options. My choice over Mickey Ds or Burger Sling.

Changed my view on this place. Went today to get a sandwich and paid extra for the chicken patty instead of the hamburger patty. I was on a quick lunch from work so this was the fastest place for me. I get back to the office only to see that they didn’t give the chicken patty that I paid extra for. So, now I have a sandwich that I cannot even eat! No time to go back — VERYUPSET. I tried to call and their phone just rings and rings. LAST time going to this Carls!

Its Carl’s Jr. Can’t say its the best. Can’t say its the worst. Being near Sorrento Valley and Miramar, it seems a factory. Come here for the food not the service.

It’s quick and easy. What the H*ll have they done with their fries?! Blegh! I try to avoid fast food but sometimes I can’t get out of work until 2pm and I’m starving and have about 7 minutes to eat so I have little to no choice. People that scour reviews and then send the reviewer«compliments» about how they never review mom & pop places are lame. Just sayin…

The quality of food is always inconsistent. I get a really juicy and mouthwatering burger one day or I get a really dry and sad looking burger that leaves me unfufilled and wishing I drove the extra mile /bucks on Fuddruckers and oh, those unwanted calories. At least at Mcdonalds I know that I’ll be getting excatly what I want, every time. Yes, I just praised Mcdonalds for its consistency.

The hispanic girl with the short man’s haircut stole my change. It was only about 55 cents but the way she did it was scandalous. Yesterday night I went through the drive thru and ordered a combo meal. I handed her the money, instead of giving me my change she places my change on the ledge so I couldn’t reach it. I didn’t care about three change but wanted to see where she was going to take this stunt. Would she pick up the change and hand it to me. She didn’t, instead she eyed the change real fast while handing me my order. So ghetto that they hire people like this, last time I eat here.

In the decades I’ve been eating CJ’s at the many locations I have never been let down by the SuperStar, a hefty sized double cheeseburger with everything topping combination of everything a burger should be. I really came here not because I was having a craving, but I wanted to try the new steakhouse burger(A1 sauce, crispy fried onions, bleu cheese and bacon). So even at 1pm the drive through and lot is packed and people are waiting at the counter for 3 minutes and 8 to pick up even with the kiosks for self ordering right there. My six dollar patty was much smaller than I remember, the bun was as expected, but I didn’t see any bleu cheese, hardly any bacon and the A1 sauce added nothing to the flavor. A fail all the way around. Still have good fries and plenty of ranch upon request. Service was horrible. Customers were flagging down employees and managers with questions, requests, cashier was walking away mid order and completely inattentive. Sure it’s lunch and its busy, but service should never suffer that much even at a fast food restaurant. Your still a paying customer and this place did not live up to other CJ’s around. I do like them, but with this being the closest to my work this is why I come to this location so rarely.

For some mysterious reason, this place has better food during the day. In the wee AM hours of the night, the food gets smaller… mayhaps they know drunkards and the stoned are their only customers during this time frame and assume they won’t notice the noticeably smaller portions(FYI: WEDONOTICE)? In any case, I am in position to argue against their delectable waffle fries and the fact I can indulge in late night grubbin’.

My low-carb burger was as moist as a dehydrated cork. As a matter of fact, the juiciest and most succulent part of my meal was the box it came in.

OK… So I didn’t think I would put in a review of a chain fast food restaurant like this but here I am. This is for all the folks trapped in Miramar for lunch. This is the ONLY Carl’s Jr I ever go to. This is the one closer to the 805 not the one by the 15. I like the dinning room and the flat screen TV’s that play sports and music videos. It is a nice place to go with a coworker for a sit down fast food lunch. In general I don’t eat at Carl’s but this is one of the best places to sit and eat lunch when you are going the fast food route in Miramar. My rating is based on the setting, the food is the standard Carl’s menu. They do have two computer kiosks to place your order if you like that kind of thing and I do.
